    Artland Construction & Remodeling
Owner Art Unland is a very nice man and a good contractor, polite and cordial. So is his assistant Cameron. This was a large project that took a few months to complete. There were a few hiccups but things with Art went fairly smoothly. His company workers were polite and efficient. The painting sub-contractor did good work and again the crew was well mannered and respectful of my mother and her property. The only thing I would warn anyone about is his cabinet subcontractor D&G Cabinets. One of the reasons that kept me from giving Artland Construction an A rating, were these guys. They measured many parts of the kitchen incorrectly resulting in delays of several weeks in the projects. The quality of their work is mediocre at best. The co-owner and installer Josh is a nightmare to deal with; rude and always in a rush. My mother wanted him to repair some problems with the cabinet installation. All he did was argue with her about how she was wrong and that's not the way they do things now. He never finished the job to our satisfaction and really couldn't care less. We now have to hire another cabinet contractor to come in at our cost to finish the work properly. Which is fine, since wed never let D&G into my Mothers home again anyway. Please ask Art to find you what I'm sure will be a much better cabinet sub-contractor. The only other negative is that we found his billing format to be a bit confusing. We shared this with him and he was very receptive.

    PaintRite Pros
AWESOME. That is the one word I would use to describe Paintrite Pros.
They did a fantastic job painting the exterior of our house. They
transformed our tired, ugly exterior into something beautiful and envied
by the neighbors! They were very busy when I contacted them for an
estimate and we were on a tight schedule to get our house painted. So
Lowis (the office manager) scheduled Chris (the owner) to come out
within a couple of days to look at our house and give us a bid. We knew
we had repair work that was necessary prior to any painting that could
be done. So Chris sent out Bryan (his repair expert) to see what repairs
would be required. A lot of the siding was damaged and in need of
repair. He spent over an hour going over the options and explaining what
needed to be done and why. We got three different estimates and chose
Paintrite Pros. Price is important but it is not the only reason we
chose this company. We appreciated their thoroughness, their
professionalism, their follow through, their expertise, and more
importantly, how they treated us, and that was before they even started
the work. I didn't feel like just another customer. I felt like part of a
family that I was so fortunate to be a part of. Chris has surrounded
himself with a perfect blend of employees. They say a company is only as
strong as its weakest link, but Paintrite Pros has no weak link. I
would recommend Paintrite Pros for all your painting needs.

    PaintRite Pros
I don't even know where to begin ! This was by far one of the most positive experiences I have ever had with any type of home improvement . To the sweetest lady - Lowis , at the front office to the painting team and owner , I say God Bless You ! Lowis acted more like a close friend and support throughout the variety of simulataneous Home projects I had going . When the owner Chris Gardner showed up , it was obvious he was a Christian man and a professional . Then came the actual painting team ! Wow ! They were polite , prompt , punctual and conscientious of each step and how it was completed . They came and went in a few days from washing down the house to helping decide the final color scheme and then left as if no one had been there . They left me with a house that looked like something transformed on an HGTV show ! Countless neighbor's have stopped by to ask who did the work on my house. I would like to thank each person from the bottom of my heart for all they did for me ! They each went above and beyond my expectations. I was made to feel like family : )

    A Better Choice Painting
Painted exterior of house, scraped popcorn ceiling, removed wallpaper from 1 wall, textures and painted two |Bedrooms.  They were great the house looks brand new.

    Update 5/6/2014
Two weeks after the original job was complete we notified them that there was an issue with the exterior paint on the hose with the paint cracking. They said they would come do needed touch ups the week after Christmas 2014. We purchased the extra paint and waited... But they didn't come and didn't perform the warranty work. In April we ended up hiring another painter to repaint two of our exterior walls. When I contacted them to ask them to pay for a portion of the painter I had hired they did say they were still willing to come do the touch up, but it was too late we had already given them a A long time to perform and had lost confidence that they would really come do the work - and we had already hired another painter.

    RUSSELL & BOALS PAINTING

We first used Russel and Boals about 3 years ago to paint 3 rooms in our last house. They did such a good job that when we moved to Yuba City last April we had them paint our new house as well. They are very quick and do an excellent job - no drips and full coverage on the walls. I've always considered myself a pretty good painter, but I can't get close to the accuracy and tightness of the lines between the wall and ceiling like they can. We will definitely use them in the future.

Crew arrived on site on agreed day. Got job done in 3 1/2 days. Work is perfect. I haven't seen as much as a drop of paint out of place. Looks great. Site cleaned up every day. Highly recommended.

He is very good, and highly recommended.
He was very good at giving advise on what we could do ourselves, and what he could do, and how he could do it..
Actually he is probably reasonably priced, but it is just too big of a job, and we can't afford to pay for the whole thing.
Very nice guy, and I wish we could have him do it.

    North State Drywall Inc
I spent about $150 or $200 on that work. He did not have to paint the drywall for me, but he did and that was nice. I would tell a family member or neighbor to try North State Drywall Inc. if they were looking for someone to do a similar job. He had to drive 40 miles to do the work and did not charge me for that and he did the work when he said he was going to do it. I would definitely use him again in the future.
