    Barrett Construction
My wife and I enjoyed working with Barrett.  He is professional and flexible with our ever changing requests.  He stayed on target with budget and time to complete the job.  We are very happy with his work and highly recommend his services.  We will definitely contact him again for future remodel projects!

    Renewal by Andersen of Sacramento
It is fine. We didn’t have any dislikes and I do like it. It was costly. I had to them to paint the trim or whatever that I don’t think they had any intentions on doing. When they came out, the foremen had told me that all that would be done. I just had to make sure that stuff was done and I don’t think I should have had to do that considering the price I paid for the door. They never contacted me again after they did the installation. The quality of it is good but I don’t know if it is any better than other stuff. They did come in and they were very quick. They were clean and they did clean up everything. I didn’t have to worry about that. It was only one window and a door and it was a quick job. The pricing was really high. I don’t think they had the best pricing and I think they had terrible pricing. I think they are too expensive. They didn’t contact me at all until the windows were here. I kind of wondered if they had forgotten about me. I didn’t like the way their billing was. I have never had to call them back for anything. It took a while to get them.

    Eudy Door Co
My home is 14 years old and the garage door that was installed when the house was built began to fail; the very thin aluminum door panels were bending like an aluminum can.  Eudy provided a very reasonable quote to replace the door with an upgraded strudier door with windows in the top panels.  A gentleman came out to measure the door, provided options on door style/windows, and scheduled the appt to install.  Robert arrived on time to install the new door.  He finished the installation in less than 2 hours (from the time he arrived and when he left).  I'm very happy with the new door and with Eudy's service.
I've used Eudy in the past to install a new garage door opener and referred them to others based on their quality service.  I'll continue to do so.

    SHEcan2
windows and areas of the roof were not properly flashed by previous contractors and  we had
occasional leaks and dry rot damage. SHEcan2 employees fixed the problem. This is the second
time we've used this contractor and would use them again and recommend them. Highest
quality of work. Punctual and professional. The best.

Very well. All items were measured and made to order to fit this old house. The products and workmanship were excellent. The workers were jovial and pleasant to have around. I could not be more pleased with everything that was done and the workers who did the work plus the salesmen who came out in the beginning. All appointments were kept and on time. Quality all around, products and installation. The house is much cooler and way more soundproof plus it looks great.

    A to Z Chimney Services
We are quite pleased with the doors.  However, the process getting them was difficult.  The service really wasn't that great.  First of all, the owner didn't get the estimate to the office for about three days.  I made two or three calls to the office to get the estimate.  I finally made the commitment and gave them half of the money, and they came out with the doors within about two weeks.  The doors didn't fit.  The owner had taken the wrong measurements.  They called me to say that the doors hadn't arrived.  Finally, I got the doors installed, and they are just fine.  The workmanship is fine.  I'm pleased with the doors; they do what they're supposed to do.

    J Ratch Construction Inc
After Jeff came over to make measurements I went to Home Depot to order the doors I wanted.  One was in stock and the other was back east and had to be shipped so I had it delivered directly to the house.  Jeff and I kept in contact via text messaging where I sent him updates on when the door was expected to arrive, when the hardware was received, so we could coordinate when he would do the work.  We decided on a Thursday, Jeff picked the other door up from the Home Depot and had them installed by the end of the day.  He also insulated around the doors and put the trim back on that could be replaced.  I asked him not to worry too much about finishing details on trim because there is a lot of remodeling to happen on this house.  He put all the new hardware on the doors and cut the opening in the back door and installed the dog door.

After the doors, he inspected the inside of the roof and made a minor repair.

Overall, Jeff communicated well, showed up on time, did the work very well, cleaned up afterward and I found him very easy to work with.

    Jerry Woodward
I hired Jerry to be my "on-call" handyman for my rental property in West Sacramento. I used him on two occasions, and recently decided to find someone else because of t(1) - although he seems capable of good work he doesn't actually do the work. He hires cheap laborers to do the work, and charges rates that you expect to pay for skilled labor. (2) - although he hires cheap laborers to do the work (pays them about $10/hr), he charges EXTREMELY high hourly rates ($50-$95/hr). He's making a huge profit.(3) he does not provide cost estimates prior to beginning work. He only gives you a bill when the work is complete. When you question this practice, he says he doesn't have time to deal with estimates.(4) he is EXTREMELY unprofessional. He recently charged me $400 for a relatively simple fence repair that took one of his day laborers 2.5 hours to complete. When I asked why he didn't give me a cost estimate before he started the work and questioned the charges, his reply started with "Whatever...".  He made it clear that he didn't need my business, and therefore didn't have time for my complaints/concerns.(5) He's spread a bit thin and can't seem to remember details. Very scattered. Long story short.......if you hire this guy, be prepared to pay ridiculously high rates for poor service, average workmanship, and a ton of attitude. You need him, but definitely doesn't need you or your business. Beware.

    OMG Diversified Door & Lock
Overall, we are satisfied with this company. There were a few bumps in the road, which the company did work to fix. My initial call to the company was not returned, which I later learned was due to an illness. Not knowing about the illness, I still chose to call again due to the overwhelmingly positive reviews on this website. A free consultation was promptly scheduled. Paul was polite, knowledgeable and thorough and he informed us of the various options we could pursue. He told us that the estimate would be coming the next day. It took a few days, but it did arrive (we were later informed that it took longer to look up certain parts that were not locally available). The prices were fair and we selected the one that seemed to fit in with the rest of the house best. We scheduled a time for installation on a convenient date. The installer who came on the chosen date was about a half hour off of the given time. It would not have been a huge problem, however after an hour or so of work, it was realized that the current frame/door combo was not the correct size and would have to be redone. We had to reschedule for a different day. After an email to the company, Paul apologized profusely and took full responsibility. He then proceeded to reschedule on a Saturday (I'm not actually sure if they normally work Saturdays, but they were willing to work with us on the first available date we had). This was much appreciated on our part. On the given Saturday, Randy arrived promptly on-time, and installed a great looking door on a sturdy frame. The transom above looks excellent as well. We are very satisfied with the result, and despite the earlier rough patches, think the company did a good job.
