Cooper Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electric
Jim was our lead electrician and he set the tone: On time, on budget, and very professional. He did a great job. Communication from Jim was great - a big thing for me. We have one outstanding issue (special circuit breakers needed to ordered), but Jim was on top of it. Our finished electrical work was done well. Very pleased. A rating. YES, we would hire Coopers (and have Jim do the install) again.

    Plumbline Services
FABULOUS! From the first call to completion of work, we could not have asked for anything better. We received a referral to Plumbline from another professional electrician organization because we were outside their service area. Every interaction via phone and email was timely, professional, informative, and relevant. The electrician who took our call was terrific. He took great care of our home as he did his job in practically every room in our house (smoke detectors). He made a fair and balanced recommendation as to what the replacement units should be like (we opted for the no-fuss, no battery change out 10 year guaranteed smoke and CM alarms). He had everything he needed on his well-equipped truck along with the right ladder to handle our 16' ceilings (where one detector is inconveniently located). We did not intend to upgrade lighting in on of our downstairs rooms but were so impressed with his care and expertise, we asked if he had time to add in two new wall sockets. He said that while he was onsite, he would do everything he was able to do so as not to have to trouble us with another service call and that Plumbline had a deep enough bench of qualified electricians that if he could not make his other appointments for that day on time, they would send out someone else. We were blown away! We greatly appreciated and affirm the values of the organization, as articulated on their website. We are so very happy to have found a firm that can handle our electrical needs and somewhat rural location with such terrific quality.

    Electric Doctor
The company was able to come out quickly, in spite of the Christmas holiday. Matt was punctual, polite, and did excellent work. The price for 3 hours work was $399, which I thought was high, although I don't know if any other electrician would have charged less. I had used this company once before, when they also did good work, so I would use them again.

    ALL SEASONS ELECTRIC
Terrible, terrible terrible.  He came and appeared professional and took notes on his tablet and then when work was performed he didn't do many of the items on this list.  The home is in Sedalia,CO and I live in Florida so I was flying back and forth and each time I went back there was work that was not performed or incomplete and I would have to call him and ask him why and then he'd give me a lame excuse.  You would think that he as the contractor would contact me if there was a problem.  He supplied inexpensive fixtures and and again forgot to do many of the items on this list.  I had a brand new microwave sitting on the floor for 6 months because he needed more people to help him put it in place.  Why did it take me insisting that it get taken care of for it to be done.  I showed him a lighting fixture that I wanted to be installed but it would take some assembly and he assured me he could do it and guess what?????  he couldn't so now I am stuck with a $1,000 fixture that I will have to find someone capable to install it.  Again I had to go to him and ask why it hadn't been done.  I could go on and on but this guy is terrible.

The worse part is I don't even think he cares.  He appears to be a professional when you first meet him but you will quickly learn that he would rather be doing anything else but his job.

I'm sure this sounds like I am rambling and maybe I am but I had to hire many contractors and this was by far the worse ever.  This is our dream retirement home and unfortunately he made it a nightmare.  Happily I am paid in full and done with his services.

This is also a risk writing a negative comment as Sedalia is a small town and very difficult to get people to come out to the country" but I feel the need to warn others to keep looking as there are many other professionals out there that will help you build your dream.

    Bigfoot Electric Inc
Upgraded electric panel.  Did the work acceptably, eventually. But lots of basic stuff required in an older home cost extra. And they did not finish the first day, and they did not come back to complete the work until I contacted them several weeks later, when they claimed to have lost my phone number so could not contact me. Yo- use Angie's! Work quality seems to be OK but, who can tell after just a couple of weeks, ask me again in 6 months or a year when something goes wrong and it turns out to be their fault.

They did install the fan but with several significant problems.  They did manage to cut the hole in ceiling, place the fan, and wire a switch.  I requested a timer switch, but they installed one that only timed up to 1 hour - way too short for running a fan to vent the whole house.  They threw away part of the fan so that the high-low switch does not work.  I told them this was unacceptable, but they said too bad, too late, they threw everything away. I gave them contact information for the fan manufacturer so that they could replace the missing pieces, but they never called me back.  Also they do not use email so it is impossible to contact them and relay large amount of information (like the fan make model serial number address phone etc.)

    Mountain Tech Electric
Prior to purchasing the Big Deal, I called to make sure this company served our area as we live a distance out and not all companies do.  Frank assured me that he came to our area frequently, so we went ahead and scheduled.  He arrived promptly and was very flexible with working with my convoluted schedule.  The installation of the light fixtures went well; Frank was very thorough and explained every step of the process.  The chandelier required some assembly and he was very understanding as my teenage daughter and I assembled the many flowers that were to hang from the chandelier.
The only downside to Frank's visit was that I was surprised by the $75.00 visit charge on the bill; this charge negated most of the cost of the Big Deal.  I felt that this charge should have been mentioned when I called to check upon availability of service to our area, but I did not quibble about it as I was happy to have my lights in and working.  Otherwise I was very happy with Mountain Tech Electric.

    Competitive Electric Inc
Efrain Cordova, the owner of Competitive Electric, arrived promptly and scoped out the work I needed done. He presented me with an estimate before doing any work. He was able to identify the wiring problems and finished up in about one hour. On the second job, Efrain again came promptly and isolated the cause of the breaker tripping, installed several new fluorescent lights and a new outlet in our mechanical room all within two hours. On both occasions he completely cleaned up after himself.

I have been both completely satisfied and impressed with his service. He was totally professional, quick to complete the work and left the site immaculate. His prices are very reasonable and the quality of his work is exceptional. I would recommend him for any electrical work.

    Hardesty Electric
I had a specific problem that needed to be fixed. He fixed it. Then he tried to charge me an extra $60! I had something else that needed to be fixed and he told me it would be $150 to fix that. I told him I didn't need it that bad. When I said no to that, he said he needed the $60 for the other work that was done because it wasn't covered by the Big Deal. I feel like he took advantage of me. I finally caved in and paid him to do the extra work for $150 and gave him the $60 extra for the work. I don't know why I did it. He also smelled really bad of cigarettes.

    Plumbline Services
We purchased a home in August that had many light fixtures that did not suit our furniture. The two electricians moved or replaced a total of eight lights and charged us $1200. Although the work appears to be done well and the electricians were obviously knowledgeable and competent, I feel we were charged way too much. I had them do the work anyway because we will have a houseful of guests for the holidays and I didn't want further disruption during their stay. The plumber was very personable but I knew his estimate was way out of line, and since the plumbing concerns were not an emergency, I sent him on his way.
