    The Cleaning Connection
I took the dress over to them. The cost was $20. I thought that it was going to $16 but it ended up being $20. I think they didn't realize when they priced it over the phone how elaborate this dress is. That is my guess because I asked over the phone. They clean beautifully. The only thing is the price; there was kind of that mix up about the price. Everything else was an A.

    ANDREAS'S JEWELRY
Everything Andreas does is wonderful. His custom work is immaculate and he carefully explains everything he's doing and made sure it was exactly what we wanted. His work was done on time as promised. Andreas is friendly and always available when needed. He is a joy to work with and we consider him our 'family jeweler'!

    CHICO EXPRESS CLEANERS
This dry cleaning service was fairly priced and quick. (For an extra amount, they put a rush on the service to have it ready by next day at noon.) They were thoroughly professional and courteous.

    Debbie Knezic
Debbie Knezic is a very professional seamstress! She responds to my telephone calls promptly, listens well to my needs, gives reliable/accurate estimates, performs the work in a very reasonable amount of time and delivers the articles of clothing in excellent condition! I have used Debbie's services for several years, on countless articles of clothing. Her work is extremely professional and long-lasting. In one case, she told me that she wouldn't make the alterations, explained that it would not and quot;finish welland quot; and stood firm. She was correct ~ and I respect her professionalism in refusing a task that she couldn't complete to her standard. My most recent experience was hemming a brand new pair of work-slacks. She did the job in less than 3 days, on time, on schedule, and the work is flawless! I HIGHLY recommend Debbie Knezic for any job large or small! Her work is first rate and her eye is excellent!

    3rd Generation Cleaners
Non toxic, environmentally friendly cleaners.  I would give them 5 stars, except that their prices were a bit high -- I ended up paying about $60 per pair of drapes, because of the "per pleat" price.  They steam pressed the pleats on my first pair of drapes, which I found to be too stiff -- vertical lines like an accordion on my drapes, so then I ran them through the dryer and pressed them myself to get the pleats out.  Next round, I asked to skip the steam pressing of the pleats, but to fan fold them (think toy fan that kids make out of paper).  They steam pressed them flat, but forgot to fan fold them, so the second round hung a bit awkwardly.  Third round they got right -- clean, odor free, with just enough fan folding to hang well.  They charged me $48 for the third round, which I think is appropriate, given that I didn't get the steam pressing of the pleats.  I think the second round should have been less as well for the same reason, but they charged me as much as for the first round.  If you have special instructions, make sure they right it down on the ticket, and I suggest you check it in the store and send it back if it's not done right.  Also, ask them to charge less if you decide not to get steam pressed pleats on your drapes (which I recommend), and maybe they will, as they did with my third pair.  Go to yelp.com to see some really good reviews from other customers as well.

    Sew What
Gladys at Sew What is a character. She gets a lot of repeat business. I've had several things along the same lines done by her. She is good. She is long experienced. She knows what she's doing. She's worked for companies in the Bay Area as an alterationist. If she doesn't like other people's work she fixes it. So she repairs repairs! She sticks to her schedule. She calls you back in two or three days when it is done. She doesn't accept more work than she can handle. She has a great personality. We've been using her for years and years. She is a very reliable person and she does good work. I've not had a bad experience with her. She has always done what I asked her to do and she does it well.

    Jacque Gubbles Iron Work
We liked everything about him and his price was also reasonable. We did go to his shop to look at some of his other works and thought he is a real artist in wrought iron.

    MARYANN'S ALTERATIONS
Her shop is small, but she's great. She's a nice lady and I think she told me once she has been sewing for over 50 years! The prices are super reasonable. My overall experiences have been great.

    AA Alterations
Beware of this place! The quoted price for the job was not honored. When I went to pick my item up, they charged me almost double of what they said it would cost. These ladies did not say the work would start at a certain price and go up if they encountered problems. They said it would cost $ xx period--a fixed price for the job. Two of the workers quoted that price to me and the person with me. That was four people who heard the price multiple times during this conversation. When I went to pick up the item, they said they would not have told me that for the item I had. They also told me that what they did was hard. I was an idiot for paying them. I should have let them keep the item and walked out. Then I could have went to the store and bought a whole new item for the price they charged me. I returned to their establishment later that day with the person who was with me for the initial price quote. Neither of us felt it was right for them to quote one price and then charge another or you don't get your item back. The ladies disagreed and refused to give me back the difference between what I was told it would cost and what I was charged. She also told me that she felt sorry for me that I was so upset about this situation. Be careful! These ladies do not uphold honest business practices! Will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau as well.
