    Valvoline instant oil change
    If Valvoline has its way this oil change - originally billed at $30 - will cost me over $1300.00. I went into the 4359 Sunset Blvd Valvoline to get an oil change. Everyone was friendly and they got the job done quickly. I left the place feeling that they had done a good job. But when I got home I noticed oil drips on my driveway. I took it to my mechanic and he said they had damaged the threads in the oil pan by screwing the plug in crooked. He tried to re-thread it but said it was so badly damaged he doesn't think it will hold for another oil change. (He is not a backyard mechanic - he worked at a dealership for 20 years and was trained in Germany.) There is no easy fix for this - I looked - a lot - the only acceptable solution is to replace the oil pan. And the minimum price that I found for this was $1330.69. The other shops I went to were higher. If I went to the dealer it'd be over $2500. This isn't just my car - other cars are higher. I called Valvoline customer service twice and each time they told me that because I had my mechanic try to fix it that they had no responsibility. I posted a review in Yelp and someone contacted me. I thought they were going to try to resolve this . NO! ONLY KIDDING!! They sent me back to customer service where I was now told that my mechanic had caused the damage. No, my mechanic had fixed what they broke. I even asked if I could bring it back to Valvoline and they could see for themselves. NO! They wouldn't do that. This, if anything, shows their attitude. They tell me the problem was that I didn't bring it back to them and now when I offer to they refuse. Back at the Sunset Blvd location they also refused to take responsibility, telling me as well that my oil pan was not intended to last this long anyway - which is NOT TRUE according to several dealers and mechanics - some laughed when they heard this. I asked to get the number of the area manager - politely - and they refused to give it to me. And no, he didn't want to get back to me. So the Valvoline rule is "we break it and you pay for it." When I drove in there the car was fine. When I left it wasn't. According to Valvoline that's my fault. Getting your oil changed seems simple. Who could screw up threading a bolt back into a housing? And if you think they'll actually take responsibility for their mistakes, guess again.

    Beware of this "Nice Guy".
    This place is a total scam. I advise to take your business elsewhere. It will be well worth your drive from here.
    I brought my car in for a smog test at the request of the DMV. This car has Never failed a smog test in all of the years that I have been getting the required tests every 2 years. Well, this time it "Failed" the test here at this location. I asked Bob why it failed and he said that I needed to do some work on it and bring it back for another test and that would cost me $35. I was confused as to why it had failed and so he had me talk to his mechanic. The mechanic was giving me a very basic answer so I pressed him for more clarity. He finally admitted that the car  passed, but that it was his "Visual inspection" that prompted him to fail the car.
    So since this mechanic had already done something to "Reset the computer" I went through almost an entire month of attempts to drive the car many many miles to reset the computer the way this mechanic, and Bob told me to do after the required work was completed. I finally suspected that their advise was bad and so I took the car to the Dealer service dept. who immediately gave me the correct advise and fixed the issue with the computer.
    I then took the car back to Bob (such a nice guy) and he said that I was next in line. I sat and watched as 4 customers were taken ahead of me. While I was sitting in the office waiting almost an hour.. I witnessed Bob turning back (failing) 5 customers cars with a smile on his face (probably counting all of the extra $35 he was going to make when the unsuspecting people brought their cars back for a re-test).

    Had seen this shop in the past as I've driven past it a few times, so when I needed a break change I remembered Morris Auto motive and decided to let them change my breaks. They were great never had a problem they did take take a bit more time than I thought  but the job they did was excellent and they did it at a reasonable price.

    The price is good. They were very polite but I could have used some more information about what they did. They were on time. They were stickler than I thought. They actually overestimated. They said I would be there for 3 hours, but maybe I was there for an hour and a half. I just felt like a customer in the front desk.

    We needed to upgrade to a Toyota Sienna Le, a friend had highly recommended William Phan at Longo Toyota.  I decided to give him a call and e-mail, we worked out the numbers and trade in and he was able to get me a great deal, I was in and out within 2 hours...not like the usual 5 hour ordeal I had before.

    I regret not getting my car serviced here before. I came in because my car was making weird noises, and I knew from taking it to the dealer and other mechanics that there were a lot of problems. When I got my car back it was running like new. Eddy charged me a fair price compared to what other mechanics had quoted me. Also he pointed out the most urgent thing for me to have done unlike other mechanics who tried to get me to fix other things that didn't remedy the problem and charged a way too much. 
    I recommend this place to anyone with car problems. Thank you!

    I have been going to this facility for 4-5 years. They do not push unnecessary repairs and will fix small things for free. They are very trustworthy and reliable. It is easy to get my vehicle into them.

    Honest and punctual. Prices are always as expected and my car is always ready when they say it will be. The shop doesn't have the typical misogynistic feel of other mechanic shops, which is a nice extra. I'd highly recommend.

    my 4Runner SUV's deteriorated and they even planed the heads to ASE specifications.  After they reassembled the engine, Luise, said its working fine but its not a perfect job and that it was his creed to not let me take the vehicle until he did the job over - meanwhile he lent me his shiny new beamer for a few days and then my 4runner was roadworthy and I will do business with Luigis Garage again.  I think you will like the service.
