  • I understand that all the barbers at this shop are independent contractors, and I'm sure that other customers have had good experiences at Aguilar, but that was a quick and dirty haircut if I ever had one. The low price is of no importance to me. I had to go to another barber to fix it.

I'll cut my own hair before I go back to Aguilar.

  • This was NOT a "food bank give away".  This was advertised as a discounted purchase of groceries.  I wrote a post afterwards on the facebook page of COMPASSION FOOD BANK of FREMONT COUNTY; I received comments & many private messages, relating to bad experiences.  Those who did post thier bad experience openly were, as one woman stated, "attacked".  Pamela posted snide & defensive rebuttals.  (Glass half empty,be a blessing, at the end of the day...)   My post mysteriously disappeared ~ "accidentally deleted" according to Pamela.  Now, only "approved" messages are allowed.  Naturally, the ones being approved are all "good reviews", applauding Pamela.  Pamela herself is posting "kudos" to herself.  As I told her, I appreciate her efforts, & I believe her heart was in the right place.  I was not angry.  I was giving an honest review of my experience.   I am always trying to stretch our budget.  I yard sale, & shop discount, as I did for this event.  I PURCHASED this food.  Below is a synopsis of my review on my experience, since it was "accidentally deleted".   I do have pictures, as well, of all items.  Those will be posted on another forum.  "Just the facts";

I was at the pickup point, Vineyard Church, early ~
by 10:30 a.m.  Event was to start at 11 a.m...  There were already a line of
cars.   That was expanded to 6 lines of
cars, for people showing up after the others first in line. I waited
over 2 hours & our line moved.  Then
a volunteer jumped in & started moving the last incoming cars to the front
of the line.  He was completely unaware
of how the vehicles were lined up in a “first come” order.  Very disorganized.
It was so hot, & volunteers were walking around with ice cold bottles
of water, some with 2 or 3 under their arm.
None was offered to the people waiting; not even to the children or elderly.  Shameful.
I got to the head of the line after 3 hours of waiting.  A volunteer was actually SNIFFING the meat as
he was putting it in my cooler.  (This
particular volunteer was wearing a camo bandana & glasses). I asked him WHY
he was sniffing the meat & he said (and this is a DIRECT QUOTE) ~ “If you
don’t like it, don’t eat it”.  Is that
the COMPASSION people are treated with??? Sure enough, all the meat was expired
& after being sniffed, I’m certain they aren’t fit to eat. “It is often fresh fruits & veggies - a
lot is organic - breads, tortillas, dairy products”  I got a huge bunch of rotten bananas ~ they
are actually exploding ~ & strawberries with mold on them.  It took me 7 minutes to get home, so the
excuse I’ve read about leaving it in the car in no way applies to me.  I received no other fruits or veggies &
definitely not fresh.  Organic?  Nothing I received was organic.  Dairy products?  I received none.  Tortillas ~ yes, with MOLD on them.  I was told I’d receive a $100 worth of food
for $20.  This is certainly untrue.  Thankfully I can take the $20 I spent off of

  • I think they handle claims quickly and having a local office is great (which the big ins chains don't have). I can stop in our call anytime and always get an answer to my questions or just say hi - I think they are the best when it comes to service.

  • The owner, Dave, did the work for me and he was a joy to work with.  He listened to what I wanted him to do and made a few suggestions and completed the work just as he promised.  I would recommend this company to anyone and if I have any more computer items needed dealt with, this is where I am going to go.  His wife handled a few of my phone calls and she was very helpful and courteous.  Great place to do business.

  • The entire experience was excellent from start to finish. The appetizers were excellent and fresh. The dinner was home made and there was plenty of food on the plate. The entire dinner including the drinks was very reasonably priced at $25.00 per person. In addition, the staff offered us the opportunity to take home additional turkey, dressing and gravy for a sandwich later in the day for an additional $3.50. What a thoughtful idea. The whole experience was wonderful from start to finish. I highly recommend this experience to anyone interested in a special meal served by very special people in a beautifully restored Victorian home.
