    Centennial Custom Decks, Inc.
Replaced 800 square feet of deck with Tex Transcend composite decking, including stairs and custom iron railing. Caleb and Bruce performed the cconstruction of the deck. They did an excellent job. They worked through some of the coldest days of the year (January/February), and were very thorough and professional. They always kept the work area clean and organized. The railing was custom made by a local welder, and exceeded expectations. Greg's quote for the work was very competitive, and he did any additional work, that was not specified in the quote, at no additional charge. The deck is very nice.

Premier Custom Decks & Outdoor Living
Jim and his crew were outstanding. They demolished our old concrete patio and replaced it with a larger, beautiful, colored, concrete (stamped) patio and walkway. The finished product exceeded our expectations. They started and completed the project as promised and left no mess behind.

    System Pavers
Just recently completed a new System Pavers project on our lower deck and it looks amazing. Met with the designer Doug, who walked us through multiple options until we were satisfied with the best combination of stone. Doug then brought over samples of the various pavers and we placed them in the area and made sure this is what we wanted. The project was then handed over to Corey, Alfredo and their crew and before you knew it, we had a brand new lower deck. Corey even went to a special site to hand pick the slate for our steps. We're using this area for entertaining now; whereas, before it was forgotten space. Thanks to the entire System Pavers team for a great experience!

The projects were completed in a timely fashion and with the utmost quality. The thing I like about Brian and team is they have a high standard of quality and won't settle. A prime example of their workmanship was when an inspector came in and said, "every time I'm called for an inspection and I find it's Banell, it's always the same quality of work and they know what their doing." I've found this to be true for all 3 projects we've used them for. I contually have people making comments about our current backyard space and our basement and the level of craftsmanship. I won't hesitate to use them in the fure if needed! Keep up the good work.

Premier Custom Decks & Outdoor Living
We chose Premier after seeing their work at a neighbor's house. We had already talked to two other builders and were frustrated at the lack of involvement and interest. I think it took all of one day to schedule a meeting with Jim at our house to talk over the project. Jim was an excellent project manager from start to finish, which resulted in a great outdoor hangout area with materials and finish appropriate to the house. He provided good ideas to complement our own and we arrived at a clean final design. During the permitting application (which Jim handled entirely), we discovered that the elevated pergola as originally specified encroached on the setback. After a few revisions though, we came up with a great Plan B to incorporate shade trees into the overall design. Jim responds quickly and was easy to work with as we sorted out the details. Jim's crews are obviously skilled craftsmen (besides being courteous and friendly folks to have in the backyard) and the final product reflects their attention to detail and pride in the work. The end result consists of a stamped and colored concrete patio, adjoining maintenance-free deck, and smartly placed Austrian and Bosnian pines that combine to create a beautiful backyard. It all exceeds expectations, with many compliments from neighbors and visitors as evidence. I would highly recommend Jim and Premier for any outdoor living space, large or small.

Premier Custom Decks & Outdoor Living
We worked with Jim and Premier Custom Decks and Outdoor
Living this past year and were completely satisfied with the results.  Jim and his team exceeded our expectations on quality of custom design,  construction  and communication.  Jim kept us informed every step of the process and set realistic expectations regarding the construction schedule.  Jim's construction team was excellent, very respectful and pleasant to work with.  We really appreciated Jim's attention to detail and patience in guiding us through making decisions.  Our backyard is southwest facing and was brutal in the summer with the afternoon sun.  We now have a beautiful outdoor space that we can use year round.  We recommend Premier Custom Decks and Outdoor Living to anyone looking to transform their outdoor space by a team they can
trust to get the job done right.

    Castlewood Custom Landscape

When the job first started we were thrilled with the concept and overall design and couldn't wait to see it. When the concrete was poured it looked beautiful except it was the wrong color. we took out concern to CCLD and I was told that it needed to cure for 30 days and that the color would change and be what we ordered. 30 days later my brand new beautiful patio was still pink. I called again and voiced that the patio was not the right color, we ordered Sequoia Sand not Pink. Again I was told it was the right color and I was asked if I would like for them to bring the sample to show me it was the right color. I said yes. They brought the samples by and low and behold it was the wrong color. I again called to explain this and was told by my contactor that he spoke with the foreman on my job and that he assured him it looked great and that it was the right color. This went on for a couple of weeks before I finally got the contactor to come and look. At that time he couldn't deny, it was pink. This is when he decided to tell me that the foreman on the job was legally color blind. Seriously?!?!?! We wasted weeks because the contractor refused to listen to me, the client. He said that he would make it right and after looking into the matter found out that it was an issue with the supplier. After much discussion about what to do (everyone wanted us to just stain it or cover it up) it was decided that the patio would be ripped out and completed properly with the correct color.

Within 24 hours of the second pour the concrete was cracking. There are cracks from all the boulders, the drain spouts, in the middle of the concrete and stairs. When brought to our contractor we were told this is "normal". We expressed out concerns with the fact that they reused the materials from the first job such as the rebar that's supposed to reinforce the concrete and that the compaction wasn't completed properly the second time. We were told that reusing materials Is acceptable.

As the project slowing progressed we had more and more issues arise and we were asked for final payment for the job even though none of our issues had been resolved or addressed properly. We then took our concerns to the VP of the company. when we finally got him to the project he looked at it and said that he wouldn't put Castlewood's name on this and that it wasn't a quality job after all. He promised to make it right. Several weeks after meeting with us we still hadn't heard back from the VP. When I reached out to him finally he stated that it was indeed the job that we had contracted and that cracking was normal and asked for final payment. When asked what they were going to do address the cracking they sent someone out to fill them with and epoxy. In some places it's yellow, some it's silver and others it's white. The patio looks like a 2 year old went and colored everywhere.

Since this time we have had 5 other concrete companies come out to look at the job and give us their professional opinion on the job. Every one of them has stated that this was not a quality job by any standard. We have been informed that the load was too hot, the concrete was overworked, the soil compaction was not to standard, the rebar reinforcements around the boulders and fire pit were not done and if so, not correctly. The color is fading and we were told that the patio looks like it's 10 years old, not 3 months. Each has stated that this would not be acceptable for their company.

We have shared all this information with Castlewood and tried to give them every opportunity to make this right. We finally told them that they could make it right or we would file a complaint with the BBB and that we would take it to litigation. They decided to meet with us again to discuss options. We reached and agreement at that time. Haven't heard from them in the last 30 days. All emails are being ignored.

We paid over $20,000 so far and the quality and look of what we have looks like we tried to do it ourselves.

Archadeck did a great job.  It was a challenging job, as we have a second story covered deck.  Gary and his crews are very focused on attention to detail.  The results exceeded our expectations.  We are very impressed with their work and highly recommend them.
