    Styles In Tile
I DO NOT recommend Jaime oLinn or Style in Tile for these reasons: 1. When tiling a wet area like a tub/shower they do not use the proper waterproof paper for the job. They use exterior stucco paper/lathe instead of waterproof paper made for tiling. I found this out because I hired Style in Tile to tile my tub surround in my hall bathroom. They started the job and got to the point where they installed the waterproof paper, lathe, and started applying the cement but at that point I got into a disagreement with one of the tile worker. I asked him to cover up my bathrooms wall cabinet with plastic or paper so it wouldnt get any cement on it. The worker said no he wouldnt do it because he wasnt working in that area. Also this same worker had used subpar wood to build up my wall in order to install the lathe paper. He dismantled the large box that my tile supplier shipped my tiles in. this wood is very weak. Its one step up from cardboard and made just for shipping items, not for a construction project. You cannot buy this kind of wood at home depot. Its like .75 inch thick plywood with airgaps between the layers of wood. It is not solid wood. This worker was too lazy to go to the home depot and get proper wood for the job. So I wasnt happy with the quality of work and attitude of this installer so i contacted Jaime about these issues and told him I wanted a different crew for my job. He said ok but that I would need to pay for the 1 day of work his crew did and that it would take a few weeks before his other crew could start working on my job. I waited the few weeks and contacted Jaime to see when his other crew would continue my job. He said there was delays at the other job which meant a few more weeks delays for my job. At this point I couldnt wait any longer and contacted other tile companies to get quotes and complete my bathroom. When the other tile companies came and saw the type of lathe paper used on my bathroom, they explained to me that this is the wrong type for the job and that if they simply tiled over jaimes shoddy work that they couldnt give a warranty on the work. They recommended that I remove everything that Jaimes installers did and install the correct waterproof paper and lathe. This new tile company thought I hired some unlicensed handyman to install my tile because they said no licensed tile installer would ever use exterior stucco paper/lathe to tile a bathroom. I decided to follow the new tile contractors advice because I didnt want to have issues down the road. So basically I paid Jaime to install incorrect paper/lathe and paid the new contractor to remove it and install the correct paper/lathe. I told Jaime what the new contactor told me but he doesnt believe it, so Im sure he is still installing incorrect waterproofing materials to this day. I think he does it this way to save time and money because you install exterior stucco paper/lathe in one step, whereas the proper materials requires two steps, 1) install waterproof paper 2) install metal lathe. 2. Prior to the job described above I had Jaime tile my master bathroom. Jaime did complete that job for me but it took days longer than what he originally estimated and he got very irritated about and gave me a bad, unprofessional attitude about it. He complained that I was costing him money. I should have taken this as a bad sign and not hired him for my master bathroom project a couple years later but I gave him the benefit of the doubt and gave him another shot. I regret ever hiring him in the first place because now I have a master bathroom that has incorrect waterproof paper installed under my marble tile and the only way to correct it is to demolish it and re-do it. Its like a ticking time bomb in the back of my mind. I hope it doesnt develop a leak and cause a mold problem inside my walls.

it was my best experience ever. Started with the replacement of my room dry wall which they fixed before the given time. Had so many issues with it even after other people fixed it, after YN Construction fixed it it has never ever given me issues again. From then on I've been using g Y.N construction for all my remodeling and fixing purposes. They are professional and will get the job done in the given time. Pearl Remodeling
My husband and I recently purchased our first home and couldnt be more excited. The house was built in the 1960s so you can imagine how dated it was. The kitchen had to absolutely be remodeled prior to move-in, so we wanted to act fast to get the entire job done ASAP. Therefore we chose the kitchen contractor team at Pearl Remodeling. We knew Gal previously because he had done my sisters entire home (gutted the WHOLE thing) and the make-over was completely stunning. We had Gal come over for an initial consultation on our project and he already had so many great ideas and recommendations. He helped us expand our space from a galley kitchen to a more modern open look. I had a vision for the kitchen and Gal worked with me ensuring I was satisfied. Gal is not only warm and friendly, but he works tirelessly to make sure every fine detail is addressed and on time! If I had any questions regarding our remodel (again this was our first project) he was patient and answered every question thoroughly. We also had a tight budget and he worked closely with us to ensure we were in range and always kept us informed of what was happening. We felt so confident with Gal and his team for handling the kitchen remodel that my husband and I left for Italy for 3 weeks. We returned to a brand new kitchen and we couldnt be more thrilled. Gal gives you nothing but quality! Thank you so much Gal, the WHOLE crew and team at Pearl Remodeling and Jalen; the work was so beautifully and tastefully done we cant believe its actually ours!

We met up with Tom and Aaron to go over remodeling our kitchen. Initial impressions are very positive. Right off the bat, we could tell Tom knows what he is talking about. Prior to meeting PHB, we met with multiple contractors who identified a wall we wanted to remove as being load bearing. Tom immediately challenged that call and correctly called the wall out as being a partition. He proved it by getting up in the attic and recorded videos showing the orientation of the ceiling joists he was right. Tom is very detailed oriented taking note of existing wiring, existing framing, and adjacent room dimensions. 1 hour into our meeting and we havent even discussed the proposed layout. Tom places a lot of emphasis into developing a solid game plan so when it comes time to execute the plan, there arent as many issues. Working in civil infrastructure construction, I cant agree more. The next 2 hours of our meeting was going into what we had envisioned for the kitchen. Understanding that this is his bread and butter, we went into this meeting providing 50% input and expected him to collaborate and provide 50% back. He went a little further and helped us refine our initial idea into our dream kitchen. Tom is an honest man, painted a picture of what to expect, and has our vote of confidence thus far. We look forward to our next meeting with him to discuss final plans and specifications. Review to be updated as we progress through the procurement phase of our project.

    Grand Cabinets
The Grand Cabinets crew and project manager were expert and detailed from the beginning, with Zohar (the owner and project manager) involved in each stage of the remodeling for our new kitchen and complete replacement of all the floors around the house. They all were very professional to design and show us a draft of how the entire remodeling project will look like and how it merge with the rest of the house. The office spoke with us each day about the progress and if any issue came up and how they will solve it. The estimate was at the price range that we set and the quality with was beyond our expectations. Zohar made sure to stay on the schedule even with all the issues that came up during the work and unexpected changes due to some water damage. We love the new kitchen very much. Its still hard to believe the big change our house got, but the functionality of it is perfect, and the beauty and quality is the best we could get. We definitely recommend Grand Cabinets! They are worth to hire.

    SES Builders inc
I am writing this review to thank all the people at SES and to let all of them know and understand how I am very happy and please with everything. My project manager who was the main person that in charge on my remodeling project was a great communicator, listener and with unbelievable overall view of where and what the people need to do and finish. His skills and professionalism proved the great relationships with everyone that ended in delivering a quality product. The workers were wonderful and worked full days that made sure to finish the work through several problems in order to get the remodeling job finish on time. They also made sure to clean up each day before they left for the day and they were very careful to seal the working space from the rest of the house. I feel very fortunate to hire SES Builders as part of my house.

    GoodFellas Construction
We don't usually write bad reviews. This would be the first... But we are just very upset with this company at this moment. Please note that this review is written two years AFTER the project. We hope that this review will help others. This was our first remodeling project that we have ever done in our house and in our life in general. We knew we were overpaying by hiring a company, but we hoped that we are safer with a larger company. Now we are not sure it was a good choice. We had no issues with the people who were working in our house. They did well. We had and continue to have (two years later after the job was "completed") a lot of issues with the company and management. Be careful when hiring them. If you are like us, and you do not know much about construction or permits, I would advise against hiring GoodFellas. We had issues with the following: 1) The work was completed one month after the promised date. Granted, the work was extended - we added the floors to the three rooms upstairs. Initially, I asked for an estimate for the floors and said that I wanted to do them later. But I gave in to a strong push from the project manager to do it right away. So I gave in. They still promised that they would finish by the original date in August 2016 because I reiterated many times how important it its to us that the job is finished on time, but they finished it in September 2016, one month later. The installation of the floors could not be the reason for it as it went very fast. They took about 3 days for the floor installation. 2) I feel that one of the problems with the work was that they did not work every day. There were gaps of 2-4 days between the jobs. When I brought it up at the final inspection, they said that we were not given adequate attention because the project manager was handling two projects at the same time, one in Los Angeles and one in Orange County. One of them was ours. The projects were very far distance-wise, and he could not give enough attention to our home. We felt it was a very weak excuse. After all, they signed up for the job, and there was an end date to the job, which was not met. 3) During the final inspection, the project manager was not there. I think he was out of town. Someone else came and after I complained about the duration of the project, they said that they would give us the warranty of 3 years compared to the usual 1 year. The warranty was another reason why we hired this company. I asked for some paper that would state it, and the response was that we would be in their database so it is not a problem. (Did I mention this was our first remodel?) Read on. 4) A month ago, which would be almost two years after the project was completed, we received a letter from the city that our permits were expiring. We called and were told that the permits have never been finalized. So the inspectors would come and tell the contractors what they needed to fix, and I guess after that, they did not call for a final inspection. We paid $1400 for the permits. So as it turns out, the permits have never been finalized. We called GoodFellas, and they informed us that they are now a different company (with the same website, phone number, and the picture of the project manager who did the job in our house.. ), and we are not in their database. However, they asked us to e-mail them a list with the corrections issued by the inspectors. We did that, and we never got the response. So... no trace of our three-year warranty and we cannot finalize the permits because the contractors need to be in the house when the inspectors come. Because the company says that they don't know us anymore (though they wanted an e-mail with the list of corrections), they are saying that they cant help us. *I think I wrote previous reviews for the contractor/company because we were promised a discount if we did that. I did it in the very beginning of the job, and I regret it. Needless to say, our next remodel will be very different.
