They talked us through the entire process and we���re able to repair a line rather than add a new zone, which saved us money. They are honest, hard working and reliable. I highly recommend them!

    These guys are great! Very flexible on their working schedule, they even came by on Sunday to finish up the sod! The wife and I couldn't be happier with the sod and new deck they installed. On top of that he threw in mulch work that I didn't even ask for, but it desperately needed it! Rich is great!

    For those who are not avid fans of reading long posts, in summary, I highly suggest to beware of engaging in any business with Byron Decker of Byron Deker Landscaping. Mr. Deker was found to be unprofessional, undependable, unreliable and unethical. I had the very unfortunate experience of hiring Byron to do a small landscaping project for the front yard in addition to lawn maintenance (laying grass seed, fertilizer, etc) and repairing a sprinkler system. During the initial meeting, Byron asked what our budget was and gave a handwritten estimate of services to be completed and a project date was scheduled. Byron arrived on time with his crew as scheduled and completed services agreed with one exception. He wasn't able to complete repairing the sprinkler system due to not having all the parts and stated he would return in a few days. I asked if he could add weekly lawn mowing as another service and to start during his second visit and a price was agreed upon. First red flag - Upon finishing for the day, Byron submitted a final bill for the work done and it was $300 more than what we initially agreed upon. When brought to his attention, he smirked and I showed him the handwritten estimate given days prior. Against my better judgement, I paid him in full (for the original amount agreed upon) expecting him to return to complete repairing the sprinkler system during his second visit. Second red flag - Byron had to be contacted as he was more than an hour late in arriving for the second scheduled appointment which was approximately a week after his initial visit. When called, he stated he was having lunch and arrived 30 minutes after. During this visit, Byron should have primarily finished repairing the sprinkler system and mow the front and back lawn. He did neither and still didn't have the parts to repair the sprinkler system. Byron said he could return later that day. Byron did not return and there was not a phone call to state why he didn't return or to re-schedule. This was a Friday before the Memorial Day weekend and I followed up on that Tuesday and an arrangement was made for the next day. Although an appearance was made as scheduled, Byron sent a couple of his workers and they were not skilled to complete the job and left. After 2 weeks from the initial project date, Byron was contacted once again as his workers were leaving with the job of repairing the sprinkler system still not complete. I asked when could he return (not his workers) and it was a challenge to schedule. At this juncture, I informed Byron that I no longer am in need of any of his services and just need him to complete the job paid for -repairing the sprinkler system. Byron did not come for what was now the third appointment set. In addition, a follow up call made after his second missed appointment was not returned.

    Manuel was very prompt when I contacted him through Angies' List. He came out that weekend and gave me an estimate on the spot for $1000. He said he was booked for 3-4 weeks out, so we made an appointment for then. I did not get a written quote. The day before our Saturday appointment 3 or 4 weeks later, I texted and called him to confirm that his team was still coming and get a time to expect them. He did not respond until Sunday (2 days later)- after we had been at the house just in case he came on Saturday. He texted and offered no reason for missing the appointment. Foolishly, I went ahead and re-scheduled with him for the following Saturday. I told him I needed a time window for his team to arrive and he said he'd be there between 12-2PM on Saturday. Once again, he didn't show up. I texted him the following day letting him know I was disappointed in his professionalism and that we wouldn't need his services. I got no response. I wasted two Saturdays and 6 weeks waiting for him to arrive for work that was never performed. I cannot speak to the quality of his work, but his promptness and professionalism are really poor.

    We recently moved to the Denver metro area into an older home whose landscaping needs a number of improvements. We are in the process of collecting estimates for a project in our back yard and contacted Henry from Natural Landscaping and Design. Henry came out to our house in the rain to listen to our ideas and to provide some guidance--and a cost estimate--on the proposed project. (We haven't yet hired a company to do the landscaping work which is why I said above that no money was paid.) In addition to the earth-moving part of the project, we also asked him to provide his opinion on whether we should repair or replace our non-working sprinkler system. Henry examined our system, made some adjustments (including re-wiring) and got the system to function correctly again. He recommended against replacing the system, although it is old, as he had it working and replacing it would be costly. It was clear that he had expertise in sprinkler systems--even one as old as ours - and spoke volumes of his great business ethics. He spent at least one hour of his time working on our sprinkler (at no charge!) before he had to take off for an appointment with another client. Whether he gets our landscaping job or not, Henry is one of the friendliest and most generous contractors we've run across. His behavior speaks well for the company and puts NLD at an advantage when it comes time for us to pick a contractor to do our landscaping work.

    I can't recommend Just Sod highly enough. Before I bought my house, the yard had been xeriscaped and then left unattended for years. As a result, it was an unmanageable jungle, with rotting structures and massive vegetation. After many conversations and help devising a plan for my yard, Just Sod cleared everything and installed a beautiful lawn. The crew arrived on time and worked like mad to get everything done in under two days. They provided more for my strict budget than I would've expected; they really went above and beyond to clean up the yard and provide a lawn my whole family can enjoy. Miguel put in extra time to troubleshoot problems with my sprinkler timer, and he even installed new wiring without charging extra. They will do what it takes to make sure you are equipped to care for your new lawn. Everyone on the team, from the crew to the office staff, is responsive and professional. Invariably, Jason and Lauren returned my calls and emails within a matter of hours and provided thorough, thoughtful assistance. I would hire Just Sod again in a heartbeat.

    Because this person was referred by a good friend, I was reluctant to review, but others should know. I waited a year to review also because he promised to reimburse me and has refused to reply to my texts and phone calls. The work was to start on Thursday, Feb. 9 2017. He and his father showed up 3 1/2 hours late that first day. I ignored this, did nothing. I had bought a large amount of food for their breakfast. Most contractors I've hired are like me, hard honest workers, so I always provide drinks and food. He then scheduled with me two days later on sat. February 11 and was a no show. He text me later, said he'd be at my house the following Monday 3:30-4:00, after his daily job. Again no show. Stupid that I continued to give him more chances. Anyhow he installed countertops, made cutting mistakes and had to glue a large piece together for the center Island. He also had to use 3 pieces of particle board for small under sink floor. He accidentally punched a hole through my garbage disposal line and used tape to attempt patching. I had To Hire Another Company To Put In A New Garbage Disposal And New Center Island. I Am At Fault For Not Standing Up And Insisting He Correct All Mistakes. He Did promise To Pay about 1/2 The Extra Cost incurred to fix his mistakes. I am older, single, retired and naive, easy target evidently. I do have before and after photos.

    They used to live in our old neighborhood. They did a really nice job and the service was great. The responsiveness was really good. The owner was actually the one answering my emails and he did a great job. I would definitely recommend them. It was pretty expensive, but we got to the point where we did not want dirt in our back yard anymore. It was a huge project, it was a blank slate in the backyard. It was a big project, but it turned out great.

    If I had an issue there was someone out here to fix it. I know that in the original estimate there was a tree that was supposed to be taken out when once the work was done and we are splitting time here in Texas. So, I would go and all this work was getting done when we weren?t here, and then came back and the tree was still there. I just called them and let them know, ?I know this was in the original estimate and someone needs to take this tree out?, which they did. That was a big project, a big cottonwood needed to come out.

    Dustin, the designer and estimator, was very thorough and polite when he came to do the estimate. He also was very responsive when we have questions and changes. Amber, the office manager, was efficient and very helpful. The crew was great. They showed up bright and early and worked hard. They did a great job and took care to clean up after themselves as well. Friendly also!
