Eye Care reviews in Castle Rock

From initial contact to post-procedure follow up, the staff and doctors at ICON were top notch. What impressed most (along with outstanding procedure outcome) was the speed and efficiency of office and procedure visits. Minimal time was involved being seen, after check in, but the appointments never felt rushed and all questions were answered with no sales pressure.

He seems to have state of the art equipment to get a full eye exam.  I felt it was very complete.  It was the most complete eye exam I ever had.  The staff was professional.  I did actually have a problem the first time with progressive lenses with the prescription being wrong but they were very apologetic and they did correct it. They did want to solve it and I opted to continue using them.

I wanted to try Europtics because my husband had gone there and kept raving about the glasses he got, "The best I've ever had!"  And I have to agree: the pair I bought there are the best I've ever had!  No more discount stores for me.  I receive compliments on the frames on a regular basis.  And I'm happy that I have some fun, purple frames that are light and strong, with lenses that are perfectly ground in the progressive tri-focal I need for my work (I'm a librarian and am far-sighted, which makes reading book spines and computer screens a challenge without good glasses.)
Even with the coupon, the glasses cost more than I'd ever paid for glasses before ($800+), but surely you've heard, "You get what you pay for."  Quality of vision is too important to me to make do with cheap glasses ever again.  When it's time for a new prescription or frame change, I'll be going back to Europtics, even without a coupon.
The location I visited has since left Park Meadows Mall; I'll have to hunt down their new south metro location.

When I called for an appointment, I was not able to get in for just over a week, which is not bad and I was not in any rush. The lady on the phone was very nice and scheduling the appointment was smooth and painless. When I showed up for my appointment, I had a very short wait time. I was pleasantly surprised since I was early. The lady who took me back and ran me through the tests was so kind and in such great mood. I wish I remembered her name. Once she was done, it was time for me to wait for the Dr. I saw Dr Liu. She was also very nice, however I was sitting in the exam room waiting for 30 min, maybe it would not have been as long if I wasn't early for my appt in the first place. But I was beginning to wonder if they forgot about me. But that would NOT keep me from going back. Dr Liu examined my eyes, went through my pictures with me and then gave me my prescription. Of course she also asked if I had any questions. I felt no pressure to purchase my eyeglasses there, however I do plan on going back to pick out a pair, I just didn't have enough time today.

he The front desk was instructed by Dr. Margolis to make a specialist appointment (as we stood at the desk) for treatment. The staff couldn't find the right clinic and offered to call us the next day with details. We never heard back. On a followup appointment for tests with Dr. Margolis, he again advised us to see the specialist. I mentioned that we never heard back from his office with any details the first time. This apparently did not bother the doctor (again, we were all standing at the front desk), and he simply issued the same instructions to his staff. Again, we never heard back with details of the specialist or an appointment date. Couple this overall sloppiness with the almost non-existent bedside manner of Dr. Margolis, and I can think of no reason to ever go there again.

I have been to this doctor several times and every time there were problems with diagnosis, billing, bedside manner.
    1. On my first visit I  was told I needed glasses and I was skeptical. Glasses came and I couldn't see at all. I had to take glasses off to see! I returned them and asked for a recheck. I was rechecked by another person and confirmed that I DID NOT need glasses. I returned them and they were going to credit my account. One month later I got a bill for the glasses that I already returned and no longer had. I had to call and write to get this corrected.
    2. My records have been switched with my husband's and that could be one reason why the eye exam and records were off. My husband was fitted with contacts and couldn't see out of them. He returned several times and they could not get it right so he had to go else where.
    3) Doctor's bedside manner is the worst ever. Besides being late, he is rude. On one occasion he was shining a bright light while looking in my eye and I was having a hard time keeping my eye open. He raised his voice, stuck his finger at my upper lid and said "this would all go a lot faster if you would just cooperate!"
I have zero confidence in the doctor, his assistants and his billing staff.

Dr. Hovland advised that he was contacting one of his techinicans to meet him at his office, and that we were to head there.   This was on a Saturday.  Surgery was scheduled for the next day, Sunday, at Porter Hospital.  I had a complete detachment of the retina and Dr. Hovland wasted no time....assembled a top-notch team for the surgery.  The final outcome is still to be determined, which should be sometime in November.   I have regular follow-up appointments to track the healing process, which included some laser treatment.  I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Hovland....his bedside manner is the best; his skill and knowledge incredible.  Sometimes the wait to see him for a follow-up appointment can be long, but that is only due to the time and care he spends with each of his patients.   Some who travel a long distance just to be treated by him!

This office is the best in Colorado! From beginning to end, they provide the best care anywhere. We have been seeing Dr. Brenner and staff for 10 years now, and would never go anywhere else. We feel like family...not customers. We get follow up calls without asking them. Always willing to help. We love them!

Wonderful experience. I hate getting eyes examined and super hate eye dilation. Thankfully they have new equipment which permits them to run a ton of tests and for a nominal fee you dont need to have eyes dilated with new technology. The doctor and staff took the time to examine my eyes, explain photos and results and helped me pick out the right glasses. Contact lens fitting went great. No pressure and I got to try several different kinds only to resort to my old brand which I love. They were very expedient with setting up the initial appointment and having my new glasses made.

We have been going to him for 10 years. He is amazing. He had good, personal service and a good bedside manner. They get you immediately when you have an emergency. They will do a payment plan and will work with you. They accept my insurance. Everyone there is really nice. They have an optical shop and the glasses are really well done. He is very hands on.
