    The Design & Execution/Physical Landscaping was performed to the agreed expectation = GREAT. The team managed our expectations from the start and thus no confusion, all expectations were met. Our questions were always answered promptly both phone or email. A 90 day warranty for the plants exists which is important. Further, upon completion Dee offered to provide advice to ensure we know how to properly care and maintain the landscape moving forward. We would happily/willingly offer to stand as a reference for the G&L team; Dee, Mike & Sharon.

    Malibu Coast Nursery and Landscape
    The provider was cutting stone in the backyard of my neighbor and a significant amount of dust was blanketing my house, spa, and cars.  It was even coating the air conditioning unit which was right over the fence from where the provider was performing work.  Now I understand that the work needed to be done and did not want to cease the work but wanted to ask if the workers could use fans to blow the dust to a safe location where it would not impact any of the homes surrounding the property.  
    I got out my ladder and hollered over the fence to the worker if he had a moment. He simply looked at me.  I asked if he had any fans to redirect the dust as it was causing some issues on my property.  I also wanted to simply ask how long he would be cutting so I could program my AC to turn on when he was done (it was 93 degrees that afternoon).  All he said to me was, "Call the owner of the company" and then went back to work.  I yelled towards him again as I did not know the owner of the company as the truck he was driving had no markings.  He simply pointed to his shirt which had a logo on it.  Being 20 yards away I asked if I could get the number.  Upset, he walked to the front of the house and proceeded to tell me that he has never had anyone complain and he does work on houses worth tens of millions of dollars, even the CEO of Blackberry in Canada!  He simply wanted to proceed with telling me how naive I was if I thought he could contain the dust.  Well, I actually know several ways to do this but that's not the point.  I copied the number from his shirt (seems like he was a subcontractor which is never good). 
    I called the number and got a voicemail.  I left a message asking for someone to call me back.  About 30 minutes later I got a text message, "Got your message, sorry about the dust".....I waited 20 minutes to see if I would get more of a response or a phone call and I did not.  Then I texted back asking if we could speak.  He said he was busy and he would call in 3 hours when he was done with a meeting.  I said, pleas call ASAP as I wanted to chat with him briefly.  He then said the cutting would be done that day.  Well, that did not help any.  Needless to say, he never called.  I called again, twice, and got no return call.  
    I called the owner of the house who is a friend and she apologized for their behavior and offered to pay to have anything cleaned.  
    Here it is, the next day, and another worker is next-door cutting away at stone and kicking up heaps of dust.  I still have not heard from this owner.  
    My point being, I would never hire anyone who acted like this.  There is something to be said for a contractor who respects the community he works in, especially the neighbors.  As I was doing research about this company online it seems to have changed names a few times and even is showing a business license that is out of date on Angie's list.  
    It is amazing, had the worker just been polite and able to communicate with me about what he was doing and how long it would take and perhaps put a fan on that would blow the dust to an open area besides my house then all this would have been averted.  And for the owner, to not call someone who has a complaint about a job he is working on is pretty poor.  It shows he does not care about others and is not a very nice individual.

    Duraturf in
    my mind is without a doubt the best in the business. I say this from experience
    with Duraturf now at multiple properties recently. Years ago I used another
    company at one of my properties and was so disappointed with the whole process
    that I decided artificial grass was just not the way to go until the industry
    advanced a bit. I reconsidered recently after a recommendation to try Duraturf
    from a source I really trust. From the start of project to completion and onto
    the excellent after service, I really have been very impressed with Duraturf
    overall. I own and manage several high end properties in California so my
    vendor standard of work critique is high. I worked with Tim Dennis each time and
    he was simply the most professional and most honest turf specialist I dealt
    with out of several companies that I allowed to bid on all the work that I
    recently had done. Because of the size of one property in particular that he
    did for me, which was about 80,000 square feet of grass replacement, I of
    course got several bids from several companies to compare. Tim and Duraturf had
    by far the best product and at a very, very fair price comparably. This company
    has now done work for me at my properties in Beverly Hills, Malibu and Westlake
    Village. I?ll be using them at several other investment properties I own in the
    Southbay also because I am so impressed. I would not hesitate recommending them
    to my family and closest friends. Some things I found while going through the lengthy
    process of selecting artificial turf and in particular Duraturf were that
    Duraturf simply has, in my opinion, the best looking finished product, they
    have the best pricing, the best management and crew working knowledge, and the
    after care availability is excellent (we have had no problems, but we host
    events and Duraturf has offered to help as needed at any time during the event
    setups). I highly recommend Tim Dennis and the entire Duraturf company now that
    I have gone through several installments at my properties with them.

    The finished turf and border plants look great!  All the work was done very professionally and they worked very quickly.  Everything was completed in only 4 days!  This included removing all the old border plants and grass, removing old, unneeded sprinkler heads and pipes, preparing the ground, and installing all the new stuff.  They also touched up some other areas of my yard with left-over fill for no extra charge.  I will definitely use them again and will recommend them to others.

    It was a great experience. Tom, the owner, was onsite almost every day to check progress and to direct his guys. The crew worked very hard and did a great job. They were also very courteous and diligent about cleaning up after themselves at the end of every day. We are definitely going to use them for our upcoming front yard project! I would have no hesitation recommending 24ktGreen

    I pay for service by the month. The service was great. He does not have a set time to come, but he always comes on the day he says he will be here. He is really good. He works right alongside his crew, and he works just as hard as they do. He is the best gardener that I have ever had. I would tell a friend that if he has any openings, jump at the chance. He is worth the money, and he is always willing to do extra work if needed.

    professional team of gardeners and it will take 2 months to get the yard looking the way that it should.  Office manager/wife.bookkeeper not very nice as well.  We are trying to get the payments made in a timely manner and to finally pay off the bill and to have the appropriate adjustments made to our bill (Not showing up to service the account on the 28th of November) and after many arguments and back and forth, I give up.  Never argue with someone who is not worth arguing with-THE CUSTOMER IS NEVER RIGHT AND SHOULD NEVER BE HEARD!!!!!!!

    We worked with Liz for our design - she was great - very responsive, punctual, worked with us over various revisions until we were happy with the plans.  We love her design!!  Liz had told us typically after signing the contract and giving the deposit it only takes a week or so for the work to begin.  Due to backup because of holidays/heat ours ended up starting a bit later than that.  They did the planting but we were missing some of the plants (for our slope) that they could not obtain at start of planting.  Normally I think they get the work for these type of jobs done in a few days time (no hardscape).  However, ours ended up stretching to a little more than 4 weeks from initial planting to completion, which we were a little disappointed in, as we were not made aware that it was going to extend that long.  Granted - we did end up adding additional work at Dee's suggestion (replacing our valve/timer for the existing sprinklers) and doing additional weed killer (at my request as I confirmed with Dee that the initial weed killer that was part of our bid wasn't done in all beds).  So this took some additional time.  Since completion we have had a couple issues but they have responded right away and have been very responsive.  I think we are a one-off - I think there were various things that ended up causing delays in our job that are not how it typically goes for others - and I believe they are a great company.  However - I would probably next time ask for an estimated end date before giving my payment during planting (about 90% of the payment was due at the time of planting).

     All in all we are very happy with the design and final result and would recommend the company - with suggestion to try to get details regarding start/end estimated dates of the job to not have any surprises.

    gardener after gardener... the yard always looks the same, sort of crappy. Grass dies, we say fix sprinklers, they say ok, they don't. Grass dies, we sod, sod dies. This has been the pattern for years. Until now. Alejandro came, assessed and ACTUALLY fixed sprinklers, replaced others, turned others off and within TWO weeks I have THE most lucious grass in the neighborhood. The transformation is amazing. And they asked for about the same as my previous gardener. They were a little more but... we now realize so worth it! Kept them for monthy maintenance. Thank you Ivory coast
