Well & Water Pump Repair reviews in Colorado Springs

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • The technician, Josh, arrived right on time and did an excellent job. He removed the old pump, installed the new one, and verified that everything was working properly before he left. As usual, I was very impressed by the knowledge and skill of Olson's technician, as well as his overall friendliness and helpfulness. My only (minor) criticism is for their markup on the cost of the replacement pump. The exact same make and model that sells on Amazon for $379 (with free Prime shipping) costs $530 from Olson. That's a $150 (40%) markup over retail, and no doubt considerably more over wholesale. I would have thought that the installation labor charge and the recycling charge for the old pump would have contributed enough profit to the job without such a big overcharge for the part. Still, I will sleep better at night knowing that if anything goes wrong I can count on Olson to take care of it.

  • This company proved to be professional all the way through the process. I felt the price was reasonable for the work done. They gave me several options to consider with a range of prices. It is obvious that professionalism and keeping the customer in the loop are areas of emphasis for Peak Structural as they did both quite well. Based on their reputation (BBB company of the year!) and performance for me, I would not hesitate to use them again.

  • Eric and Ben did a careful and thorough job replacing the window well, and they responded to questions and requests professionally and helpfully. All scheduling and communication were perfect.

  • We woke up to no water. I tried the things I knew how to do, fuses etc. They were prompt and did a good job of problem solving the issue. It was an intermittent problem so wasn't a real clear cut issue. They explained what they were doing, what the costs were along the way. I felt that they were very knowledgeable and did a very good job. We ended up needing a new pressure tank and they got one out there within 30 min and had it installed that day. They seemed very organized and fast. They also had past information on what they had done on my well 10+ years ago (I had forgotten) and they also had the original permit and well documentation. They left a copy of these documents with me.

  • Exceptional.  Josh came out right on time and was very courteous and professional.  My sump pump was working overtime with all the rain lately and he made sure the system was working properly and was was maintaining good integrity through this high demand season.  While here, we walked through the utility room and visually inspected the sewer lines and hot water heater/system.  He ensured me everything was in good working order and did not try to sell any additional or unnecessary work.  Excellent service and professionalism.  Would definitely hire again!

  • After calling another company about our failing pressure tank, and getting no response I called Barnhart pump company. They answered the phone immediately, were very friendly and knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and were able to fit me into their schedule within two days. They even called the day prior to the appointment to remind me,and also to let me know they had a last minute cancellation and was I available to have the work done that day! On the day of the appointment, they showed up on time and prepared in the event our tank needed replaced. They tested the tank, determined it to be waterlogged, and please replaced it with the new one within about an hour and a half. In an industry where there are few companies available, it's nice to know there's still one that is reliable and responsive. Would definitely use them again!

  • Update - After learning of our dissatisfaction, the company contacted us and answered all of our questions in a detailed manner.  The company worked diligently to ensure that everything was working as they worked through each step of the system and kept us informed at each step along the way. They really wanted to make sure that we were satisfied and that we had a working water system. Thankfully, none of the issues that were of concern came up. Their team worked all day to remove the old pump, install a new pump, make sure that the pump and motor were working properly, then digging to find and repair a leak in our line.  At the end of the day, they did a lot of work and even worked with us on the payment. I would even use them again!

Originally, in March of 2014, we contracted a well test on some property we were purchasing. Barnhardt Pump did this testing for us, and gave us the green light on the well.
Next, June 2, 2014, we lost all water. We called Barnhardt Pump that morning and they told us that they would try to get out to us that same day. At around 4 pm, they called us to tell us that they could not make it out. They did show up the following day, did some tests on our system, told me that they thought that there was a leak in the line because they heard water back flowing. They then went out to test our pump, they pulled the pump from the well and did a pressure test, they told me that the pump was working fine. They then tried to put the pump back into the well and it got hung up and they could not get it to go back down. At this point, they connected a garden hose from the well top to the water tank in my house. I asked the employee about the safety of this set up and was told that it would be fine until winter and that they would not be able to get us on their schedule for 6 weeks anyway. The employee then gave me a rough estimate for replacing the pump (as our was 15 years old) and repairing the leak.
We then spent the summer saving up the money to pay for the repair. On July 25th, I called the company to schedule having the work done. We scheduled for August 7, 2014. The gentleman I spoke with, found our paperwork and said that they saw everything that needed to be done. When they show up at our house on the 7th, there seems to be a lot of confusion. The employee who came out then told us that they didn't know that they were replacing the well and that because it has been out so long, they could break the whole well trying to put it back which would cost us even more "who knows" how much!
At this point, they came out in June and broke our well and attached a hose for $450, then told us that it could cost around $3500 to replace the pump and fix the leak. So, we gave them the benefit of the doubt and ask them to come and fix it at which point they tell us that because we followed their advice, they may not be able to fix it and may have to drill an entire new well for an unknown cost!

  • In the afternoon, we found we were out of water. After contacting our usual well company, and 2 others, we found that June is a busy month for well companies. None of the companies had people to spare, even for an emergency. The first available appointment was 5 days away. So, we went to Angie's list, and found Kunau Drilling. We called them, and the office took our information and promised a member of their crew would call us. Within an hour, Jason called and said he could come out that night, after he finished up his current job. He showed up, after keeping us informed of his schedule, and then looked into our well system. He figured out it was a blown fuse, even though the fuse looked okay. With a simple replace, our water was back up and running. He then took some time to explain how the fuse could have gone bad the way it did. We were very thankful he came out to help us after working more than a full day on his current job.

  • My experience with them was not good.  They did kind of a shoddy job initially.  They resealed my window well with dirt and rock.  I didn’t think that the sump was down deep enough.  They came back out and fixed that.  I just discovered the other day that they had dug into one of my sprinkler lines.  So apparently the sprinkler line underground has been blasting water into that window well.  It is kind of a mess right now.  I need to call them back.  I don’t know what their response would be because technically on the contract it says that they are not responsible for hitting lines underground and stuff like that.  They were punctual.
