Lakes Dermatology - Dr. F. Victor Rueckl, MD
Dr. Rueckl is the best in Las Vegas and I have been seeing him for 19 years. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Lakes Dermatology is a group of really friendly and caring people.

    Grand River Primary Care
Dr. Brown is an excellent physician. I have been her patient for 10 years and continue to see her even though she is a more expensive choice on my particular health plan (Rocky Mountain Monument Plan). She is through, caring, up to date on the latest research. This is a Grade A physician!

    Delta Family Physicians
I have a health issue and Delta Family Physicians helped me to get Medicare to cover my oxygen needs. I've been seeing them for about a year and I really like them. They're prompt and do good follow-up. If they need to refer you to a specialist, they send you to the hospital, because we live in a small area. So we go in one place to get most of everything. They're very responsive. When the results come back, they call you quickly. They take their time when you're in the appointment with them. I see a nurse practitioner and she's really good. She's just as good as a doctor. The staff is good. When you walk in the door, you sign in right away and there's not a long wait to get into your appointment. I call them and they get messages to the right person and I get called back promptly. They also handle any paperwork efficiently. I'm happy with them, especially since they take their time with you.

    Ryan, Dr. Steven E.
After listening to my concerns, Dr. Ryan immediately did an ECG test to check out my heart. After finding that everything was normal, he suspected a problem with my digestive tract and referred me to a gastrointestinal specialist. Come to find out, he was right on with his suspicions. Everyone in our family has been visiting Dr. Ryan for about 20 years, and he has handled every concern thoroughly and with a good dose of common sense. Every time he refers us to a specialist, we have been extremely happy with the doctor and the results. He takes the time to listen to the issues surrounding the problem and approaches the solution methodically, yet with warmth and the human touch. Although I have occasionally had to wait longer than I'd like for my appointment, it's because he doesn't rush patients through like cattle. I'm willing to work with a bit of a wait in exchange for a doctor who really cares about his patients.

    Orthopedic Associates
I had x-rays done and they said sprain but called the following morning and said you need to see an orthopedic surgeon. Called back and asked for Dr. Jason Lucas who replaced both of my knees and I trusted completely and liked the interaction I got with him. They advised me he didn't do ankles and scheduled me with Dr. Lawrence (Larry) Ward. I got right in but I didn't feel he cared about the injury and said yes a slight break keep wearing the boot and I will see you in a couple weeks. The pain got worse rather than better so I called 3 times to advise them of the pain and what I should do as my appointment was still over a week away. I had a followup appointment with Dr. Lucas on my knees the week prior to my return appointment with Dr. Ward and thought I would talk to them then. The nurse came out and said because I am older it takes longer to just wait Dr. Ward couldn't see me. I saw Dr. Lucas and explained what was going on and he said he would see what he could do, he came back and said Dr. Lawrence (Larry) Ward will see me. They took me for x-rays of my ankle, then I saw Dr. Ward. He said so you still hurt? yes Well you aren't getting surgery....I said I don't want surgery I just want the pain to go away. He never really examined my foot, said he didn't like the boot emergency gave me and that insurance might not pay for another boot. I said look I don't care I just want injury fixed cast it, put me in another boot, do and MRI, anything. He said if I insist he will authorize an MRI. I checked out, handing in paperwork for MRI...a week went by and no call from office on MRI...I called questioned what was taking so long, they said they needed him to dictate report, I said I don't care book the MRI, after I called my insurance and got an authorization number they scheduled and appointment out of their office with Xray of New Mexico the following week. I went and they said here is a disc your doctor is going to want to see this and please don't be walking too much. My appointment was that afternoon so I went to the appointment early, gave them the disc. Dr. Lawrence (Larry) Ward said there is a possible tear of the one of my tendons that I needed to keep wearing the boot for two more weeks and come back that it takes time and that his response to surgery or non surgery was the same. I continued to hurt, I sat around and kept it elevated, didn't walk much at all in this heavy boot and returned for my appointment. He said well I can try and do surgery to repair it but sometime just a cut makes you think that it is repaired and the pain will go away. I said really....what other choice....you can keep wearing the boot for 3 more weeks and it will probably be healed by that point. I immediately left his office, called insurance to check procedures for a 2nd opinion and was told I could just make the appointment. I did just that with another office, he examined my foot and said that I had several torn tendons and ligaments and that surgery should have been done at the time of injury not 6 weeks later said that I may not get total function of my ankle back. I had surgery 3 days later and just in the last week have been able to put any weight on my foot. I would never go see Dr. Ward nor would I refer anyone to him. I have since talked to a supervisor over a group of physical therapists and she said there is not one of them that would go to or refer anyone to Dr. Lawrence (Larry) Ward. Stay clear of Dr. Lawrence (Larry) Ward, his nurse is non caring as well. Nothing against orthopedic associates Dr. Jason Lucas is fantastic, my husband is seeing Dr. Pence and I have heard of other great doctors there I just didn't get lucky and got Dr. Lawrence Ward who isn't fit to practice as far as I am concerned.
