    System Pavers
$20K Project, but we felt like $5K Customers We chose System Pavers for the quality of the product and quality of the installation - Both were outstanding, although we had to request portions be re-done as they were not done correctly the first time. Each time we made a request for correction, the project manager agreed and had the correction done without hesitation - Having a project manager, we feel these mistakes should have been caught and corrected without us asking to do so. The sales team is the reason for the 2 star review. Our sales team member quoted multiple things that were not done and our overall price never changed. The sales team member incorrectly measured the grade which required an additional step that we were forced to pay for. See below for the details on the issues we encountered. We went to the show room for our scheduled appointment to select colors/stone options only to find that the sales team member would not be able to make it as he was out on another sales call instead. Our sales team member provided no information to the other sales member who tried to help us make selections. We needed help color matching a patio that was already installed along with making sure our selections would be compatible with the stone work on the exterior of our home. We were incredibly uncomfortable making a selection without the sales team member who understood our vision. We were told that we could either make our selection that day, or make another appointment some other day - The show room is only open M-F and we already took time off work for our scheduled appointment. We had a scheduled visit where both the sales team member and the project manager would be present to ensure our design/quote could be completed for the quoted price. We understood that this was necessary so the sales team member could explain his rendering and what we were quoted for so the project manager could successfully execute the design. Once again, our sales team member was unable to make the scheduled time and the project manager was unsure on some aspects of the design. We walked him through all the items we were quoted for and he assured us that it was going to look great. We were given a quote that included some features that we ended up having to fight for, and inevitably pay for at an additional cost to our original quote. We had to pay for a third step because the sales team member didn't properly measure the grade - We were told that the grade would be taken care of by building up the back of the fire pit patio, but the project manager instantly realized that it could not be done that way for safety. This could have been completely avoided if a project manager were sent out immediately after a quote was given, not during day 2 of the work several weeks later, or if the sales team member were present during the earlier appointment he missed! We also were quoted for the completion of a retaining wall and the cost for those materials. Not only were the materials not ordered, but the project manager stated they could not complete another contractors work. We argued that the completed retaining wall was part of our quote and was shown on the rendering completed by the sales team. This was product/work that were included on our quote, but we were assured we weren't being charged despite the fact that our quote price never decreased. We also discussed and were assured that the area between the previously installed grass and completed patios would be finished. When we discussed this with the project manager, he explained that they do not do landscaping - Again, this was in our quote and shown on our rendering, yet the work was not done and our price remained unchanged. Lastly, we were quoted for a cover on the propane tank that doubles as an end-table. Again, this item was supposedly not in our quote and we were asked to pay for it. Ultimately, they ordered the cover and told us we would not have to pay for it, but we have yet to receive it and the work was completed over a month ago...

Our project turned out absolutely beautiful! Kyle took our ideas and put together a layout and a plan to make it a reality. Troy our Project Manager stayed in close contact providing progress reports and made sure all my questions/thoughts were addressed. The System Pavers crew knocked the project out in 3.5 days!! Incredible! These guys worked so hard and are perfectionists. We are extremely happy with our extended patio and fire-pit. System Pavers - A good choice, Definitely!

    Olde English Masonry
I own a Victorian home from 1883 and needed to rebrick the front of the house. The stucco was cracking and brick dust was leaking out. We took off a couple of test pieces and understood that it all had to be replaced. There are two Brick walls, the interior load bearing, and the exterior brick wall. the exterior wall had buckled, and was about 8 inches out. the entire front brick exterior wall had to be replaced. Gary was always prompt and on time. Great on communications. His quote was spot on. I received 2 other quotes, and conducted reference checks with Gary's past customers. Gary is does all of Boulder's historic buildings and I can see why. the final cost was spot on his estimate. Gary worked with a couple of delays from my end. Part of the project was rebuilding a porch wall. the pillars that where resting on the wall (and holding up the porch roof) and to be removed and stripped. that was the cause of the delay and he adapted to the changes. It was really more of a collaboration project for the both of us. The quality of the work is amazing. we get compliments from our neighbors on the front of the house. We place on replacing the exterior brick wall on the back of the house and will use Gary. Further, I am the Executive Director of a historic Veteran's non profit and we just bought a historic building. I will be using Gary on that restoration as well.

    All About Awesome Construction Inc
From the first phone conversation, I felt a certain level of trust with Ben (Owner). I had hired another general contractor who had backed out on me and I needed someone fast. Ben was able to get me a quote quickly and within my budget and within 2 weeks had crews on site. Before any work started he held a mini pre construction meeting with me to ensure everyone was on the same page. The entire project went great. They replaced the old brick mold trim with new 2x6 cedar wood to give in a more updated look, and approx 200 lf of siding that had failed and routed due to weather and aging. They also replaced all the pickets on 2 sides of my fence, and built me a new double gate, installed a new front door and new storm door. He also hire a subcontractor to replace my concrete driveway , walkway and porch. All material that was used was top of the line. No warped boards, no cheap, thin pickets. The thing that impressed the the most was the schedule and communication. Once the job started his crew was onsite until it was finished. And anytime I had questions or concerns, the crew was eager to answer my questions and keep me abreast of the progress. Ben was also very involved in the project and available to discuss any issues and always answered his phone or returned a text. The crew on site was easy to communicate with and understand and there was no language barrier.I would recommend Ben and his crews for any project you might have, and plan on using him in the future for a bathroom tiling project and a basement finishing job.

    Daniels Landscape and Design LLC
Daniel promptly answers his phone, is flexible in scheduling time, arrived promptly to provide the estimate, and quickly sent me the estimate so that I had it in hand within 2 days.  His prices are reasonable and his references check out.  Since the work I had him price is for new buyer of my home, I did not use his service.  But I will definitely use his service if needed at my new home.  I am loyal to those who provide great service.

    Sutter Design Group/Terrascapes
As customers, we have some specific expectations from the companies whose services we consider investing in; we expect honesty, professionalism, reasonable pricing and a commitment to respecting the value of our time above, or equal to, their own.  Terrascapes met and exceeded all of these expectations in designing and constructing an attractive retaining wall on our property. Heather Sutter prepared a design, explained the materials and labor costs in detail, and then honored that contract amount in spite of
the fact that unexpected difficulties in the site preparation took her crew several days longer than anticipated to complete the project. Strangers still stop and ask us for information about our landscaper because of the quality of this stonework. Terrascapes obviously values its customers above all else, and that philosophy shows in the excellence of their workmanship.
