Juan, the service technician, was very thorough! Out of three other companies that had mis diagnosed the problem, he was the only one that took the time to check everything and figure out what was really wrong with the air conditioner.

I pay $7.95 a month. I got the member package. Once a year they come out and service the furnace, and now once a year they come out and service the water heater tank. They do a good job. They really tear out that furnace.

It took longer than they said it would take. They didn't show up on the day they were supposed to finish the job. They quit on the last day at 3 and said they would come back the next day and never did. They failed to connect the gas line to the fireplace, which was in the contract for the $3995.00. We also had to call the gas company to fix a leak connecting the gas line to the flat range stove in our unit. We informed them and it was like it was no big deal to them. Now we have turned on the furnace, which as part of the job they were supposed to fix and now it doesn't work. What we found was some masking tape put over the button which was not there before. I have called them four or five times and they say they are coming out and are sorry, and never show up. They act surprised each time we call and they act clueless. They used plumbers tape on the gas range, and we were told by the gas company that fixed the leak that they are not supposed to use that type of tape - which they should know. I called them today and there was no one available. Each time before they said they were sending someone out and never did.

We had a baby last November and over the summer we noticed that her nursery was a lot warmer than the rest of the house.  I called Steve's via referral to see what we can do to get some more air up in her nursery.  A young gentleman came by the same day i called to check things out and said he needed to speak with his supervisor to go over the different options of what we can do.  The next evening i got a call from Steve and he gave me two options.  One of them being that we replace our unit with a larger unit as the old unit was on its last leg and too small to power enough air upstairs in our 3,800 sqft house.  We got the upgrade with a few additional perks like an attic fan to cool the upstairs overall, new wifi thermostats (my husband LOVES it), air duct cleaning, and even a couple UV lights that kills/neutralizes allergens that are pumped through the duct system? (first time we've heard of this)  I mean we got the whole package and we're super happy with the results!  Our daughter sleeps like a dream and my allergies aren't gone but i hardly sneeze inside the house anymore.  It was a hefty price tag but we feel well equipped for the Californian summer, indian summer, and random heat waves for some time to come.  I'm sure we wont have to call them again anytime soon, but we'll def be referring them to our friends!

AIR CARESAVER Air Conditioning & Heating
If you are in need of HVAC maintenance in Walnut, CA or surrounding areas, you can rely on Air Caresaver Air Conditioning and Heating.  They have been in the industry for more than a decade and have been doing HVAC maintenance for our units for almost 5 years. We never had any trouble dealing with their technicians, and HVAC units have never failed us. What I really appreciate about their team is their professionalism. They are certainly a company you can rely on for any of your HVAC concerns.

Perfect! Jack is very friendly and professional. He arrived and did his job exactly when he said he would and finished on time. Our AC now works better than it ever has, throughout our whole house. We are so happy to have found Subzero.

I was not satisfied with the service. The provider was at my home for only 5 - 10 minutes. I asked if he had gone through the 22 point inspection during that short time and his response was that my furnace was old and the full inspection did not apply. He did not even run the furnace to see if it was operating properly. I have no idea what he checked because he did not provide any inspection checklist to indicate what was checked. Angie's List should not post these misleading offers of a good deal because this particular contractor, in my opinion, did not provide a bonafide furnace inspection and cleaning for $39. Once he realized there was no additional work he could get from this job, he packed up and left. This will be my last time I will go for these misleading and deceptive offers.

It was a good job done by this company from the time I called to schedule an appointment to the job done on itself. The only thing I would say that is not a big deal but was keeping it from being perfect is that the technician was a bit late but since it was only a little late I don't  think it's a big deal. Everything else went perfect again great job thank you for the help.

The cost reflects an Angie's Big Deal of $79.50 worth of service for $49.00 which the lady with whom I made the appointment suggested I purchase, saving $30.50. Last year, I got an A/C tune up from a different company with an Angie's coupon for $48.00. This year's tune up cost more, but was worth it because it was more thorough. Alan took electrical readings at various points on both the unit in the garage and the outdoor unit. He changed the filter. He measured the temperature of the air coming out of the registers. He measured the amount of freon in the system and cleaned the fins on the outdoor unit with a nozzle on a garden hose. I was happy with the quality of the work for both the A/C and the plumbing. He made an effort to work as cleanly as possible.
He was easy to talk to. I suspect I saved money by getting both A/C work and plumbing work done at the same time as opposed to paying for two service calls. I thought the overall cost was very reasonable.
