    My Subaru died while driving. After getting it started, with a "check engine light" on O went to autozone who performed a diagnosis ... camshaft position sensor.  I took it to D & L who performed a diagnostic ($78) (same results as the free diagnostic with Autozone. They replaced the  sensor.  Ninety miles later .... same thing!  Took it back to D & L ... another diagnostic ($78!) and purchase again of another sensor.  Since my Subaru was now at approx. 100,000 miles I also had them replace the timing belt when they did the second sensor.  I received a call from them that they had found my power steering unit was slightly leaking fluid.  Hmmm. I told them never mind I would pick up the vehicle and look into the power steering unit problem later.  When I went to pick up my vehicle I was told that the power steering unit had dumped fluid all over the shop floor and the vehicle was not driveable.  ()Now, up until this repair I had NEVER smelled or had problems with leaking fluids or with the power steering unit ... ka-ching!... well over 600 dollars to replace the power steering unit alone with them.  In addition to this problem potential, clients should be forewarned that THE LABOR WARRANTY ON REPAIRS IS ONLY 30 DAYS!!! Since this financial nightmares occurred I have been to other repair shops in and around Cortez and Mancos and labor warranties from these shops vary between 6 months and a year ....

    I called a week or two in advance to schedule the appointment. I was coordinating this appointment with two others I had in Durango on the same day. I live over 50 miles away so I try to schedule multiple appointments when I need to go to Durango as well as scheduling them for my day off of work.

    I arrived at the appointed time (2:00) and had to wait to get help from the employee. When I told him my name and what service I was there for he couldn't find me on the schedule. I was told they were booked full that day and I had to reschedule. I told them I had booked this two weeks prior and that I didn't live nearby and rescheduling to come back the following week would be a major inconvenience. I was told if I wanted it done that day I could wait and they would fit me in but the repair that was supposed to take 1 1/2 hours would be at least an hour longer wait. I agreed. Four hours later my car was finally finished, my plans for other errands I had to run were ruined as they don't offer loaner vehicles for customers to use.

    They do offer a shuttle service which is nice, except if you need to make multiple stops to different locations. I did use the shuttle service to make it one appointment. The driver was very pleasant, professional, and punctual. He was the only bright spot in the whole frustrating experience.

    The dealership had recently changed ownership and having had multiple bad experiences with this dealership under the previous ownership I had hoped this would be a better experience...unfortunately, it was not. I will only go there if my car needs recall work as the only other Toyota dealership in the area is even farther away.

    My husband regularly takes his vehicle to Auto Masters but this was my first experience using them.  I arrived at the appointed time and had to wait to speak to someone as the person behind the counter was on the phone.  Someone in the back office noticed me and immediately came out to help me.  We completed the paperwork and they got started on my car right away.
    Overall it was a good experience and I will definitely take my car there again.  They offer a good price on oil changes and we regularly get discount coupons in the mail from them.  I didn't have a coupon that but they gave me the discount anyway.  I appreciated that.  They are also walking distance from my place of business, which is convenient if I need to leave my car while I'm at work.

    In October of 2012, I had an alignment done on my recently purchased 2003 VW Eurovan by one of those in-and-out tire shops that do alignments. They said they didn���t have the right tool to adjust the Camber.  I soon learned that this particular vehicle is finicky and clearly needs care by an experienced VW mechanic. So I sought out a shop that claims to specialize in European vehicles ��� specifically VW ��� and was prepared to pay the cost for a full and proper alignment.  I pre-screened Animas Automotive before making an appointment. I explained to the office manager that I specifically needed a full alignment and that the camber required a specific tool. The man on the phone confidently assured me that they had worked on the Eurovan and that they would have no problem doing a full and proper alignment. 
    I drove 60+ miles one way and showed up sharp at 8 am. Upon my arrival, I reiterated/stressed the specificity of  camber needing a special wrench. I could tell the office manager wasn't taking me seriously. At some point during my wait he said - there's really no such thing as a 'special tool' - seemingly mocking me. An hour after my arrival, the mechanic came into the waiting area and said I was ready to go but that the camber was not adjustable. Uuuugh. So I explained, directly to the mechanic, that, yes it is, it needs a specific type of wrench.
    The two guys looked at me like I was crazy. Only then did they actually look up the specifications. Two more hours and they finally figured it out. They wanted to charge me labor for the first hour, even though they simply re-aligned the toe.  I said that I would not pay for the first hour, as they did not do what I asked them to do: align the camber.  I am confident that the office manager never even relayed my specific directions to the mechanic. They acted as if they were doing me a favor by knocking off that hour. They repeatedly tried to blame it on the vehicle and made a variety of other excuses. Then it took them 40+ minutes just to get me an invoice. I was there, in the waiting area, 60 miles from home, until after noon: 4+ hours. For an alignment. Turns out that Animas Automotive did not have the correct wrench either although when I made the appointment, I was assured that they had all the right tools��� in the end, they used some other tool ��� hopefully it did not damage the bolt. I drove over 100 miles, wasted over 6 hours of MY time, and paid $223 for an alignment that is worse than it was when I brought it in.
