    KC Cabinetry Design & Remodeling
Buyer beware! KC Cabinetry has a rating of F with the BBB, and that was before we filed our complaint. The owner of KC Cabinetry, Craig Cruz, is a crook, a liar and an apparent con artist. He took approx $17,000 of our money on what he said was a 3 month project to renovate most of our house, and after stringing us along with lies for 3 months, he still had no schedule, no work plan, no permits and had done little more than demo. The very small amount of work that he did do before abandoning the project, he did without getting an approved design or even a permit and much of the work had to be re-done by a replacement contractor. After making excuse after excuse to avoid doing the work, he ultimately took the position that he could not do any other work until we made another even larger payment -- even though he subsequently acknowledged, in writing, in at least two documents that he never provided the services we already paid for with our first payment. He then started behaving unprofessionally and made misogynist attacks, apparently hoping to get us to terminate like the first BBB complainant so that he could avoid doing any more work. When we instead attempted to work through things cooperatively since he already had our money, he ran out of lies and excuses not to do the work so he terminated the contract without cause and refused to return any portion of our money. And unfortunately that wasn't the end of the nightmare. After we told him that we would be suing him to get our money back, he further delayed our project with the false promise that he would do work to earn the money he kept, which turned out to be just another lie to string us along. In the end, Craig Cruz took approx. $17K of our money, abandoned our project, delayed our project over 5 months causing us to incur additional expenses and behaved in a way that was both personally threatening and misogynistic. Given his behavior on this project and on the other projects that are subject to BBB complaints, we have filed a scam report with the BBB and are in the process of filing a complaint with the Attorney General as well.

David was great to work with beginning with the estimate.  He showed up right on time and clearly told me about all of the materials I needed to get for the job.  The day of the job he was once again prompt and very personable.  David kept the work area very clean and organized and worked quickly and efficiently.  The work was done on time and in accordance with his quote.

I very much enjoyed David's professionalism and will surely use his services again in the future.  David is skilled in many areas and can proudly show you some pictures of his work on his mobile device.  I highly recommend him for any remodel or handyman services you might need and think you will be pleased with his work too.  Thank you David for putting in the wonderful backsplash... it has made the kitchen shine again!

They are excellent.  We had a total gut in our other house and they did that too.  The job they did was excellent.  We don’t find contractors that do that kind of stuff very often.  Their price was average.  We didn’t get any other bids because we liked the way they do their work.  The price was an object for us but we were willing to pay a little more to get the kind of service that we get from them.  So we don’t know what anybody else would have charged.  We will definitely use them again in the future.

Replaced several faucets, shower trim, towel bars, etc.    Greg would fix things as he found them and kept ahead of the total project.  Cheerful and pleasant.  Will use Greg again.

He is very efficient, so even though he charges by the hour, it is worth it. He seems to know how to do everything and I have used him for several projects. He custom built my shutters and painted them before putting them on the house. They are beautiful! He is wonderful and I would highly recommend him. He is honest and conscientious, and it is unbelievable how he doesn't try to overcharge you for picking up supplies or anything like that. He is an ethical business person.

The guy that owns that was not good.  He was not very informative and I ended up having to pay him a little bit to get out of having to use him.  He kept saying that things would be fine and he kept raising him price.  I had to pay him for the time that he spent talking to me, but he didn’t do any work.  He had the plumber come out and look, but the plumber didn’t realize the extent of what I needed done.  It was all just very bizarre.

    Timbers Edge Home Services
We met with BET and they immediately had some great ideas as to how we could remodel our bathroom. Their estimate was timely and very affordable. Because our existing floor tile was discontinued (and replacing the tile that we had installed a couple of years before would be too expensive), they designed a plan that would allow us to keep the same "footprint" of the bathroom while changing everything else. They demolished the entire bathroom and switched the location of the bathtub and shower. The shower that they built is amazing and their tile work both in the shower and bathrub surround is perfection - clean cuts, perfect lines. They installed a new custom-made glass block window, new cabinets, light fixtures, sinks, faucets, mirrors and they painted. I felt at ease with Eric and Terry (father-son owners of the company) and was very comfortable with them in the house - so much so that I often left. They were inobtusive, polite, friendly, super nice guys. Other than some of the plumbing and the slab countertops, they performed all of the work themselves. (We met with other companies and they all hired people to do the work while they acted as contractors.) They also gave me the option of purchasing the materials myself (cabinets, sinks, faucets, fixtures, but not building supplies) which allowed me to really search for the best price ( is a great source!) The other contractors I met with would provide the materials and they marked everything up. On the days the plumber and countertop installer were here, Eric and Terry were here too so I wasn't left to deal with strangers. We were so happy with their work we hired them for some other jobs as well. The best contractors we've ever had - I wouldn't call anyone else.

Fran is very exacting in his work. He cleans up every day when he leaves and doesn't leave your house a mess. He is great to work with. You can talk to him, make changes and do some of the work yourself. He does excellent work!
