Service performed was awesome! The technician explained everything he found, how we could self-repair if needed, and also showed us signed of rodents damaging our ducting. His good deed of the day was to repair all the holes he found in our ducts (outside the scope of his service) and we are grateful.

Lam Tran came out to do our seasonal service maintenance. He thoroughly cleaned our furnace, as well as the blower for the HVAC. Not just a quick wipe either. He cleaned it well and installed the right filters for it. Lam recommended an air scrubber. I had experienced these before in certain Vegas casinos and they do work. This was not something offered or recommended on our original AC install. It also wasnt on other visits. Lam explained the product and what it would do. We have dirty air in our home, with dust and such. Just the same afternoon already noticing a difference. Excited to see how it performs. Have already asked Lam to be our technician on future visits. He is very personable, friendly and wanting to make sure the job is done right.

Very well, no wasted time, just like putting a puzzle together, each progression went well and when done, the next piece was started right away. Not days in between work. From start to finish, we were able to use our facilities without undue interruption. A warning to others out there, when your property is older and you do not have a "clean out" the photo attached shows what happens. 1, Install a clean out if you do not have one 2. Clean out your lines to be proactive on a regular basis 3. If you have to replace your sewer line, it can be done with little disruption by inserting a liner. Regular maintenance can save you thousands down the road....

    A-1 Certified Appliance Repair
Excellent service! That's why we always call him for appliance issues. We appreciate that appointment times are convenient and courtesy phone calls are made just prior to arrival. Nick is always friendly and the task-at-hand is completed in swift fashion. We couldn't have asked for a more knowledgeable appliance man. You can't go wrong!

Matt came out and provided a free estimate. He was very thorough and answered all my questions. I chose Yaeger because the price was good and Matt made me feel like these guys know what they're doing. We had some scheduling issues but that was mostly on our side because we were nine months pregnant. The crew that came for the install was very professional and friendly. They showed up when they said they would and got right to work. The work went smooth and did not inconvenience us in any way. The job was done in three days (mostly) and everything worked great! We did run into a problem with the vents. Due to some earlier remodeling the vents had been modified (unknown to me) that caused an issue. This was not discovered until the vents were to be installed on the last day. This caused a delay as some sheet metal needed to be ordered to ensure the vents were sealed properly. I think this could have been found earlier if the vents had been inspected better. Also I was told they would call me to schedule the time for them to come back and finish and they never did. I ended up calling them after a few days. Overall I'm very pleased and would recommend them.

Diagnosed cracked welds in old heat exchangers quickly. These cannot be repaired. Installed new furnace in three hours and hauled away old unit. Fine work. Oh! Best price around (depends on area to be heated)

    Home Comfort USA
On Thu, Aug 4, 2016, my 13-year-old Rheem, builder's grade HVAC system stopped working. Since I had experienced good service with Home Comfort (formerly American Comfort) over the last several years (Home Comfort did not sell me my old system; I purchased it from an independent contractor), I called to schedule an appointment regarding different options Home Comfort could offer me. On Sat, Aug 6, I selected an upgraded, high-end, Lennox resort-grade system and emphasized that I wanted an auto-switch thermostat that I had been used to on my previous system (automatically switches between AC and heat as needed). The installation was performed Mon, Aug 8, and took approximately 8.5 hours. When I asked the installers if I had an auto thermostat for the new system, they said yes. They removed the old system, insulated the walls of the furnace closet, and installed and rewired the new system. It all looked wonderful, quickly passed city inspection, worked very quietly, and cooled efficiently. Three months later, on Fri, Nov 18, when temperatures began dropping at night--and the day before I was leaving for a 2-week vacation out of state--I realized that I had a manual thermostat and had to adjust the thermostat to heat. Unfortunately, I also discovered that the heat wasn't working. I double-checked the thermostat and the Lennox manuals to ensure I hadn't overlooked any steps. On Sat, Nov 19, I called for service, but due to short-handed availability of technicians (Customer Service (CS) representative said a couple of technicians had called in sick), they couldn't send anyone until Monday. I was concerned because I had family members (adult and child) in the house while I was gone on vacation. Since I would be on vacation on the day of service, I arranged for someone to be at the house during the window of time provided by the CS representative (2-4 pm because CS rep told me that the technician did not have a heavy schedule that afternoon). On Monday afternoon, the person waiting at my home texted me at 4:15 pm and said no technician had showed up, and I asked that person to call the CS phone number I texted. He did and informed me that the new ETA was 5 pm and that the CS rep told him that the standard service window of time was 1 pm-5 pm. Five pm came and went, and the new ETA from CS was 6 pm. The person canceled the service because he had to leave. My adult family member at home told me when I called to wait to schedule service until I came back from vacation because it was too stressful and unreliable to schedule service. While on vacation, I purchased an auto thermostat at Costco that was the same brand (Honeywell) as the one that Home Comfort installed (I didn't want to fight the issue about an auto thermostat and just wanted it done). My family members used the fireplace and blankets to keep warm at night. I called CS several days (Wednesday) before I returned from vacation (Saturday) to ensure a technician would come first thing Monday morning, Dec 5, and to let them know that I also wanted the technician to replace the thermostat with the one I purchased. The CS rep provided a window of time between 8-10 am. On Dec 5, about 9:30 am, a CS rep called me to let me know that the technician would be there closer to 10 am. He showed up about 10:30 am. It took him about two hours to check everything, rewire the system (it had been mis-wired), and test everything (both heat and cooling). He also had to call the Honeywell CS (15 minutes on Hold) to walk him through the system programming because the technician said it didn't go according to instructions in the manual. Happily, Home Comfort did not charge me a dime for service because it was included under the warranty. The cost in this review was the amount I paid in August for the system.

Mighty Ducts Heating & Cooling Inc
Andreas Laux and his entire crew were absolutely the best. Courteous, clean, efficient and knowledgeable. I have used Mighty Ducts before to test the old (1991) Rheem condenser when the problem both times was primarily with my old Zinsco 125 amp main electric service panel capacity and breakers. Mighty Ducts also arranged for an a 3rd party asbestos abatement company to remove many feet of asbestos wrapped metal ducts (paid separately) before Mighty Ducts started work. I can honestly say that my dealings with Mighty Ducts was the absolute best I have ever had with any licensed contractor. EVRYTHING is working great so far. The work, the equipment, Andreas' skilled, careful design of just the right system for our 1750 sq. ft. single story home (built 1967) was first-rate. Please don't expect it, but Andreas did one huge, unrelated thing for me, without charge, that had been a thorn in my side for about 12 years. We purchased a brand new GE Monagram range vent hood 12 years ago. The installation was improper because of a 6" drop-down soffit in the kitchen that didn't meet GE specifications for clearance, ceiling to floor. Also a transition piece of sheet metal from the damper opening/closing of vent hood to the ducting going to the roof vent was not secured and dropped down on the damper preventing it from opening. That caused one of the main circuit boards to fail. GE would not repair it (I even had an extended warranty) because they could not move the two overlapping stainless steel stacks above the hood where the electronics are without completely dropping the hood down. GE sent me all the likely parts to fix the failure but I had to get the clearance fixed before GE would touch it. Along comes Mighty Ducts, and totally outside the scope of their work, Andreas, one of his crew and I dropped the hood down, fixed the unsecured transition duct piece and installed a new circuit board GE had sent me 12 years ago. My wife had over the years described the range hood (original cost about $1800) as the most expensive non-functioning decoration in our house! NOW, thanks to Andreas and Mighty Ducts our range hood is FINALLY working! As for HVAC, I will always use Mighty Ducts Heating and Cooling. Such dedication to their work and customers. Oh yes, we have since also upgraded our main electric service panel with a new 200 amp one and all new breakers.

Kalka Heating & Air Conditioning Inc
The AC was bought at a home improvement store and Kalka Heating was the installation contractor. The crew showed up as scheduled and on time. They were very attentive to details and kept us informed of any concerns and provided solutions. We have a very low pitch roof that no human can get into, but they managed to get the new duct work and electrical installed. Very satisfied with the installation crew.

    IND Construction Inc
David, the owner, is pleasant and friendly to work with. He personally works hard to achieve customer satisfaction, but needs better support from his sub contractors and workers. We found the quality of work provided by IND usually adequate , but not as high as other contractors that worked on our remodel. Probably the part that IND had the most difficulty with was the painting of the fascia boards, which developed bubbles, or blistering. Despite the repeated painting, they were not able to resolve the issue. We ended the contract and brought in another, more experienced painter, who was able to correct the problem. We concluded the bubbles were caused by the use of improper primer and patching material (spackling). Later work by another contractor, who replaced the driveway, revealed that the concrete for the foundation footings had not been poured properly. Another concern was that the sink cut outs in the kitchen quartz counter tops have an excessive over hang of the counter top, which allows for mold and mildew to grow underneath the counter top above the sink. There were some issues during the construction that David proactively resolved, despite whether it was IND's responsibility to correct or the architect's. One example was the width of the garage door, which had originally been framed a little too small. At the beginning, IND kept construction going at a rapid pace, but later the pace slowed down. David has a mind for efficiency, and the distance between IND's base in the San Fernando Valley and my house in Orange County caused work on our project to be given lower priority. Also, some of the tasks were not done in the right sequence, causing re-worked for a roughly finished result. The stucco brown coat inspection was not accomplished before the color coat was applied. The contract could have more clearly delineated what was provided and what was not included. That would have prevented some misunderstandings later on, but IND made an extra effort many times during construction to accommodate our particular requests and changes that were identified as needed as work progressed.
