  • Extremely well. The company has good communication connectivity so making an appointment was easy. I was traveling into town to be there. They had a sample report to look at which helped align expectations. Mike showed up a little early, as did we. He let me follow him around and he pointed things out as he went. The final report, with pictures was delivered that night. We felt like we got our money's worth at $650. No surprises, executed with quality as planned.

  • They were super professional. The inspection, work appointments and clean up all were on schedule. The only delay in finishing was due to the City inspector being a day late because of July 4 holiday, not Alpha's fault. The final inspector was really impressed with the work. They cleaned up very well, and even put concrete into the stucco gap after jacking the wall up, which was not on the original work bid. The two workers, Juan and Vicente, did a pretty amazing job, given how hot it was those days and the very tight quarters they had to work in.

  • On the day of the inspection the inspector, Stephen Ramirez:
    -Arrived early and proceeded with the inspection
    -Inspected the property for at least 3 hours during which he wrote notes and took pictures
    -Basically went through every room corner, under the house, on the roof, the fire place, closets, garage, etc.
    -He listened and answered my questions (and my husband's questions) patiently and thoroughly
    -Did a walk through to point out possible red flags (as per my request) and even showed us relevant pictures
    -Just prior to his departure, Stephen let us know when to expect the report, shook our hand, and thanked us.

  • I spoke with Mark who was a completely professional.  He assessed the property and stated that I did not have any structural foundation issues as I had been nervously considering for at least 2 months.  But not only that - he furthermore gave me advice on other issues that I might want to look into - none of which would have economically benefitted him, so I was much thankful to get advice coming from this man who is in the industry and had nothing to gain.  He furthermore wrote me an email to his evaluation and suggestions.  Very thourough, very helpful and I would use them in a sec if I needed them for any work to be done.  Without question.

  • This is the second time we've used Mike (A THOROUGH GUY HOME INSPECTIONS).  The first time was a couple years ago to inspect our home.  We were interested to have an opinion of what a home inspector might submit if we were to place the house for sale.  Mike submitted a very thorough report, and from this we made corrections that will provide a more positive experience for those interested. 

    The second inspection is for a house we currently have in escrow.  Mike's report as expected is very thorough including as before - ovesrview, pictures showing questionable issues, specific item comments, recommendations, and an index.  The report submitted the day of inspection.  In turn we now have a greater level of comfort.  Now that we are forewaned I am contacting appropriate contractors for corrections, alternatives if appropriate, and costs. 

    Bottom line, I'm pleased to recommend Mike for any home inspection.  Even if the results of the report aren't as you might hope for, you will at least have solid information from which to make sound decisions.

  • I've used Larry three times now, and he's a gem.  He's extremely forthright and wants his clients to be satisfied.  More importantly?  The man is anal.  Seriously.  He looks for everything, and this is exactly what you want in a home inspector.  Larry takes his time during the inspection, but he jumps right in and gets started.  He photographs everything, and his report is exceedingly detailed.  After he's done going over the property, he sits down with you and discusses his findings and answers questions you may have about the inspection-- instead of just making you wait until the report is emailed (which is usually within 24 hours).  
    Larry is amazing.  He's courteous, and his prices are right in line with other home inspectors.  I won't use anyone else when I'm looking to buy property.

  • The inspector was prompt, polite and very detailed. He spent a considerable amount of time inspecting our home. He was very thorough in his explanations and made sure we understood the process.
    Our home hasn't been treated since 1995 and he expected (based on the number of years since) to find quite a bit of termite dammage. Especially since we had noticed it ourselves. But as it turns out, the place we noticed it and a couple others were all that were affected.  He explained that tenting would not be required - we could go with a lesser treatment option.  Our confidence in this company was very much affected by the fact that they didn't try to give us the run around to charge us more.
    We were very happy with this estimate and will be using their services in the near future.

  • Setup through my agent who showed up before me and did the inspection.  Dan gave the walk-through and was very friendly and thorough.  There wasn't much wrong with the property so most of the time was spent with him explaining how to fix a minor issue with the plumbing.

  • I called Frank based on finding him listed on Angie's list.  We were able to quickly schedule the appointment for the survey. 

    The inspection went great. Frank arrived half an hour and asked if it was OK to start early.  He was very thorough in his survey of my home.  His report included photographs of all the areas where he inspected and took samples, as well as drawings of sample locations, samples taken and their lab results, as well as status and recommendations for existing asbestos.

  • THE INSPECTOR MEET US AT THE PROPERTY AND WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND COURTEOUS. HE TOOK ME THROUGHOUT THE PROPERTY AND POINTED OUT ALL THE PROBLEMS. HE ALSO SHOWED ME THAT SOME OF THE PROBLEMS THAT WERE EASY AND THAT I COULD DO IT MYSELF. HE ALSO POINTED OUT SOME REALLY BAD PROBLEMS AND MENTIONED THAT THE SELLER SHOULD FIX THESE BEFORE WE CLOSE ESCROW.
