    After researching online about Safe and Sound Security and Monitronics made an appointment with Brian Jaime to meet at 6pm. Brain was on time for the appointment and very professional. Brian was polite, respectful, not pushy, transparent, and explained the packages and what is best suited for our home. He was a good listener too which something you may not see in some of the business developers. I know instead of calling Brian a sales person I called him a Business developer this is because a sales man or woman is only interested in selling his product for a certain price and bad mouths other competition. When I mentioned to Brian that I have been talking to other outfits, he explained the difference in service and methods of business operation between them and the others. His first point was all about quality. Safe and Sound located out of Walnut Creek has been the #1 dealer in quality aspect for the last 5 years. This impressed the heck out of me as myself  working in a big Corporation where we internally compete every year to bag the top spot in quality and I will tell you that is not easy. Therefore with him defining what he and his team brings and the value of it from others definitely made him get my contract.



    I signed into their standard 3 year contract for a reasonable price for the package I got. I am writing this review at this time and giving Safe and Sound Security 5 stars for their professional approach towards developing their business, transparency, quality, genuine interest towards their customers.  



    They are a local outfit and the way this outfit works is, the contract, equipment installation, maintenance, and any trouble shoot calls will be handled by Safe and Sound Security team in house. you call their local customer support number during normal business hours of Mon - Sat 8 am to 9 pm and on other hours the call is answered by Monitronics and a ticket is issued and forwarded to Safe and Sound for action. you can call and if you are local you can walk into their office to request service. Being local is a plus for me. Monitronics renders 24/7 monitoring support. However, your contract is with Safe and Sound security.



    Safe and Sound have been around for 8 years and to bag 5 years of #1 spot in quality service is great achievement and I expect that same service moving forward :) So far my experience has been great, have scheduled installation with tech today. will update my review with the installation experience and my future experience with this team

    Parts of upgrading was easy, and parts was a nightmare. I had trouble getting someone out to upgrade my thermostat. I had to go to the ADT's corporate office and complain. One morning I had a regional rep on the front porc,h a tech, the electrician, and corporate on the phone all at the same time. It was a comedy of errors! With the problems, I was supposed to get 6 mos free service, and I just got a bill!

    Security One was great from start to finish.  When I called to set up the appointment, they were really nice and were able to get someone out ASAP, and around the time I was available (impressive given that we were scheduling them for a Saturday).  The guy they sent out was really personable and nice.  He talked to us about what we needed, and then was able to substitute other items in for things we wouldn't need.  For example, they gave us an extra remote alarm because we didn't need as many door/window sensors. 
    The install took about 1.5 hours.  He was available to answer questions if we needed him, but mostly minded his own business and got things set up.  Afterward, he was very patient with us and showed us how to use everything.
    So far, so good.  I feel much more at ease with the system set up.  Price-wise, we found that this was about what we were going to pay no matter who we used.

    After I called to explain what happened, SimpliSafe figured out to keep one order and ship it  immediately.  They did email to see if assistance was needed for installation.  Unfortunately, there is construction going on in our home right now, so, it will be several weeks out until we attempt to install and turn on.

    I have been an ADT customer for over 20 years and they get worse every year. If I could afford to replace my system I would in a heartbeat. They made THREE appointments which they did not show up for because the tech was "running late.". I finally complained to the corporate office back east, and they made a Saturday appointment so I wouldn't miss any more work. They then had the utter nerve to call, say the tech couldn't make it yet again, but would come if I paid TWO HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS!!! After calling the following. Monday, I finally got the customer service manager, who finally got a tech to my house. Bottom line, their commercials look great, but their service is terrible. Don't bother.

    If I could give them an F- I would!!!  I took off of work with the promise I would have the FIRST appointment of the day - 8:00 a.m. At 9:30 a.m., I called and they couldn't find the technician.  Finally, at 10:45 he showed.  After an hour he repeatedly said "Um, I don't know."  He called into the office.  He called tech support.  He finally said "I don't know - you have to have a senior tech come out and figure it out.  But I can change the battery."  This is after I lost a half day's pay.  I was assured that someone would call me "right away" to schedule the senior tech appointment.

    FIFTEEN MINUTES after he left, the battery prompt came on again!!!  This guy couldn't even change a battery correctly!  I waited an hour, and no one called me.  I called them - and the customer rep said she was "escalating" the call and I would hear from the manager "right away."  By 8:00 THE NEXT NIGHT I still had not heard from ADT.  I called yet again, and was told that a senior tech could not come out for another TWO AND A HALF WEEKS!!!

    Not only am I without monitoring to the central office (which I am paying a very high monthly bill for), I am in danger of having a blaring alarm go off for who knows how long once the battery fails.  All because ADT cares nothing for their customers, refuses to pay someone to stay a little late or come in on their day off to take care of a problem of ADT's making (by sending a tech who knew nothing about fixing their own equipment), and doesn't understand the meaning of customer service.

    I am a TWENTY YEAR customer of ADT's, and have paid my bill faithfully.  No more.

    All I can say is DO NOT, under any circumstances, purchase an ADT monitoring system.  They are happy to take your money, but they will never take care of you once they have suckered you into a system they cannot fix when it breaks.

    Reed was a little slow in responding to my initial email, and then response was basically "call us".  The gentleman that came out to give me a quote was helpful and clear in his explanations.  I was concerned about a long term committment on monitoring and he and the owner worked with me on this, which I appreciate.  The technician installing the equipment was very knowledgeable but had some issues with responsiveness with the main office on monitoring setup so the installation took longer than expected.

    I had some issues with the accounting office on acknowledgement of the 1st 6 months monitoring fee I paid when I initially agreed to the installation, but they eventually found it and were apologetic.  I've only had to phone the monitoring service once with a question but they were very helpful.  I think this is a good company overall and I like that they're local.

    The installation was quick and easy (~40 minutes for my whole house) and the set up and testing (w/ Frontpoint on the phone) was another 20-30. I went from no alarm to full house alarm system in less than 1.5 hours.

    I did have some issues w/ two of the sensors losing connectivity and beeping loudly, but Frontpoint identified the issue quickly and sent me stronger replacement transmitters.

    The installation was about $1500 and the service from then on has been $37 a month. I have no complaints at all. They were fine. The technicians who came out were very nice and very professional. We would be using their services in the future too.
