    The very first day of work, damage began on my property and house. The WireNut rewired my entire ~2800 sq ft house. I had to be gone nearly every day before workers arrived and returned home after they had gone. The workers never told me where they would be working that day, so, even though I had many sheets folded, waiting to cover the areas, EVERY room (EVERY area that had a switch, outlet, light, or wiring behind walls, and EVERYTHING on surfaces or walls in those areas) of the house was covered with dirt and sheetrock dust. After three months, the total came to $44,000 that was PAID IN FULL as the work progressed! Periperal damage of my home and belongings was almost as bad as the cost. After about one month, the workers became so uncaring--bad attitudes and replacing wall outlets, switches, and wiring that had been inside the walls, with CONDUIT OUTSIDE the walls inside rooms like the master bedroom!--and just plain clumsy around my belongings that many things were destroyed or damaged, around my house and in my storage room--Christmas wreaths, flower arrangements, decorations crushed, my oven door broken off, two windows broken, my computer and keyboard dragged across carpet by cords and left, the ceiling stepped through twice, my daughter's mobile damaged and HIDDEN, light fixtures broken, and the list actually GOES ON! Along with all this, EVERY light fixture (on walls or ceilings, interior and exterior) were replaced with cheap fixtures that I never approved (except for one ceiling fan) nor LIKED! After so much damage and uncaring behavior to my belongings and house, I had to call the company supervisor to please come check on the work (the damage). I was very emotional and asked for him to not let them know I had called, that I didn't want to hurt anyone's job. I guess he came. I never heard from him after that. All I can say is, the workers knew and treated me very coldly, and in one man's case, very hatefully. I reluctantly had to call WireNut back to replace a switch (of only two existing switches on each end) of a 20' X 25' foot room was removed and not replaced and to remove the wires protruding from a bathroom ceiling fixture over my shower. They came out but refused to do the work. I firmly but politely told them that they must as they removed it. They replaced the switch but left the exposed wires, and left a terrible mess and a conduit outlet on the opposite wall that seems to have been stepped on and loosened. Plus, I received a bill for over $400 for this. I called and told them politely that it was from the estimate and not new work and that after $44,000 PAID already, they should never ask me to pay for this anyway. I received a nasty phone call when I didn't pay it, and it was paid eventually, because I FEARED that some worker would come with a key and do something to us in some way. I never called the BBB because of fear. I also had a near-death health scare during the end of the job, and I'm a single mother, so right after, I was too concerned with this issue and too relieved to have them out of my house to do anything. It's taken me two years to get the courage to complain, and I'm happy to find Angie's List!

    Overall the work was done satisfactorily (the dryer works now).  The electrician arrived about 20 minutes late and worked 2 hours.  When I received the bill it was not itemized.  When I asked for an itemized bill, it showed I was being charged for 3 hours of labor.  When I spoke to the company owner about the extra hour billed, I was informed there was a "trip charge" of one hour's labor.  When I initially contacted the company, I let them know where I lived.  Had I known in advance I would incur such a charge just to drive to my home, I would not have hired this company (I never hire companies who charge me just to drive to my house).
