    Kohler By Renew Home Innovations
I hired this company because of the recommendation by Angie's List. Actually someone from Angie's list called me and recommended this company because they had a "5 star" rating. We agreed to pay $30,000 for this remodel because we wanted the room gutted and we believed that we were getting a company who was "a 5 star" company. Everything that could go wrong did. The only good thing is the work that was done by Baca Construction and they did a great job. Renew Home Innovations has very serious communication problems. The salesman told us the job wouldn't start for 8-10 weeks but would keep us up to date on the status...didn't happen. When we were going out of town we called four times to let them know...never received a call back. The day we were leaving they called and said the job would start the next day....REALLY!! The day after we returned the men from Baca Construction arrived to start the job. Their instructions were different then what we had in our contract. They believed the job could be finished in 3 days, it took 10. Renew was given 50% up front to purchase the parts for the job. The special ordered shower pan was the wrong size, we got different excuses as to why the vanity hadn't been delivered, various other parts were missing. The counter top was cut wrong and that contractor decided to replace it with a kitchen countertop, which was thicker, and that meant the wall plug had to be relocated. The sink is the wrong color. While there was some justification for using the sink that was installed they never contacted us to get our agreement for the change. The countertop contractor only drilled one hole for the faucet fixture, unfortunately the fixture needed three holes. If it wasn't for Baca Construction we would be heading for court today. I would hire Baca Construction with no hesitation but I will never use Renew or Angie's list again. I feel really stupid that I didn't do more research about either of these companies.

    PRO PLUMBING SERVICE
I was very pleased with the work Wes and his assistant did for us. They arrived on time and were very courteous. Since the work was done two and a half weeks ago, I have used the tub and there have been no leaks or other problems. I will not be able to try the shower until the tile is installed. The total cost of the work, including the trim which they have not yet installed, was $1350.00. Since the initial job took all day, it seemed to be a reasonable price. They only asked me to pay $1,000.00 when they left that day, with the other $350.00 becoming due when they return to finish the trim. This is the second time I have used Pro Plumbing and been pleased with their work. I would certainly recommend them to others.

    Versatile
He did an excellent job. I tried to get several estimates, but it turned out he just had the best ideas. I think his prices were in-line and not unreasonably high. The quality of the service was great and his responsiveness was super. All contractors have to work around other schedules, but once he and his co-worker got started they did fine. He gave me a written estimate and a detailed written bill.

    Condon Contracting
We had a slow leak in our shower that wasn't discovered until it did major damage to the walls, floor, and subfloor of our master bathroom, as well as the walls and ceiling of the office below.  What a mess!  Once the basic water damage restoration work was done (by another contractor), I was on the hunt for a general contractor to repair and remodel the bathroom.
I didn't want to reinstall our oversized tub: I wanted to create a walk-in shower plus some storage space.  That required a bit of creative thinking... so I was looking for a contractor with an active mind.  Alas, that can be hard to find.  (Yes, I got bids from a few contractors who seemed brain-dead.)
Thankfully, John Condon was different... in a good way!  He was enthusiastic and thoughtful from our first meeting, offering helpful suggestions and reviewing options for the space that no one else discussed.  Also, I really liked his method of doing jobs quickly, rather than spreading them out over weeks.  He was very communicative, and I didn't feel any hesitation to ask all kinds of stupid questions.
John's bid wasn't the cheapest, but it was reasonable.  I figured that the money would be well-spent -- and I was right.  The Onyx shower is gorgeous, as is the tile work.  John routinely exceeded my expectations, including by helping me find a great drywaller for my other repair work.  The bathroom looks beautiful, and I know that it was done well.  His employee and subcontractors were friendly, considerate, and excellent at their jobs.
John went the extra mile to make sure that I was happy with his work -- repeatedly.  That made a really difficult project so much easier for me.
