    Peninsula Appliance Repair
    Absolute nightmare. I have a double oven that started having problems in October. The upper oven stopped working, so Peninsula Appliance Repair was sent by my warranty company. They came out several times to attempt to repair it. Nothing worked. On the final appointment, whatever the technician did actually BROKE the other oven. I called Peninsula Appliance Repair to get the repair records so that I could pass them on to the new technician (the new repair company asked me what was done to the oven since there was nothing indicated in the records he got from the warranty company). PAR told me they don't release repair records to customers and that the records had already been given to the warranty company. I called the warranty company and they said what PAR told me is a complete lie. All I'm asking for is the repair records for MY OWN OVEN. I am fairly confident that Peninsula Appliance Repair won't release them because they broke my oven and do not want to be held liable.

    Showed up in the scheduled time, was pleasant and professional. Spent the time with me to go through the symptoms. I had thought it was the pump, based on my research, but in his experience it was all attributable to the input valve. He replaced the valve efficiently, did a quick but thorough testing, including for the check valve and heating (which was working fine), and gave me some tips on care and what to expect. The dishwasher seems to be working well now, though we'll know for sure after a few uses. I was a little surprised by having both a service call charge and a labor charge, however I didn't ask in advance, and the overall price was acceptable. I would use them again.

    He charged per hour. It ended up being a fairly long time at the full price rate. It was around $500. It was a lot.  He was friendly and professional. He was available. He got it to fit. The end result is, that it was in. However, it didn’t fit the first time he tried widening the space. So I think a little measure twice, cut once. He ended up having to shave 1/4 to ½ inch off the sides of the frame. When we bought the microwave, we had measured ourselves and it was a little too large for the space. He had to widen the space a little bit. Which was tricky, but it did take him a couple of tries and he ended up just jamming it in there. So, he got it working, and it looks fine. He was cash only, and at the price that it was, it was a little tricky getting cash at that size.  It did end up being a lot (price) to install a microwave. If we had known how much it would be in total, we might have not kept the microwave, we would have gotten something smaller. I don’t know if I would use him again. I might give someone else a chance.

    They tried to repair it but it was very old. They needed parts that arent available, it was really rotted. I was happy with them. They were prompt, professional, nice and polite.

    I got the major things I was concerned with taken care of which was the bathroom thing and the disposal which I was concerned wasn't working or what the deal was. 

    The price was reasonable. Do I think it was cheap, no. Do I think it was fair and reasonable, yes.

    Sears Appliance Repair
    This experience was a disaster. Sears does not employ repair people. They contract this out. They cancelled our first appointment because they said that they needed to order a part for us (this was before their first visit). It was rescheduled for 8 days later. Repairman came with no part for us. He had to call for help and went off to purchase a part. He replaced the part and was planning to leave but we wanted to test the machine. Problem was not fixed. They had to order another part and would not schedule a repair appointment until we received the part. This had been going on for over 3 weeks and we couldn't use the machine. We cancelled the part and requested a refund for all but the service charge amount. It took many calls but we got a refund and bought a new machine--not from Sears! I will never use them again.

    Repairman was excellent. He arrived ontime, quickly identified the issue, had the replacement part in his truck, looked up our refrigerator and found that the repair would be covered under warranty. Could not ask for better service. I will definitely buy GE again.

    Went great. The repair person showed up exactly on time, quickly pulled out the receptacle and got what was remaining of the bulb out. It took all of 5 minutes and then he cleaned out the lint out of the refrigerator. And, to boot he looked at a little problem I'm having with my stove too range and he said he would check the price of the part needed and get back tome next week. He was incredibly helpful and very  pleasant.

    It took a while to get an appointment, hence the responsiveness being Fair, but once the service man arrived he was very prompt and efficient.  I had another a/c person look at my unit and said it would be a $1500 job to replace the compressor.  The guy from Marcucci found that it was only a bad capacitor and fixed it within an hour.  He had the part on his truck, replaced it, replaced the filters, checked that the output was cold, and was very courteous the whole time.  I highly recommend them, but call ahead because it might be a week or two before they can come out.

    Mr Nelson arrived at our daughter's home at the time specified.  He diagnosed the issues with both the oven and refrigerator and gave us the cost to replace the faulty parts.  He was very nice and professional and answered all our questions.  He then left to get the parts needed, with the plan to return later in the afternoon to complete the work.  He did return but was unable to procure one of the parts until the following morning.  Mr. Nelson returned the following noon, repaired both appliances, gave us some helpful instructions and advice and was on his way.
    We felt that Best One Home Appliance was a gem in the cost paid, the service provided, the attention paid to us.  We would highly recommend this company to anyone needing appliance repairs.  For sure we would call them again, if needed.

    Acclaim Appliance and Home Repair Service
    Acclaim services Miele!  Its is a one man show (Ken),  but I had the most pleasant experience ever with appliance repair. 
    I called Miele when my dishwasher stopped completing cycles, and heating water... (I'd had a random appliance repairman come previously and been unable to fix it.). Miele referred me to Acclaim and Ken, who clearly has a lot of Miele experience. He came the next day, listened to the cycle for a bit, and then whipped out a computer. 
    Ken read off the error codes, and made some needed software changes to adjust water levels and what have you, as well as adjust my drainage to solve a related plumbing problem. Genius! He knew just what to do, was super polite, totally honest,  and the machine has run like new since he left... charge was modest for the expertise he brought to the table, $190. 
    Ken clearly has a gift for the work he does. I'd trust him to work on anything!
