    HealthFit Family Medicine
when Doctor Nelson arrived, 10 minutes late, He shook my hand (about 5 inches from my body) and said," What are you here for." I had, of course, told the nurse and her notes were on the computer screen in front of the doctor. I started to say I was having urinary symptoms when he started to read my concerns. He said, "I see you have nocturia, and weak stream anything else?" I said, "yes I have the symptoms listed for BPH. What are those other symptoms?" He said, " No, that's not how this works. You tell me what your symptoms are." I I said," Ok, I'll look them up on my phone." He then stood up and said, "I'll be back when you know what you're talking about." He then left the room. He returned about 7 minutes later and said, "are you ready to talk now?" A bizarre thing to say since I was talking when he left the room. I showed him the list of symptoms listed for BPH and said, " Listen, you must understand I'm very embarrassed and frightened to be here. I didn't want to forget anything because of that." Dr. Nelson was looking at the ground and repeating yeah, huh hu, yeah. I said, "oh wow, you're not listening to me." He said, "I don't think this is going to work out." I got my coat and walked out of the office with Dr. Nelson yelling as I left the office.

    Boekes, Dr. Chad E
He's a fantastic doctor who is willing to listen to your issues and questions, and does a great job communicating the situation and your treatment options. He's not always the most punctual (late afternoons are the worst), but it's because he's willing to spend time with his patients. He's well worth the wait though!

    Kasunic, Dr. Louis B.
It was completely awful. He started out by making a dumb blonde joke and couldn't stop laughing, then he rushed me through and rushed me out. I shook his hand and said to have a good day and he simply scowled and rolled his eyes. As a young adult simply trying to get used to 'adulting' he made me feel like an imbecile and like I wasn't the least bit important or worth his time.

    Castle Rock Family Physicians
There are a couple of things people should be aware of before going to this practice. The first is that they keep the exit door near the check-out desk locked from the outside, meaning you cannot leave unless the office staff behind the desk push a button unlocking the door. So they basically lock you in until you pay and reschedule. This is an obvious safety issue and I'm surprised their patients tolerate it. The second is that they are a Christian practice and apparently quite defensive about it. When I noticed the bible verse on the wall and another Christian wall hanging, I simply asked the check out staff if this was a faith based practice. I was told "I wouldn't say that, but the owner, Dr. Kasunic, is a very religious man." I said literally nothing else, did not indicate in any way I had a problem with this, I simply asked a question. Less than a week later, I received a letter from them stating "We understand you have a problem receiving medical care at a Christian facility" and stating they would no longer provide medical care for me. There are stories from other patients on review sites that have had similar experiences, with being denied care when they complained about anything or brought anything to the attention of the practice. I would not trust this practice with my own or my family's medical care.

    Three Oaks Family Medicine
They are closing their doors this month. I am almost due for my quarterly check up. I would use them again if they were open. The waiting room was excellent, it was always clean. I would tell people the doctors are good, but you need to monitor your prescription closely. They are not upto date with prescriptions being refilled.

They are not good. Every time I called they cut me off. I fell and I hurt my arm and they asked me, Why didn't you go to urgent? And I'm going, "Well, because you are my doctor." The nurses are nice but I've had three doctors in the last year because they can't keep anybody there. They have a very beautiful office environment. The staff were very nice.

    Xenos, Dr. John S.
I saw Dr Xenos for a torn meniscus. I give him my highest recommendation. He did arthroscopic surgery on a knee injury that had completely hobbled me. I was essentaily pain free within a two days after surgery. Now, about 6 months after surgery, I have no symptoms from my injury that I can discern. Dr Xenos is competent, professional and friendly. It was easy to communicate with him. He is humorous and I almost felt guilty in taking up as much of his time as he gave me during appointments. He has practiced medicine for 26 years, a long time for any profession, yet is clearly committed to his practice of medicine and his patients. He is a graduate of Georgetown University Medical School and I think he he served in the military as a combat surgeon deployed in the middle east. I confess, that his experience gave me confidence that my surgery would be routine, compared to what he has experienced in the breadth of his career.

    Kasunic, Dr. Louis B.
He ordered MRI of spine that my last doctor would not do. Issues were found. He was quick to refer out to specialists on matters he does not treat.I thought that was good but got feeling that referrals were to and quot;friendsand quot;. All referrals to spine surgeons resulted in recommendation to have surgery and fuse spine. Not what I would agree to as I did not feel issue was that severe yet.He did make a change to one Rx's that made positive results. [lowered my blood pressure]He also suggested an OTC supplement that appeared to help with cholesterol but was difficult to quantify with numbers.Be prepared for appointment. Know what you want to ask to accomplish your appointment objective. When appointment time is up, he generally made me feel pressured to leave. So have your questions ready at the start of the appointment. You may need to keep him focused on your objective(s).Overall, nice guy; but no one looks out for number one better than yourself.

    East-West Health Centers
A lot of doctors have changed within the couple years. I will give them a “C” as far as their health service is concerned. And because the doctors have left, I am considering going to another health care provider. They use to pick patients. If you were sick and go there the same day, sometimes it takes weeks for them to treat you even if you have a bad cold or a slight emergency situation. We started using Urgent Care rather than getting an appointment with East West. They are not good as they used to be. I don't really like the doctors there and they make me mad. They are kind of insulting. There a lot of doctors there and I did not have any particular doctor to see me so I think everything was confused. I just don't like them. I had a physical check up with them and I needed a prescription refilled. The doctor refilled two of them but told me to come back for another refill which I felt that it was a way for her to make more money. If you call them to ask about the bill, they will take forever to get back at you. It is just terrible. However, the staff is great.

    Pettet, Dr. James
Dr. Pettet basically destroyed my left foot. AHe performed a bunionectomy on my right foot that required 3 more office visits. I had to follow up when my second toe was sticking up so high I couldn't slide my foot in any of my shoes. It turns out, I had a permanent dislocation (bone on bone behind my second toe, and that toenail hasn't grown in 7-1/2 years), among other issues. He's a very nice guy, but I know other people, and doctors, who would never recommend him.
