    A Wiseman's Home Improvement Inc
Everything went better than expected! We provided the kitchen appliances and Wiseman installed them. I know that job was going to be challenging because of the tight fit with the new stuff, but they cut granite, adjusted cabinets and made it look super-professional. The master bathroom was completely gutted. We found a slipper tub and fixtures we wanted to use and they had no problem incorporating those into the bathroom. We also had our own ideas on what ceramic tile/marble we wanted to use. Phil found a really nice accent pattern that we ended up using in several places in the bathroom and we love the design changes that he recommended. We both had problems locating the cabinets for the master bath, but we were also looking for pre-made cabinets, rather than custom built, which they also offer, but at a higher price. We did find a great solution and love how it turned out. We also had new flooring installed throughout the house. We took care of getting the bedrooms carpeted through Lowe's, but we had Wiseman install tile flooring throughout most of the house, plus wood laminate in a couple of rooms. We ended up providing more materials than we expected, but since the original agreement gave us an allowance toward flooring choices, that cost was backed out of the contract and we simply purchased the flooring ourselves and Wiseman installed it. I can imagine that most constructions projects have surprises that need to be dealt with and we were no exception. In fact, we had some pretty substantial surprises and we talked them through, discussing various ways to resolve them, and both agreed on ways to move forward that were not always the least expensive, but we felt like we were part of the process and had some control over our expenses. Wiseman is prompt, very careful with their work, did a great job cleaning up daily and were very professional. There were no delays on their part and our friends love how our home looks now! I would definitely recommend Wiseman to anyone needing to spruce up their home.

    Phillips Advantage Handyman Services
Mike was great, on time, showed up everyday through completion, knowledgeable, a perfectionist, and did a great job laying our tile. He even gave me a few tips I can do myself to enhance the front porch. I would highly recommend him for anyone who needs tile installed.

    Larson's Flooring Installations
Randy and his sons showed up on the first day and got straight to work. They were all extremely courteous and informative throughout the whole process. Randy was able to remove all carpet and install the laminate in ~1200 sqft in 2 days and left the house clean and mopped after the laminate installation was complete. I am not familiar with the laminate installation process and options but Randy was able to recommend some options and it was extremely helpful. Randy was very attentive to detail which can be clearly seen in the work towards the end of the baseboards. You can tell that he has extensive experience with laminate. We love the way the laminate looks and feels. I will definitely recommend Randy to my family.

    Barrett Construction
Barrett is an honest, hard-working contractor who is consistently thinking about the project and offering ideas on how to best match a homeowners sometimes unrealistic expectations with what can actually happen.  Barrett worked with my wife and I to transform a leaky-roofed patio room with no insulation into a modern, insulated room that is now the room we've always wanted.  Barrett worked with us through a number of issues that were literally uncovered after demolition.  With every idea we had came the pro/con sides and left us making far better decisions about our new "great" room.  He is a one-man operation, so we did have a longer than average time without our room, but considering the crazy estimates we were given by a general contractor, it made sense to hire Barrett and find other contractors to repair the roof and hang/texture the drywall.
Pros:  reliable, honest, good eye, trustworthy, fair price, flexible, precise cuts, pride in work
Cons: one-man operation (speed), he's not a plumber/roofer-- just ask him and he'll tell you!

    Capitol Flooring & Design Ctr
First off, the workmanship is great. The floors look really good! However, the customer service at Capitol Flooring and Design is BAD. The people that work there are friendly when you can get a hold of them. We had major issues scheduling/getting details on the work that was going to be done. They seem to be too busy for their own good, or have too few staff members. Communication was very unclear. They forgot to do one section of our floors and it took over 3 weeks to finally get someone out to fix it.
Further, Capitol Flooring didn't provide us with any paperwork before the work was done, and the price came back about $150 more than we expected. I'll admit, it's partially our fault for not asking for an itemized list before work began, but as this was our first home and the first time having work donewe were naive.
Overall, if you go with Capitol Flooring, you'll end up having a floor that looks great, but you're likely to have many headaches/frustrations in the meantime.

    Bello Hardwood Flooring
Dorel from Bello Hardwood Flooring was great to work with throughout the entire process.  He met me at the house to provide an estimate and described the removal and installation process.  He offered suggestions and options for new flooring, and went as far as finding out if the existing flooring was still made, where to find it, and how much it cost.  My initial impression was confirmed throughout the work: he is honest, a skilled and knowledgable contractor, personable, responsive and flexible.  The flooring was removed and replaced and the final product looks great!  I would recommend Dorel and his staff to anyone needing repair or replacement of hardwood flooring!  Thank you for your hard work, beautiful flooring and helpful demeanor!

    Hardwood Floors plus More
John and his team were stellar beyond measure. We invited 3 floor installation contractors to our home to provide a quote, and John's estimate for services was, by far, the most competitive. He was a bit late for our appt.,though through the process, I learned that the reason why is primarily because he's so busy! While there was some inconvenience, it was easy to let it go because of how thorough he was. Of all the contractors that provided a quote, he was the only one who took the time to ask about the bamboo flooring that we had in the kitchen/dining area, which we planned on keeping until he clarified how much of the work would likely have to be redone if we decided to change that flooring in the future. This was because of the floating/locking cork panels we chose. So we decided to add those rooms to the project, and we're so happy we did!! It looks amazing...so much larger and wide open, with less transition. His team showed up right on time on the day of installation and got right to work. They were done by midday the following day, even though John said it would take 3--4 days!! We had run into some challenges with the retailer we purchased the flooring from because they had provided bamboo trim that didn't match the flooring. They suggested a local furniture restoration business that could stain oak trim to match the cork. They were not able to get the trim to us for staining in time for the the installation, thus John wasn't able to finish the job. He was VERY flexible and professional about it. We told him we would contact him when the staining was finished. It took much longer than expected and when John didn't hear from us after a few days, he checked in. When the trim arrived, he showed up on his own to begin the installation. He immediately surmised that the company who sold us the trim didn't send what was ordered, resulting in us having too much of T-trim and none of the quarter rounds that were needed to go around the base of the cupboards in the kitchen. At first he said he would make the t-trim work, then he quickly changed his mind, saying that it wouldn't look as good as he'd prefer. He then offered to purchase the quarter rounds we needed, in the right color to match the cupboards and only asked me to add $30 to the total for doing so! I was so thankful, that I added $40, still thinking perhaps that wasn't enough. He refused to take any more, because we ended up spending $200 on staining the trim and didn't end up using a good portion of it. We have plans to install some tile in other rooms throughout our home and there is no question that we will use John!! We are also going to be replacing carpeting in the bedrooms and were disappointed that he doesn't do carpet installation! John and his team are amazing, kind, professional, flexible and patient. Their quality of work and clean up after the project were top notch. I simply cannot recommend Hardwood Floors Plus More enough!

    Barrett Construction
My favorite part of working with Barrett was his receptiveness to my vision and his continual attention to the details.  Barrett not only did everything I asked, but the standards he set for himself met or exceeded my own.  Even while my floor was placed on back-order and we had to sit idle for a couple of weeks, he moved his calendar and made it happen.  He did take an extra day than what he initially estimated, but the quality of the work was well worth the extra.  My wife especially appreciated that he kept the work-site clean throughout the process, and I appreciated the respect he gave.
I would certainly recommend Barrett and expect to use his services again.  He is a one-man operation and does not contract out.  If you're looking for an earnest contractor that holds himself accountable, look no more.

PEVERINI TILE, MARBLE, & CONSTRUCTION INC
We recently had to have the only two bathrooms we have renovated as a result of a result of a major sewer backup and break.  Needless to say multiple companies were involved but this review will be regarding the work of Perverini Tile and Marble Inc.
Roger Peverini  came out and personally made an assessment of the work required.  I selected the tile and provided my ideas of what I wanted done in both bathrooms.  Roger provided a proposal and contract clearly identifying the type of tile, how the tile would be placed and set over sheetrock. The price included tile and labor to install.  The contract also indicated progress payments clearly identifying the amount and at which point during the process payment was expected.  Roger explained the process to me and that he and 2-3 other individuals who work for him would be part of the project.  Knowing we had no other bathrooms in the house Roger stated they would get the job done as quickly as possible.  Roger provided a time and date when he or his crew would be at our house.  Roger arrived on time and on several occasions worked late; this also included working on the weekends by his assistant.
I was so impressed with the professionalism I have recommended them to family and friends.
The end result is just beautiful.  Would I hire Peverini Tile and Marble again Yes!!  (Don't tell my husband but next year I want
    tile for my kitchen:-)!!!
