Overpriced/poor quality/poor customer service. Did not go well. Would not recommend. Got a total of five bids, and these guys were the most expensive. Decided to go with them anyway because they were able to do the carpentry (dry rot repair) and the exterior paint job without subbing anything out, and because they took their time with the estimate, put on a professional front, spoke good english, and had a good reputation. My bad. The owners of the company handed the work of to other contractors, and left me to deal with all the problems, telling me that the contractors (which spoke poor english) were their "front" and that I should deal with them. Their carpenters damaged my rain gutters and roof, and denied that they had done anything even though I had before and after photos. Took weeks to resolve, and my gutters still don't look right. Pretty much the same story with the painters. They barely did any prep work, didn't follow any of the instructions that I had given the company owners at job start, and did sloppy low quality work. I spent several days fixing their slop. Lastly, they are WAY overpriced. Stay clear unless you like over paying for frustration. Just go with the low bid and save a few bucks.

Mike was great, on time, showed up everyday through completion, knowledgeable, a perfectionist, and did a great job laying our tile. He even gave me a few tips I can do myself to enhance the front porch. I would highly recommend him for anyone who needs tile installed.

Lombardi Painting did a wonderful job, He had a crew of 4 or 5 and they showed up on time. They caulked and painted the entire house plus a shed and bird feeder pole. They were extremely neat, picked up after themselves Our neighbor saw the work they were doing and called them to get a quote. They are the best of the best and I can't say anything bad about them. We definitely would use them again for interior painting.

If they come to your door, tell them "thanks, but no." Trust me. You don't want them painting your home. After they came to our door last April, we got snookered in and thought that we'd be helping out some students from UCD with their tuition expenses by giving them the job. And since we were promised that a professional painter would be onsite everyday, we assumed that we'd get a good exterior paint job, plus help out some kids. The job was slated to start in the summer, and finally was scheduled for July. We had problems from the start, but stupidly believed when they re-assured us that all would be ok in the end. Well after two stop orders and about $7000 worth of damage to our property, we'd had enough. Their work was sub-amateur, even leaving actual paint footprints on our concrete steps, and overspray on everything. I could have done a better job. We ended up having to file a claim with our homeowner's insurance for the damage they caused and contracting with a reputable and professional painting contractor for a complete re-paint as the job was so poorly done. Remember, when they come to your door, tell them "thanks, but no."

    PaintRite Pros
It went very smoothly. We worked with Kelly Moore in Folsom to choose our paints. We highly recommend you bring paint samples home and try them on your house. We didn't like the original color combination we chose after actually testing them on our house. The painters asked us to review their work and was very willing to touch up anything we wanted, which was a few boards on our facia. We had our gutters removed before painting and this exposed wood that was not originally painted when the house was new. We also removed anything else attached to the house. They prepped it by filling in all the holes and caulking as required. We had one big crack that they filled in as well. We are very satisfied with Paintrite Pros.

    Quality First Home Improvement Inc.
The company was great.  They did take a little longer than I would have liked to start, however, the price and quality of the patio cover and solar panels was great.  There was an issue with my solar loan due to Quality First taking so long to complete the project, however, they worked with me every step of the way to ensure I got a new loan.

    Alkema Painting
I wrestled with even writing a review because I am not one to give letter "F" grades. I have to tell you, I am SO disappointed and feel SO ripped off that I have finally worked up the courage to write a poor review.
Here are the quick facts once the job was finished:
    1. The body of my house had MANY areas that could be chipped just by taking a finger nail and flaking off paint.
    2. There were obvious brush stokes on the trim.
    4. I requested they not paint my new electric box, sprinkler timer, outlet box, and cables attached to one wall of the house. They painted EVERYTHING.  Just sprayed on the paint and moved on. This cannot be reversed.
    5. They removed NOTHING from the house like vents or down spouts, just painted around everything or painted over everything.
    6. There was not attention to detail or pride in the work being done. My house was just another house to them.
    7. The job was rushed.
After the job was done, getting DeAnna back out to look at the house was difficult. We had an appointment and she was an hour late. She had many excuses for why things had become so unprofessional.  She was very apologetic and ensured the damage would be repaired.
She sent out ONE painter to fix the MOUNTAIN of problems about two weeks after she was notified of the issues. This painter was 2 hours late the two days he came out.
It was clear to me that I had already paid and was no longer a priority. The doors were all repainted again on a 90 degree day. They had to be left open all day again. Within a week of being repainted, all the doors continued to stick and have peeling paint.
My house still has many issues due to a poor quality paint job. DeAnna says our warranty will cover this. However, my husband and I don't trust Alkema and cannot allow them to continue just making things worse. We will most likely hire another company and spend another couple thousand to repair all of Alkema's careless mistakes.

    GTL Construction Inc
We have used GTL many times in the past for our house and our rental house.  They have done our base boards and window sills and now we used them to paint the exterior of the house.
Not only did they beat all other companies by $100, but they do 2 coats of spray and 2 coats of backroll while the other companies only did each 1 time.
I love using GTL and will always use them in the future for our house needs.

Nathan"s worker came by on the day before to prep for painting. The worker power washed , caulked surfaces that were to be painted. The next day the worker showed up early, Nathan brought the paint and the painting process started. Nathan's worker was professional , knowledgeable and did a great job. He started about 8:30 am and finished about 7:00pm.

When we inspected the property last year, we discovered that some repairs were needed before painting could begin. That got complicated, then winter set in. Rob kept in touch and always responded promptly. After repairs were completed, he scheduled the work, coordinated with tenants, and had the job done over a long weekend. Some older wood required more prep than usual.
    It looks terrific!
