AHome Sweet Home LandscapingHome Sweet Homes is always a pleasure to work with. Their team of landscapers goes above and beyond to ensure that landscaping is one of the best features of a home. Would 100% use them again for landscaping needs in the future. Very responsive, understanding, and hardworking.- Kody B.

ARothgery and Sons LLCThey are just the best to deal with. We just loved working with them. The only people we would ever go to now.- Stephen D.

ARothgery and Sons LLCDave and his team were awesome! They were very knowledgeable about many things including natural boulder placement, grading and irrigation. I also appreciated their sensitivity to the existing landscape and how clean they kept the worksite. All three on the crew were sweet to our dog and our son and felt like part of the family by the time the job was complete. We are incredibly happy with their work and we plan on hiring Rothgery & Sons next summer for another project. Highly recommend!- Amanda T.

AHood LandscapingTo whom it may concern, Hood Landscaping just finished the 2nd part of a large landscaping project for us. Part 1 was completed in May of 2014. They were selected over several other contractors based on their thoughtful design in solving some drainage issues and the quality materials they proposed. They weren’t the lowest bidder. We were so pleased with the outcome, there was no question as to who would be used to complete part 2. Part 2 is now finished and the results are spectacular! An enormous Siloam staircase and flower planters now grace the side of our home heading up the hillside. Drivers stop on the street to see it. Our neighbors have complimented us on how beautiful it is and how well it blends with our existing boulder retaining wall planters. It enhances what was already there. The design now looks “complete”. One of the things that we find most impressive about Ed & Molly’s company is the character of their employees. On project #1, Ryan led a team of dedicated individuals installing a huge paver pad patio integrated with an underground drainage system. They also built a smaller Siloam staircase to our upper yard. Project #2 was led by Zach with an equally skilled and caring team. Zach was quick to suggest worthwhile modifications and incorporate our ideas as the project progressed. Once you see things “coming out of the ground”, you see ways to improve the end result. Zach has a keen eye for this and adjusts the final product to come up with the best result possible. In both projects, Hood employees were courteous and respectful. They show up on time. They do more than is expected and clean up the work site each day. This reflects well on the overall management of the company as a business that is built for the long term. They aren’t a few guys and a truck with a backhoe. This is a Summit County contractor that will do what they promise and stand behind their work. A small problem appeared this winter with our paver pad constructed in 2014. Ed had his guys address the issue while they were here for part #2. Again this speaks to “building a business” and not just a short term outlook. We can’t speak highly enough of Hood Landscaping and the team that Ed & Molly have assembled. They are the only landscape company we would consider for whatever our future needs may be. Chris & Shari Dorton Wildernest- Christopher D.

ANeils Lunceford IncIt went great, they were very professional and responsive to some concerns we had about the project. Tim Glasco was our contact person and he is a true professional.- Ed E.
-
ANeils Lunceford IncPerfectly! We have used Neils Lunceford for several projects since building our home in 2010. Tim Glasco is superb with design and recommendations and they are always prompt and efficient at site clean-up. Don Clark and his maintenance team take care of yearly jobs without any involvement from us! Even the office staff is great at individual plants, billing questions or fertilization issues and we always recommend Neils Lunceford to friends.- Robert F.

ANeils Lunceford IncNot a big job, but on time, quality work, professional in handling job. Two women showed up and completed job on time, cleaned up after themselves. Also provided a quote for a capital landscape improvement, but was late in coming.- Duane A.

AMr. Moots pointed out several issues with the tree that needed addressed. He was very knowledgeable of tree diseases and how to treat them. He trimmed the tree, treated it with systemic pesticide and gave it mineral treatments, via the soil to help it. It is a large, shade tree that we and all the birds love. He and his crew did an excellent job, showed up on time, and cleaned up the work site. He is a licensed arborist with the National Arborist Foundation, which to me is very important

FI received a phone call from a TruGreen technician within seconds of hitting the send button to Angies List. I had to keep asking the technician to repeat what he said since he did not speak into the phone or clearly. I kept asked for pricing on lawn aeration, I did not have a chance to give him the size of my lawn; he kept pushing for other services, after asking a few times for pricing on aeration only; he then quoted me $398! I don't what kind of fees you charge but this is gouging, when I pushed back he then said $203, so all of sudden it's half the price. I kept attempting to give the lawn footage but he kept interrupting and talking over me, given I have a large lot and I do not need my full lot aerated. I asked if he would be willing come and view the area - he was rude in his response and said that "this is not how we do business" Well, this is not how I do business either, why would I hire your company for any services after being spoken to so rudely. I used TruGreen last year, at first I was very pleased, but as the season continued I had to call and frequently request lawn fertilizing. I was told you did not have time, and then promised service would occur the following week, which also did not happen and no one would come, or I was given less than 12 hours notice, waiting the next morning for the technician and still no one showed up, also another time the technician began fertilizing my neighbors yard, lucky for them. I am just glad I did not sign up for any contracts and canceled all future lawn applications at the end of summer 2019.

AIt went as well as we could have expected. Jared and Chris came every day and worked this job until complete. Our wall will now provide a level surface for our concrete deck behind our garage. Beyond the wall there is a slope of about 35 degrees, and our wall will reduce the erosion a great deal. Payne Landscape did a great job.

AGrant and his team did a great job. Reece and Justin were the two who did the actual install/repair/re-installation of the flooring with Grant's oversight. Grant was punctual with his timing on his estimate and the actual cost was what was agreed upon for the job. Reece and Justin did a terrific job with the actual installation and went above and beyond in many facets to make sure that the work was satisfactory based on our desires. There were a few unexpected challenges during the job and rather than take the easy way out and just try to "make it work" they took the time to do it right the first time. Justin and Reece's craftsmanship was top notch with regard to the installation of the laminate floor with good attention to detail so that the seams looked appropriate and the lines were straight. Overall we are very pleased with the work and would recommend Good Hands to all of our friends and neighbors.

CThe first day: I was happy to have the help but I thought it went very slow. They pulled weeds between my lavender plants and laid weed cloth between the rows. Three people took eight hours. I thought it was excessive. The second day: Pulled out our heirloom trumpet vine. Didn't pull the elm tree stump. These things were clearly stated. Both days he said he'd bring two people, brought three each time. I"m not one to haggle. I am a trusting individual. I joined this site because I didn't want to be taken advantage of. This is a pay site and it has been my hope that the people represented on this list represent quality contractors. I trust feedback. I feel duped. I find $30.00 an hour for unskilled labour is a bit over the top. I understand it's hard work. I do it as well, but when I'm paying that much money to someone I expect they do what's asked. This is a case of not getting what you paid for.

ARuppel's Plumbing & Heating came out in a pretty timely manner, they routered it, got it working really quick, and didn't overcharge. Then when we had trouble because they forgot to put the lid back on our outside access they sent somebody else out who hadn't come out the first time and for whatever reason it didn't fit right so they fixed it right then and there and didn't charge us for fixing it even though I don't think we were the ones that messed with it. They could have said we can't fit the lid back on so we'll have to charge you for that but they didn't.
