Plumber reviews in Bayfield

Dry Creek Electric is family owned and operated. No one in this organization will "pass the buck" or "blame" another person. They do the work and appreciate the consumer. Probably most significant to me is the fact that everyone in this organization is someone you would invite into your home with confidence and a sense of security. Nothing is taken for granted when you are working with this family. Ask for assistance and you will be heard!

I call them at 8:26 and left a message on a forwarded number. I had a return call within 10 mins. They confirmed the issue and said he would send out some one. They arrived on sit with in 30 mins of the call back. I showed him the issue and he got right to work. We had hot water within 15 mins and have had no problems so far. I would call them again and would suggest they be on the top of anyone's call list.

The project was a major remodel of the kitchen, dining area, two baths and the exterior. It included new cabinets, moving walls, plumbing, major electrical changes and new flooring. The schedule was three month. When completed the remodel met all expectations. Most of the remodel was done by a true craftsman named Dontje. Dontje does great work and make sure each tile and cabinet fits perfectly. So the final product is truly beautiful. The remodel actually took 4 months , two weeks were lost when Dontje was out of town. Cost came in 9% over budget, mostly because of additions we made. We waited to file this to see how the changes would do over the winter. Only one problem occurred, water dripping from a cantilevered bath. Mike was there within an hour and the plumber within two hours.

My call was returned the following morning. Showed up on time and finished quickly. Talked frankly about issues, recommendations, and how long I could wait before needing the next pump out service based on what was observed in this service call. Friendly but very professional.

Called and spoke with a real person. She said they could get out the same day. Michael (Master Plumber) arrived on time, gave
estimate, performed the work and left in a timely manner. Would highly recommend

We had been having trouble with our domestic hot water being very inconsistant and not really holding temperature from our Viking boiler combination domestic hot water/hydronic heating system. I had already rebuilt the Taco mixing/tempering valve and was still having the problem. I called John (owner of Bailey Plumbing) and described the problem and he described a couple of possible scenarios and came equipped to handle them. When he got here and looked at the set up and we reviewed the symptoms he started to isolate the cause by measuring the temp. coming out of the nearest hot water outlet and adjusting the mixing/tempering valve to check its functionality, among a couple of other things. With all this he changed his initial over-the-phone diagnosis (a bad mixing cartridge at one of the shower valves) and zeroed in on the system mixing/tempering valve that I had already "repaired". Turns out that the spring in this valve must have failed which is the one part that wasn't included in the rebuild kit I had gotten. At this point, with the mixing/tempering valve not performing it's function, he recommended that this was what needed to be fixed first and then go from there if the problem wasn't solved. This is where I was rather pleasantly surprised. He said that he could do that for me if that's what I wanted but, since I was a DIYer and had already been working on the system and it was a fairly easy job, I might want to save myself the money and do it myself; then call him and let him know how it turned out. If we still had problems he could come out again and install a couple of valves to isolate the mixing valve (which should have been there when the system was installed in the first place) and adjust the hot and cold flow to the mixing/tempering valve. Well, fortunately one of the local plumbing supply stores had the upgraded Taco valve in stock, I picked it up that day and swapped it out the next day. The most time consuming part was waiting for the tank to drain down low enough to do this (since those valves had never been installed on the hot and cold supply lines to isolate the mixing valve). Long story slightly longer - the problem is fixed and whenever I need a plumber/HVAC guy I'm calling Bailey's. They are honest and more concerned with fixing the problem than jacking up the bill and not interested in trying to talk over you with some BS and do work that is totally unnecessary (has that happened to you? It has to me).

The last trip was just for a fall checkup on the furnace. They were on time, actually early, did a good job and even showed me what I could do to keep parts of the furnace running better without calling them out..

They were awful. All of the guys who do the work were very nice men. The first couple of times they came they did a poor job with the trenching. The water was not draining into the area where the sump pump was. They installed the sump pump in a five gallon plastic bucket. The floater kept catching on the side of the bucket. I realized it kept running and wouldn't shut off. They had to come out three times to do the trenching and to reinstall a different kind of pump. They put it into a metal bucket but they didn't draw any holes to let the water drain out. It kept running again and the bucket was floating in the hole they dug. I sent emails and called the company. They sent people out a few times but my husband and I had to end up fixing it.

I called Superior on Wednesday or Thursday, October 5th or 6th.  Charlotte answered the phone.  I told her we were interested in having our septic tank pumped out.  Since the weather was supposed to be good the following week, I suggested next week.  Charlotte proposed Tuesday, October 11 at 1:00 pm.  I agreed. Charlotte was very friendly and we had a brief, pleasant conversation before terminating our phone call.  On Tuesday, October 11th, Randy arrived promptly at 1:00 pm. He backed his truck down our driveway and immediately proceeded with pumping out our septic.  While he was working, he was very friendly and we had several conversations.  He offered helpful tips about septic tank maintenance and suggested we put new covers on the tanks to make it easier to access the tanks.  He provided us with the names of a couple of companies who provide covers and our selection will depend on the type of cover we go with.  Randy was finished in about an hour.  He picked up his hoses, wrote up the receipt, and left.

Ball Septic was recommended by friends and neighbors as the septic company to use for this area. We decided to have our septic tank cleaned out. Called Ball on 9/30/2011 around 9 am. Got a recording saying to leave a message. Left my name, number, and that we were interested in having our septic cleaned out in October. On Monday 10/3/2011 around 3 pm, I had not received a return call. So, I called Ball again and left the same information I left on Friday. I also indicated that I had called and had not received a return call. Today is Wednesday, October 5, 2011. Still no return call from Ball. I called another septic company, was able to talk to someone and schedule an appointment for septic clean out next week.

I guess Ball Septic must be so busy they don't need my business.
