They are wonderful. They are a web-based service that looks for a place for parents to reside depending on their abilities like nursing home, assisted living, or even home care. They research a place for your parents to live and they will do all the necessary arrangements and will make an appointment for you. Then you can go check the place and then if you decided to go with it, they take care of everything for you.

    Wonderfully.
Still feeling gratitude for my therapeutic massage/energy session with Naomi of Soul's Bliss. Naomi has a very intuitive way of working, yet always solicits client feedback to help focus and hone her attentions.
My body felt (still feels!) so grateful for the skilled and loving support Naomi offered through her hands, breath and presence. A number of times, I went into an altered (altared!) state and received information/messages that had probably been dying for me
to pay attention for quite some time -- a sure sign that my body and body were both being given deep and inductive permission to really relax and let go. I'd never been worked on in a massage chair before -- it was nothing like I'd imagined. Totally natural and supportive.
I highly recommend Naomi and her work. I know there are a lot of skilled massage therapists "out there" ... She's one to put on your list of those few with that conscious presence and energetic conductivity that really sets them apart.

Ruth was surly and uncommunicative most of the time she was at my dad's house as his "caretaker" She did the minimum she could get away with...feeding him breakfast in the morning and then retreating to her bedroom the rest of the day and then feeding him a simple dinner at night. She helped him get dressed in the morning and get his pj's on at night. My dad passed away on September 28th 2013 and as his executor, I started reviewing his accounts and was shocked at what I found. . I visited my dad every other week and called him every day ( I live 5 hours away) and he seemed to be doing okay mentally but it turns out Ruth was taking thousands of dollars out of his account on a regular basis by purchasing visa gift cards when she went to the store with his debit card to buy groceries. In the last week he was fighting for his life in the hospital she spent nearly a thousand dollars at TJ Maxx and Ross and shipped all her stolen goods home to Kenya where I presume she is now, waiting to pounce on the next elderly victim. I have filed charges with law enforcement, who are conducting an active investigation, as well as with INS and with IRS. I am heartsick that I did not do a background check on her and want to make sure that she doesn't victimize anyone else. Please call me at 303 434 3603 if Ruth W. Muchoki responds to a Craigslist ad as that is how she and her sisters evidently find employment around the country. During the last four months she worked for my dad she was being paid by the Department of Labor because my dad qualified for the uranium compensation act and she left me her pay stub for the month of August as my dad had mentioned before he died that we wanted me to consider giving her severance of around $2000. The note she left with the pay stub said she wanted me to "honor" my father's wishes and send the amount listed on the pay stub as her severance to her sister's house in Carbondale, Colorado (this after I'd texted her to say that the bank had found evidence of fraud and that I would be contacting the authorities). It turns out that the Dept. of Labor was paying her $13,041.39 a month because she claimed she cared for my dad 24/7!!! I called the DOL to protest..

I very much appreciate Home Instead. My grandfather fell and was very weak after breaking his hip. He very much wanted to go home, so we needed to find a service to help. After much searching, I interviewed Home Instead, Visiting Angels, and three others (can't remember the names). I told my dad and aunt and grandmother that I was comfortable with either Home Instead or Visiting Angels after talking with all the options. My grandmother heard good things about Home Instead, so she decided to hire them.
Everyone has been very helpful. When I called and was searching for assistance, they did a great job answering all my questions. The staff is very well trained. Many places don't provide additional training, or even any standard initial training, when hiring someone. They do. They know how to handle elderly people who move slowly, need assistance, and maybe don't understand everything that is being said to them. My grandparents just gush over how much they appreciate having the Home Instead people come. Grandma is amazed at how fast they can get Grandpa out of bed, to the bathroom, cleaned up, and out to his chair in the living room. They do 2 hours minimum, so then they also help with dishes or cleaning up or cooking. Grandma loves it when the women come, because they don't ask what needs to be done elsewhere in the house, they just see the dirt and start cleaning. The men she thinks are very nice and helpful, but they just don't have the same eye for what needs to be cleaned as the women do (and what can I say, neither does my husband or my father). She highly recommends them to anyone who asks.
