    We have done several remodels before including a $300K full house remodel back in 2015 that took 3 month and involved a Civil Engineer. So we are pretty experienced in dealing with contractors. Now, this is not the horror story where contractor takes your money and disappears. To be fair, MC Construction is a legitimate business. They will get the work done, eventually. But this process, oh man, I don't know where to even begin. Let's just say that my perfectionist Virgo husband used to have pretty severe OCD. This remodeling project cured him. All jokes aside, I rarely write bad reviews, but these people are reaching our limit of patience. I highly doubt how they got so many 5 star reviews. This is a $125K project. We signed the contract on 5/17/2018 and left plenty of time for it to be finished by 7/31 (At one time, they thought it'll be done by 7/10). Since I'm pregnant and due in Sept, they promised me everything will be done by 7/31 with 5 exclamation marks at the end. Now it's already 8/24 and we are still going through this trial and tribulation, living in a rental (3+ months now) with no end in sight. The project manager's name is Ron. To get the job, he would paint such a wonderful picture of how smoothly the project will go with him in charge. Oh how were we treated to surprises after surprises. Promise 1: All the workers working on our house will be the company's own crew. Promise 2: They will treat our house with the outmost respect. Everything will be protected. When their worker leaves by day's end, everything will be cleaned up Promise 3: The worker will come every day at 8 am and leave at 5 pm during week days until the project is finished. Promise 4: They will produce the highest quality of work. Ron claims that he is extremely detailed and that even my husband cannot be more detailed than him. What we got: 1. He subcontracted everything out: the painter, plumber, electrician, and carpenter. Most of them have barely worked with MC construction. Our project is either the first time that they used this carpenter 2. No dumpster was rented for construction waste. Our garage and driveway were their dumpster. We got repeated warning from our HoA. I kept telling them to remove the trash but nothing happened! My washer and dryer stored in the garage are now severely scratched and damaged. Someone even stepped on the dryer when using it as a ladder, leaving a huge dent. 3. At the beginning, we trusted Ron and didn't follow the progress closely. In July, we got worried and started to check the house 2-3 times a week. To our surprise, no one was there most of the week! I called Ron every day to try to get the updates. He always promises everything will be on track and then do NOTHING. There are 3 weeks with NO ONE working because of the ridiculous reason that they are waiting for the baseboard?!! Until we had a very uncomfortable conversation with Ron at end of July, things started to move a little faster. Maybe 2-3 days a week, you will get a full crew. The house is still not in livable condition. Lots of stuff missing and damaged! Toilet not installed. Today (8/24) the inspector came, and Ron is not there. My husband met the inspector and learned to our horror that we might not pass electrical inspection! 4. The job is SLOPPY. Everything had to be constantly adjusted. The paint on the barn door are full of bubbles and drips. They installed a prefab floating vanity crooked. One side is higher than the other by almost 1 inch! Ron first tells me that it is leveled. When we insisted, his guy adjusted only the backsplash to be level. Then it became even more obvious with a ~1" gap between the backsplash and the countertop on one side and no gap on the other. He just filled the gap with cement and tells us that there is nothing more he can do. After a long argument, he finally agreed to adjust the vanity. Any responsible contractor seeing such big screw-up and will automatically fix it. With Ron, we had to fight and argue With Ron, it is a combination of inexperience and EXTREME irresponsibility. To give an example, our rangerhood is installed crooked. Ron told us on 8/21 that we have to wait 6 days to get it fixed because the handyman who did the job is on vacation and he already paid him. Wow! With 21 days over a 2 month project, any responsible contractor's first priority would be to finish the work. No one is monitoring the project. Ron would come at most 2 days/wk. And stay perhaps 2 hrs. Whenever we see him, he's either on the phone or working on his computer. No one is checking the works. The subcontractors are just managing themselves. Things go missing all the time. The plumber couldn't install the wall-hung toilet because of missing parts. He had to look everywhere and found them in the trash can! Now, my husband don't go to work anymore. Instead, he goes to the house everyday to manage the workers and hope they can get it done ASAP.

    Scheduling and communication with scheduler was the only problem. Wanted before Xmas--no appt available. Told her I wanted outlet and light installed, only outlet communicated to the installers. However they arrived on time and I explained scope of work to them--no problem. Work performed quickly and neatly, so far everything working well.

    Realizing that the provider I previously hired to fix and replace my kitchen lights would not respond to my call, I sent a request for appointment with Excellence Electric.  Raymond came on the same day and checked the lights and electrical connections. I told him my LED kitchen lights had been installed just a year ago but already showing signs of giving up (they flickered). I asked Raymond for an estimated cost to replace the electrical panel and the kitchen lights. There were other issues that came to light as Raymond and his crew started the job of upgrading the panel. Excellence Electric undertook the following work:
     - Raymond replaced the 2 kitchen lights free of labor charge.
     - His crew, Ray (his son) and Manuel installed the attic light and safety boxes to cover live wires ( I am grateful that Raymond pointed out the hazard).
     - Raymond personally explained in great detail, the steps involved in upgrading the electrical panel. such as the required SCE approval, city permit, and final city inspection post installation. He was on top of things and was constantly in touch with his crew and me during the entire project.
     - After the panel was installed and inspected, Ysmael worked on the stucco surrounding the panel. It is worth mentioning that the stucco was expertly done.  It blended with the rest of the house.
    I want to thank Raymond and his crew for an excellent job. They were prompt, responsive, and they showed expertise..  They are true to their name, Excellence Electric. I will definitely use them in the future.

    The only criticism I would make is that Kyle assigned the job to just one man, Gregorio, who is absolutely tops in workmanship, knowledge and professionalism.  The job took Gregorio 2 and 1/2 days...with a helper he could have completed the job easily in less that 2 days.  Certainly, I would recommend Kyle Beym Home Improvements to my friends.

    I believe the technician is the son of the owner. The fixtures had been replaced in 2011 and the electronic switch was less than a year old. He figured out that one of the ballasts was bad, so he replaced it. He said it was probably defective from the factory. He also determined that the electronic switch was not working correctly, so he replaced it with a new electronic timer switch. I am happy with the quality of the work and with the reasonable cost.

    Aaron (and his office assistant Nancy) were very patient.  Once we received the quote to have the paint done, it took 4 months before we could get to the actual painting part.  Nancy called every couple of weeks, asking first if I wanted to check back and asking when would work for me.  She called like clockwork.   However, she never seemed to mind me having to say once again we were waiting for some repairs to still be done.  Finally the house was ready to be painted.  I setup an appointment with Aaron, the owner, to be sign the contract and show him what colors I wanted.  He was very meticulous in the details of how we wanted the 3 colors on our house as we didn't have shutters.  From then on it was like clockwork.  Aaron gave me the approximate start dates and how long the painting would take and he was also building a aluminum vinyl patio for us to replace our rotted one.  The men arrived on time with Aaron also there.  They reviewed how I wanted it painted as far as the colors and went to work.  The paint job was phenomenal.  They painted everything neatly.  They painted not only our house, but our dog house, our mailbox, the flowerbed, our built-in barbecue,two gates, part of our fence that was wood, our front porch light and hand painted our bear statute on the front porch.  They added an extra man on the job to get done a day early because of a storm that was due in.  Aaron was trying to get everything done before Christmas.  When they finished painting our house looked brand new.  After that Aaron called to setup a date to install the porch they built.  It was beautiful.  It went farther around our house than the old one which was slats and was rotting.  Everything is amazing.  When I drive up to our house I slow before I open the garage door to look at it again.  I cannot believe what a transformation with just paint!  :)

    WOW!! What can I say besides sorry I took so long to write this review. Tim and April are the best and there's reasons why they're rated the best of the best. I had a complete pool remodel job done. They were very nice and patient from the start to the end. April first walked me thru all the items that was need and worked well around my schedule. She also made some good recommendations. Tim made many trips prior and after the job to ensure perfection! His crew was also very efficient. I appreciate everything they have done and we love our new pool. I do wished that i had gone darker with the plastering but overall I'm so so happy I had picked The Pool Guys R & R ....great job Tim and April... I will call you for my next project!

    The installation scheduling  was  done, as promised on Angie's list, within  a short time after I visited Angie's List., I received a phone call the day before the installation. The Installers were on time, explained everything well and the installation process was done within 2 to 3 hours.  The Installers set the timer for the lights to  my satisfaction.
    Also, I accidentally repaid my 10% down payment again by accident. A short phone call to the boss solved the problem within 6 days. Today, I received a refund check for the mistakenly overpaid amount. Fast action of ADI/s accounting Department was very much appreciated and is, otherwise, unheard of with other big accounting firms. I can highly recommend ADI Electric and will use ADI again for any future electrical work on my home.
