  • SES builders remodeled my kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms at my house. The work took appx 3 months from the initial meeting that we had with Gil all the way to the last inspection that he did. During the work, Gil worked hand by hand with us explaining and recommend us about the things and materials that were the best fit for us. More than that he also went with us to some of his vendors and helped us selecting and buying the finished materials. We are very happy with the overall work that he did and with the extra work that he did for us during the work. We already recommended him to few of our friends that saw the work and asked us about our experience with him.

  • I want to thank Eli and his team for the awesome remodeling job that they did at my house recently. I decided to hire them among several other companies due to the fact that they were able to give me the best design and execution for my dream remodeling project. The work went smoothly and without any problem. Everything went according to the plan and there were no delays in the work. Eli managed all the workers and he made sure that no mistakes will be made. On top of that, he made sure to inform me on each step of the work and making sure that i am happy and satisfied with the entire work. I highly recommend them to anyone that is interesting in any type of remodeling work for their house.

  • My Husband and I just completed the remodeling of our kitchen, bathroom and the dining area and it was remodeled by Venetian Builders. Before we hired Venetian Builders for this large scale remodeling project, we were overcome with all the required decisions we had to take concerning the new design of the kitchen and we needed to make sure that the new look and functionality of it will make the most logic for us regarding the style and budget. We did our research for the right contractor for about 3 months more or less and it only when we met and talked to Jonathan, we felt assured that everything will be carefully implemented in our new project in which it was completely priced well and competitive. In the kitchen area: we removed 2 walls in which we planned to do so the space will get a much bigger open space, relocated the double sink, refrigerator & dishwasher, added a new garden window above the new sink location, enlarged the kitchen overall space and take down all the popcorn ceiling. The new dining area space is now a much larger space that allows us to host 10 people around the new dining table in which was significant to us. New wood floor, 8” new stained crown molding, LED recessed light with Wi-Fi home automated switches, large sconces and new paint color for the entire walls and ceiling which made the space very pleasant to use when we have dinners, cooking or even just to look at. In the bathroom remodeling we kept most of the same layout but we demolished it to the studs and rebuild it completely while allowing Jonathan’s to provide us with several options regarding the colors and materials. The whole remodeling project was finished in about 6.5 weeks from the starting date. Everyone who was working at the house, worked very hard and we could see changes on a daily basis. They were very good, clean and came to work on time on a daily basis. If we had any comment of question, Jonathan was there for us always even if it was during the weekend. More than that, he visited the house on regular bases. The foremen was on top of everything at any time. We want to thank Jonathan and everyone who was involved at this project for designing, managing executing this amazing project for us and for realizing the design goal.

  • We are very happy with the outcome of our project and would highly recommend Steve and his team to others. Steve and his team were great to work with because: 1) he did not nickel and dime me or present endless change orders as some contractors do - despite the fact that we made multiple changes and adjustments to job; 2) whenever there was an issue or unexpected problem he took care of it; 3) Steve is good on his word - if he says it or promises it he does it; 4) our happiness and satisfaction were extremely important to him and during every visit he would always ask how we felt things were going. Remodels are never easy and things do go wrong, but throughout the job I always felt comforted in knowing that Steve had our back and made sure things got done. He was always available by phone and text even on off hours and weekends. Without hesitation, I would encourage anyone considering a general contractor to give Steve a call. If we ever need to remodel again, he will be the only person I call.

  • I picked the Hills General Contracting because I instantly felt comfortable with Jim when he came over to give me the quote for adding a shower to the bathtub area. (Plus he told me he could get it done before Christmas - 2 weeks away)  He was very personable, listened to what I wanted, made suggestions and made me feel like my voice counted.  Other contractors I talked to tried to tell me what I wanted and wouldn't listen when I told them what I wanted.
Marco Sr. and Marco Jr. did excellent work in my bathroom.  Each day they arrived promptly and were very respectful and courteous through out the whole process. (there was a bit of miscommunication in the beginning but was straightened out the next day).  At the end of the work day the Marcos would clean up the area(they even swept part of my front room) and store supplies in the tub or on my porch off to the side so it wasn't in the way of the door.  They even painted 2 extra walls where no work was done so the paint on that side of the bathroom would all match.
I was in contact with Jim on a daily basis and he let me know exactly what was to be accomplished each day. If I had a question or problem and contacted him he would get back to me within a few minutes with an answer or an agreeable fix to the problem. I was quoted a week and if the patch work would have been dried enough it would have only taken 4 days.
I am very happy with the end result and would recommend the Hills General Contracting to my friends and family.

  • They did a poor job replacing the glass on my sliding door. The new glass cracked after a day or two due to the subpar workmanship. I called Juan, the owner of Sunset Glass, he said not to worry he will send someone to replace the glass shortly.  Later after several calls to find out when his employee was coming to repair the bad work, I finally reached Juan, he said he was on another call and will call back in five minutes....that was over three weeks ago and still no call back.  Now I have a cracked glass on my sliding glass door and lost $400.  I definitely would NOT recommend Sunset Glass Co.

  • My son bought a two story condo in Whittier. It was built in the mid 80s. While it was in pretty good shape, it really needed some upgrading and updating. I used Angie's LIst and narrowed my choice of contractors to two. I met each of them at the condo. I liked both of them, but decided on DC Keeton Home Improvements. The two estimates were very close in cost and the contractors presented themselves in a knowledgeable and professional manner. David, the owner of DC Keeton Home Improvements has an engaging personality and a good sense of humor. That gave him the edge. Work began sometime in October or November. We were not in a great hurry as my son lived in my home at the time. We really wanted to make sure that everything was completely ready before he moved in. All of the work was very well done: painting, new floors and baseboards, chandelier and ceiling fan installation. The kitchen cabinets are now a beautiful charcoal gray, not cherry red wood and they look stunning. The garage is bright and clean with white paint and a gorgeous black/white/gray epoxy floor. There are a couple of things that stand out for me. One evening my son noticed water dripping from the garage ceiling. We tried to figure out where it was coming from and couldn't. I called David and he came over on a Friday evening, around 9:30. He quickly determined that it was the second bathroom upstairs. He fixed it immediately and after a few days of drying, the painters reprimed and repainted the water stains in the garage. We really appreciated that he came over so late to tend to the issue. David also suggested a couple of retailers to me. He told me that they were not cheap, but the service and the product and selection would be very good. I decided to buy from the retailers and David was a hundred percent right. Excellent service and a great selection of appliances and plumbing fixtures. In fact, the washing machine I bought was a couple of inches too big. I called the appliance dealer and he found a replacement that turned out to cost a bit less than the one I had chosen. Hurray!! David's employees were at all times, polite and courteous. If David told me they would be at the condo, they were. By the same token, if an emergency arose at another job site and they were unable to be there, he would call and advise me of the situation. When we decided at the last moment to swap out the vessel sink in the master bathroom for an undermount sink, I asked David for an estimate. He provided the estimate and then suggested I meet him at a place in the San Fernando Valley that carries stone slab remnants from other jobs. We didn't need much for the one bathroom and his suggestion helped us save some money. David and his crew do excellent work, David is responsive to calls and texts and he was a pleasure to work with. I would definitely use DC Keeton Home Improvements again.

  • It turned out perfect. They were able to make them look square in a non-square environment. Their work is very good. We looked around a bit and they seem to be the guys that this is all they do. They know their product and are very good. They also hauled away the old stuff.

  • Wayne arrived and measured the shower on 7/21. He was very thorough and checked his measurements multiple times. The install was scheduled for 7/29. Wayne and Chad arrived on the agreed upon date and time and started the install. The glass was cut precisely and fit the shower stall without any issues. They needed about 1.5 hours to complete the job. I was completely satisfied with the work. They were very professional and everything was clean and tidy when they left. The free spot-free glass treatment was a plus as well. I highly recommend this company.

  • They did a really good job for us! It was completed in less than a week. We had slippage on the door after the work was done and we called them and they came right out to adjust that for us. They were really quick and responsive.
