Zohar is extremely skilled & professional contractor and easy person to work with. Zohar always made sure to respond our questions and concerns via phone calls, texts and emails in a short time frame and went above and beyond to make sure we are satisfied and happy with the remodeling project. Zohar corrected everything and anything that his and our eye caught or even things that he didn’t think was right or perfect.   • Excellent. The person helping us explained what needed to be done, possible changes in the appearance of the carpet and gave us a very reasonable price. The rug was pretty dirty so in the end he washed it twice before repairing the sides and putting on new fringe. He still charged us the original price in spite of the extra washing that was needed. The rug looks great and the workmanship is high quality and there were no surprises with the result. Definitely recommend Rugzy.

  • It went very well. Kevin (one of the two movers) kept me updated at all stages of the move as to when they would arrive, and also let me know when and why they were delayed (a combination of unusual traffic for a Saturday and a customer not being home at a scheduled time put them a half-hour behind). I appreciated the communication and I especially appreciated the great care they took with the piano, and that they answered all my questions and were super-helpful. The best part--they took such good care of the piano when they moved it that it arrived still in tune and ready to play! :)

  • Mr. Novotny was very helpful in this process. He was quick, thorough, and knowledgable about a variety of different items. He was aware of current market values and very careful to explain the prices he was giving. He was pleasant to work with and our family felt relieved to have someone come in give us a realistic estimation of the value of the home's contents. We would definitely hire him again.

  • We had 6 Ethan Allen chairs and 2 newly purchased chairs which we wanted covered in the same material.   The older chairs hadn't been recovered in many years, so the cushioning was flattened.  I went to the Parker Upholstery store in Palos Verdes, even though I live in Whittier, because the great reviews on Angie's list and Yelp seemed to merit the trip.  Bobby was off that day, but his mother and father were there and were quite gracious and exceptionally knowledgeable.

      I took a fabric packet home and called back the next day saying that I would like them to do the work.  Bobby took the call and helped me for the rest of the job.   He was also gracious, knowledgeable, suggested I keep the fabric packet until he came out to pick up the chairs, saving me another long trip.  He was timely with the pickup, completion of the work and delivery.  There was a rare issue with the fabric being caught up in customs.  Bobby kept me calm and updated.  When the fabric was delivered, he completed the job quickly. 

    The chairs look TERRIFIC!!!  And the new cushioning is extremely comfortable.  My high expectations were more than met!!!!

    I wouldn't hesitate a minute to do business with Parker Upholstery.  The chairs were their own recommendation last night when my book club members saw how beautiful they look.

  • We called the owner during the week and he was able to come over on a Saturday when we were home.  He brought fabric samples and talked about what he could do for our couch.  He picked the couch up the next day and gave us estimated that we would have it back in a week.  I think we got it back in 8 days.  The work was top quality, very nicely done.  He asked us to call if we had any problems.

  • My table had been damaged from an alcohol spill...not drinking alcohol. Grant from Rahns Furniture Refinishing assured me he could make it look better than when it was new. They completely stripped the entire top and refinished it. He was right! The table top has a beautiful new finish even better than when we bought it new. The finish is a much higher quality than original. Grant told me it had a bar top finish and very durable, but the thing he recommended never putting on a table directly is a pizza box. He told me nothing ruins the finish more than a hot steaming greasy pizza box. | |I am more satisfied than I thought I would be. Rahns Furniture Refinishing is a top class organization and really know what they are doing. I recommend then unconditionally and would definitely use them again.

  • The experience was fine, but we don't like the filter being as expensive as it is. We have to replace the filter refrigerator like every few months. We didn't realize that the filter would be so expensive. They are usually pretty good, except that they forgot to mention that we would have to replace the filter every so often. The price for the refrigerator was okay, it was comparable to everyone else, but the filter is too expensive. The quality has been good, and we don't have any complaints. They delivered it on time, and so punctuality was good.

  • We fell in love with this company's work after visiting a friend who had had some pieces upholstered by this company. I like buying older pieces of furniture and getting them re-upholstered, as opposed to buying new, so I was excited to try this La Habra F&F. As luck would have it, my mother had two gorgeous antique chairs that I had purchased for her some time ago, and she was ready to get them re-done, so it was my chance to work with LH F&F.
    I came by to drop the chairs off and had a nice, long chat with the owner, Paul. He and I are about the same age, and we seemed to get along well; and going by the quality of the work he'd done for my friends, I was quite excited to see the results. About a month later (!) I got a call from Paul telling me the chairs were ready. None of us were exactly in a hurry to get them done, so the timing didn't seem to matter as much--I figured that a good job takes time. Paul had quoted us a price of $250/chair (which did NOT include fabric--we supplied that), which I thought was a bit excessive, but since these were antiques and the springs needed to be re-tied, neither I nor my mom thought it was too much out of the ballpark. Again, these people did quality work, and we know that you really do pay for what you get.  
    I went to pick up the chairs and they were indeed beautiful. However, upon inspection, I noticed a tiny staple sticking out of the bottom of the back rail (wooden) of one of the chairs. Although it was a bit dismaying, I figured as long as they fixed it, it wasn't that big of a deal--they were otherwise gorgeous and very well-done. I told the young lady at the counter and she had the gentleman in back come get the chair and said he would fix it, which he did promptly. However, when I inspected the on-the-spot fix, I noticed he had damaged the wood even more.
    So I left the chair with her and told her to inform Paul (the owner). He called me within the next couple of days and said he could fix it, but did I have more fabric so he wouldn't have to re-use the already used fabric on the back part of the chair? I did, and took it to him a few days later; however, I was a little miffed, as we had planned to use that fabric for something else--so now I'm using more of MY money (cost of the extra fabric) to fix something HE damaged...but what the heck, I wanted a good job done. 
    Another two weeks later, I call him and ask if the chairs are ready, he says "Give me another day or two". I get busy, and a WEEK later I call to say I'm coming to pick them up...he says they're STILL NOT READY YET--another DAY. I phoned him later that day to tell him how disappointed I had been with how this had all panned out, but he didn't answer the phone  so I left a message. I called the next day to come pick up the chair, but he said he could have someone drop it off--MAYBE. He said he would call to confirm. I never got the confirmation call, but about two hours later I got a call from the delivery guy telling me he was at my front's a good thing I wasn't far away! 
    Paul does wonderful work, but if this is the way he treats his customers, in my book IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW GOOD HE IS. I will never use him again, and maybe he doesn't care about that, but as a business owner myself, THAT'S NOT THE WAY YOU TREAT PEOPLE. He blew it.

  • The process went really well. They even sent me a package so I could measure the dimensions of my table and sent it back to ensure extreme accuracy. They were very thorough. The whole process was very timely as well. It only took about two weeks from the time I returned the measuring package to receive my custom made table pad.
