  • Lousy. The ******* double booked and blamed me for it. He spent good fifteeen minutes with me on the phone explaining his procedure: at 12:30pm you'll arrive, You'll fill out paperwork until 1 pm, we'll talk until 1:45 pm. And then he put me down for 8:30 am in his scheduling book and refused to show me when I showed up at 12:30 pm. If you are desperately in need of help? AVOID THIS ******* AND EVERYONE IN HIS OFFICE. THEY DON'T GIVE A **** ABOUT PEOPLE. They only care about MONEY. UPDATE 8-15-17 I DID NOT CHOOSE THE 9AM TIME. I CANNOT WAKE UP THAT EARLY UNLESS I STAY UP ALL NIGHT. I DO NOT APPRECIATE BEING CALLED A LIAR.

  • I spent a good 15 minutes on the phone arranging the appointment with him. He went into excruciating detail about what would happen from the time I arrived until I left. In addition, this was an appointment that I would have paid for out of pocket. He gave me 2 choices: 0830 hours (i.e. 8:30 am) or 12:30 pm. Well, I am NOT a morning person, so I chose 12:30 pm. I arrived and found another person in the waiting room filling out what I thought was MY paperwork. It was the Brother of a friend of mine. Turned out that Doc Everett had written down the wrong time for me. He swore up and down that I had written down the wrong time in MY planner when in fact HE had done so. He didn't provide me the privacy of speaking with me in his office over HIS mistake, but blamed it on me in FRONT of my Friend's Brother EVEN AFTER I showed him my planner and all the notes I had taken. This man's ego is OUT OF CONTROL. He cannot even consider admitting that MAYBE he was so busy that he neglected to write down RIGHT AWAY my choice of time instead relying on memory. He had the nerve to CALL me and tell me that he thought "stronger relationships are built out of conflict." It wasn't conflict. He called me a liar instead of admitting his own mistake. My suggestion based on my experience and some of the comments I've read here? AVOID THIS EGOMANIAC.

  • He's extremely knowledgeable and very wise. He's extremely up-to-date on medications and their sides on mental health issues and also on their effects on each other. He very much supports the whole health mentality. We're very much pleased. The healthier person is a healthier person. We always make arrangements and he's always responsible about it.

  • We received proper support and direction from Dr. Everett. He was surprisingly good at accommodating us on short notice. He also was very engaging with us and really empathized. Great child psychiatrist with loads of knowledge and experience. His rates might be a little above average, and he may take a day or two to respond to emails and calls, but that is what happens when you hire the best.

  • He is just good at what he does. He talks to me and finds out what is going on. I recommend him. It is an old Victorian house so it is different from other doctor office. Dr. Caster has a leather love seat. The administration side is good but the billing is bad. There are other people in the building like the marriage counselor and others. I don't think they have their own billing or I don't know how they do it.

  • This guy is terrible. He also has some sketchy things that come up when I googled him. Unfortunately this was after I had seen him for over a few months. Please, don't waste your precious time and money on this psychopath.

  • I have appointments with Dr. David Caster every 3 months. He is honest and listens. My medication is a little weird because I have a few different conditions including a sleep disorder so he has taken over treating them and has done the best of anyone. It is depressing to have and you are in pain all the time. He is awesome, his help isn't necessarily but she's been his assistant for a decade or more. She doesn't have the best communication skills with the patients and he has a lot of patients. He goes on vacation often and to far away places where he is out of pocket but it's all scheduled and he always has someone available for emergencies to take his call and things like that; he has an answering service. His office is not handicapped accessible. I will see him until he retires. I think we're some of the ones that he's still holding on to because he's not happy. He doesn't have a suitable recommendation to us yet. He always takes cases that are complicated that other people perhaps aren't qualified or experienced enough to handle. He's a Medicare Ombudsman. He knows the problem with his support person, that's why he has an answering service, a billing and all these other things because those aren't things that she's great with. She's good at managing his schedule. He's brilliant and quite skilled. He really knows his medication and he keeps up with it.

  • The guy CANNOT be reached after hours. I tried to contact him about a referral and billing because his LAZY, LAZY, LAZY secretary can't be bothered to submit referrals or billing to tricare. I had to do all the work myself. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

  • Observing him through this time, despite my having a huge distrust for psychiatry/psychology as mainly unworkable, especially the drugs, I've seen that he's had some pretty good and some not so good providers.  He loves most of those who work at the VA and has many of what he calls his "buddies" all over the place.  His therapists have been helpful and encouraging, helping him to get through some major episodes.  The psychiatrists have mostly been helpful, though most have only prescribed more and more, or different psych drugs.  But his current one, Dr Fry, is trying to help him to gradually get off of all those that he can.  She has been a real mainstay for him.
The anger management classes under Louise Hisey seemed to help him a lot but she's moved on and someone else has replaced her.  A lot of it was how to cope, rather than how to actually remedy the problem.  But it did get him skills for coping.
On the claims process, that was a real horror.  Nothing like adding fuel to the fire when you're already having trouble hanging in there, especially when it's due to Congress and politics and all kinds of our "representatives" trying to "look good" but not pay for or effectively remedy damage done to people who have served in what are usually destructive, politically-motivated (not defense-of-the-country motivated) wars.  That process is just a mess and excruciating.
Clear cut issues (like loading huge bombs into planes with flat feet; diminished hearing, based on the records; and prostate cancer, when he'd been around Agent Orange in Vietnam) were denied.  It took scaring the livin' daylights out of the Compensation and Pension (C & P) psychiatrist, which I'm sure he didn't mean to do, to get rated for PTSD.  I watched the whole thing, saw her question him about his past, saw him lose touch with his environment and get pretty scary acting out something from 1968.  Sad that it takes something that blatant to get through their heads that the VA should take responsibility for the harm done to him while serving.

  • We use her a lot. She always has a smile on her face and I think that is the biggest piece right there. You walk in and she does not have her mind on anybody else, she is thinking about you. She is really good. We will going to see her again next week.
