    I arrived a few minutes early and immediately we were taken to an exam room after he was weighed. Dr. Watanabe came in and spent quite a long time with Coco. She had blood work done and called me the next day with results that were favorable. She gave him pain medication and antibiotics for his teeth. We scheduled an appt. to take him in again for that after he would be done with antibiotics. Coco and I both liked everyone there. He went willingly with the girl to have the bloodwork done. He was back within a few minutes. Everyone was helpful and knowledgeable. I feel good about taking him back here and glad we found a doctor close to home we trust.

    I hate being there, it's annoying. I just hate it when I have to go. The vet interacts like you would expect nothing out of the way nor extraordinary, just typical that I have experienced for years,  nothing special, just what you go in there and pay for in other words. The wait is usually about 20 minutes.

    jessie was our groomer and she was very good---we had five specific things we wanted done to Chester[a white schnaunzer] and Jessie complied with our wishes and in addition cleaned out extra hair between the toes,in the ears,around his rear and  those dreaded matted areas. Also,she checked and trimmed toenails where needed. we are very happy with our newly groomed dog/person! Thank you.

    Dogs On The Run
    I called the main Dogs on the Run number, and within a few minutes, received a message back from the coordinating service, and within a few hours, from my local contact, Diana.  Diana was able to quickly and efficiently arrange service, discuss the details, and arrange a time where she could see my house and visit with my cat. Then when I was away, she sent me texts daily with photos of my cat. When I returned, we quickly arranged a time to get my key and receive payment for the services. They return the key when you pay, which makes sense for both parties involved. Diana was very caring with my cat, and I felt secure knowing that he was well cared for. On both the set up and then the back end for payment/ getting my key, I had to make a change due to my schedule, and she was easily understanding and accommodating. She was friendly and I immediately took to her. I will absolutely use her again. The price was right (literally within $5 total of what I would have offered if someone asked me).

    I believe unnecessary tests where run on my cat and dog. We recently moved to area my dog was not eating,diarrhea ran every test in book, she recovered in 2 days. My dog was seen regularly by a vet, never paid this amount of money before. Found Vista Vet Hospital, great doctor, and she does not over charge. Very compassionate .

    I've been going to Aloha for about 15 years and have always been very happy with the care my dogs have received.  Dr. Abella is my usual vet and he's awesome, though Dr. Z and Dr. K are excellent also.

    Pacific Animal Hospital
    After Dr. Foltz looked at the x-rays and started the dental cleaning, he discovered that three teeth were abscessed and three had significant problems. The dental technician called to inform me that Dr. Foltz recommended removing all 6 teeth; they sought approval for the additional costs. They called to let me know how Harley was doing during the surgery. They also called later to let me know that Harley had recovered from the anesthesia and when I could pick him up. They gave me printed instructions on how to care for Harley at home, including giving him his post-surgery medications.. Dr. Foltz called the day after the surgery to answer my questions about Harley's post-surgical condition, which was very reassuring. For the first four days Harley was home, a staff member also called to check on him, which I really appreciated. . We went back after two weeks for a check-up. Since the sutures were bothering Harley, Dr. Foltz removed them, rather than wait for them to dissolve. Harley is feeling much better now!

    I also want to provide some general comments about Pacific Animal Hospital.

    When I moved to this area, I took my dogs to three veterinary practices before I settled on Pacific Animal Hospital. One important factor in my decision was the fact that they are accredited by the AAHA (the American Animal Hospital Association) which means the hospital facilities and staff have been reviewed and passed the highest standards in veterinary care. They were evaluated on approximately 900 standards of veterinary excellence in order to become accredited. To me, that is very impressive!!!

    In addition:
    The desk staff is helpful; several times they have fit us in the schedule the day I called for an appointment. The vet technicians are excellent. I've seen several vets and all have been very knowledgeable. They answer all my questions. I feel the quality of care they give is outstanding and that they really care about my pets and their well-being.

    SYDNEES PET GROOMING
    Last year we added a couple of new puppies to our family. These dogs are the first we've had that require professional grooming. For convenience we tried a few places close to home but the dogs came back with itchy skin, or funky looking cuts, once the nails had not even been trimmed. So after some research I took them to Sydnee's. The drive was a little bit further, but well worth it. The groomers were professional. They took the time to ask and listen to what I wanted done to the dogs. They were clear on the price and time it would take. They have half a dozen groomers working there so I took in 3dogs and picked them up 3hours later. I like the fact that there are so many people, maybe a half dozen groomers, that really seem to care about the animals working there together. I worry about some of the smaller places where only one or two people are there and things look and sound like chaos. The people and pets here seem calm and happy to be there, we'll cared for. The dogs look great, smell great , and did not have that traumatized energy that I've felt at some other places.

    We adopted a shelter dog knowing that she was a senior citizen.  The shelter probably would have put her down that very day we adopted her since they noted a lump (breast cancer) during their exam.  We thought it was not her time so we took her home.  We cared for Daisy and she had a very good 3+ more years with us.  However, as Daisy aged she developed multiple health problems.  And yet she continued to seem to enjoy life and loved her familar routine.  We gave Daisy hospice.  But then the turning point came the week of the fires.  Daisy health issues become more severe and fire danger very real.  Other vet clinics were busy but Dr. Morris came to work early in order to help us finally see Daisy have a peaceful end.   We are very grateful to Dr. Morris and her entire caring staff.
