    Pet Spot

After reviewing grooming services on Angie's List I decided to give them a try. First I called and asked if I needed an appointment. They told me I could come in anytime - which was extremely helpful because it is very difficult to make appointments fit into my schedule.

When I arrived there were four employees working diligently on a number of dogs in the shop. I was a bit nervous because my dog is relatively new to me and I wasn't sure how he would be around other dogs. The employees were very kind and totally understood. While they showed how much they loved the dogs they put them into secured areas so my dog would be more comfortable. Then they all seemed to stop and give attention to my dog in order to comfort him and make him feel more relaxed.

They did a very good job - took their time in order to make sure my pet was comfortable. The attention they gave not only to the dog but to me was over the top. It certainly showed that they aren't just doing a job but they are doing a service for others and loving what they do at the same time.

4 Corners Errands & Pet Care
Heather worked for us and every time I came to work Lulu (our little Chihuahua) would beg in front of Heather till she picked her up and petted Lulu. So, I was elated to hear that Heather started her own Dog Sitting Business and baking home made treats for all the Dogs she takes care of.  Lulu stayed with her for 6 days and Heather texted me a picture of Lulu so I knew she was OK. Heather is so good with dogs and I would highly recommend you leave your Dog with her!!

    BAKER'S BRIDGE VETERINARY CLNC
Moved to the area recently and needed medication and prescription dog food for an older (14 yrs) dog. Dr Marshall graduated from my home state Iowa) vet school then studied animal neurology after he graduated. This is my only interaction with him. However, I spoke with an aquaintance who said he had provided exceptional care for her two dogs - one with epilepsy and the other with some other unusual conditon.

Spoke to the head groomer on phone. Sounded great, but my dog was actually trimmed by someone new. His haircut was extremely short, not to |my directions....maybe I wasn't clear enough of how long I expected a puppy cut to be. All were very nice, but I found another groomer I like |a lot and don't want to chance another mistake.

Pam & Best Friends Pet Groom
This is our third visit using Pam's. This time we had to leave out Labrador at a kennel where Pam's also provides grooming. Once again they provided a great service. and quot;Tedand quot; looked and smelled wonderful. And this sure has helped him not shed so much.

Took very good care of our Labrador while we were away for two nights. He was not kept inside alone, but had about 6 hours of supervised play time with other dogs each day. We were able to have him groomed before we picked him up. He came home happy and tired!

    ALPINE ANIMAL HOSPITAL
Since the cat was from the shelter, the vet did not charge for the initial exam (very nice and much appreciated). They provided all the necessary shots and the exam was very thorough. He had an ongoing slight respiratory problem from his stay at he shelter and a couple of other issues (small lump on left side of throat, missing patch of fur on back). Rather than advise additional services or medicines, they gave me some practical instructions for in home monitoring and care.

    THE PUP TENT
I am a dog trainer and wildlife biologist. I was very worried about leaving my dogs for 3 weeks. One is 13 and "acting old" mixed breed, and the other is a sciddish Goldendoodle. I had the dogs kenneled in another facility and had used pet sitting services, but both were extraordinary expensive for a 3 week stay. Pup Tent cost half the amount of the other facilities for the long term stay. I set all the reservations up over the phone.  When I took the dogs to the kennel, I was pleasantly surprised how clean and new it was. It is surrounded by cow fields, so the dogs can be outside and not bother neighbors and have the cows to watch. Plus, they do not have the huge overhead expenses of other Knoxville kennels. The staff were very courteous and professional. They seem to really understand dogs and love what they do. As I was leaving the dogs there, I saw them in the outside enclosure. They were both so happy and wagging their tails and loving the employee there. When I picked them up, they were very happy and healthy. They were not heavier from sitting around and doing nothing like I have experienced in the past with other kennels. It was clear they had been active. While I was traveling, I was able to phone the kennel and get updates on the dogs. The kennel also provides a grooming service, so I had both dogs bathed before coming home. They looked great. I was very pleased with Pup Tent. They love what they do and cared for my dogs like they were theirs. I will use them again certainly.

    Canine Castle Doggy Day Care
My dog has severe separation anxiety. I can't always take her with me, especially in the New Mexican heat. Canine Castle has been a lifesaver. My dog loves to go there and the owners are wonderful and know each dog individually. They always write a little report card so I have an idea as to what my dog did that day. Melissa is certified in so many things including pet first aid and pack management. Melissa and Bob are wonderful.

    Healthy Hounds & Fat Cats
My dog has huge separation anxiety issues but she loves going to Healthy Hounds. We put her in doggy daycare when we are gone for the day and this is the only place that we will kennel her. The first time we kenneled her, we were gone for a couple of weeks. After 5 days of being kenneled at night, my dog got diarrhea. Healthy Hounds tried changing her food, then they realized that it was the kennel itself so the owner personally took my dog home every night and treated her as one of her own-let her sleep on the sofa, took her hiking. It meant the world to us that they would go out of their way for our dog.
