  • They put in a camera on our chimney to check if there is something wrong, they are also informing me if ever that I'll be needing inspection and cleaning in the future, also they are giving advises for do's and don't that I need to follow to maintain a good and functioning chimney.

  • From scheduling to service this is a top notch company. I was very impressed with how both of my gas fireplaces were cleaned and given a fresh new look. Chimney on top of roof was inspected and some minor cracks and potential leaks were found. I appreciate finding out about these minor problems early on so the repairs can be made before a costly problem develops.

  • What an outstanding company! We phoned to book an appointment and was told they were booked solid six weeks out. We explained that we needed the work done as a result of a home sale inspection resolution. The scheduler could have said "sorry", but she promised she would get us worked in in 3-5 days. Four days later we got the call! The work was accomplished by Michael and another gentleman (I didn't catch his name) quickly and efficiently. Tarps were placed over the carpet and everything was left clean...especially the fireplace!

  • Michael & Rick were on time and went right to work. They covered the carpet to be sure the carpet was protected and did an awesome job cleaning the fireplace. They went up on the roof to inspect the cap and chimney and advised us that some repairs needed to be made around the crown of the chimney and gave us some options for repair. We followed their advice and since we were selling this rental we wanted to be sure it would pass inspection (which it did). Thanks Ray's Chimney!

  • These gentlemen came to clean out my chimney. I also asked to them to repair a crack in the back of the fireplace because the home inspector told me it needed to be repaired. However, they immediately recognized the crack as superficial, and not dangerous. They said it did not need to be repaired. In my opinion, they could have told me it needed to be repaired and charged me more money. But they gave an honest opinion and thus didn't charge for unnecessary work.

  • The crew did a great job and provided some great ideas on how to insulate the fireplace when we are not using it to keep the cold air drafts from coming in. I really appreciated that. Loved the top hats they were wearing when they showed up at the door!

  • Great job. The repair day was delayed due to snow but they made it back the next clear day and did what appeared to be a great job, making sure our stove and chimney were operating safely and efficiently. After the repairs were complete we contacted them to assist with an insurance form confirming our wood burning stove was installed and operating up to current codes. They did this for us along with a few more visits and additional work just because Ray "was up last night thinking about how to make our stove more efficient". These improvements along with a couple of heat sensors have really improved how we use our stove. Using notably less wood while keeping the home comfortable. We did contact the office to see if there would be additional charges, to our surprise we were told no. Very pleased and grateful!

  • The crew of 2 worked like a synchronized timepiece to get each process done efficiently. No mess, they covered up everything important. They also recommended which type if fireplace insert would work for my particular arched fireplace. Great job!

  • The sweeps did an excellent job getting the fireplaces cleaned and explaining the issue with our gas log. We opted to cap off the gas line for now, so they didn't do the repair, yet, but we will call them when we're ready to get it working again. My only negative critique is that the sweeps did not use shoe covers and one of their vacuums left dust. Not a lot, but we had just had the carpets cleaned, so I am especially sensitive to the dust.

  • I called the company on Monday at 9:30 am. No human answered the phone, but the recorded message indicated that they were very busy, so I had to leave a voicemail. I gave my name and phone number, then repeated both name and phone number. Two days (fifty hours, to be precise) have elapsed, and I have not heard anything from Dr. Soot. I place a high value on customer service, so I will not call this company again.
