    DM Building Inc
DM Building is a great, fair, professional, and reliable company.  We had a big project, and Dany's team was awesome, kept the project on time, and did top quality, reliable work throughout.  They also allowed us to work with them on certain items, and were also very honest throughout the project on multiple aspects.  DM Building crew exceeded our expectations in terms of reliability and accountability.  The quality of the build is fantastic and overall they did an amazing job on our house.  Hire these guys if you want honest and "piece of mind" quality professional work done on you property.  We'd recommend them in a heart beat, as it's rare that you find a contractor like this...

Neighborhood Garage Door Service of San Diego

I was not present I talked to the repairman on the phone, my wife was home and dealt directly with the repairman and paid his bill, she said he was polite and finished the job quickly.

    1. Repairman started trying to sell my wife and me a new garage door, ours is too heavy he said.  We have had this door for 10 years without prior problem.

    2. I explained I only wanted the opener repaired, we would consider door replacement later.  1 of the 2 springs on the door opener was broken and I agreed we should replace both which, I thought, would be approximately $400.  I did not ask for a estimate, which I should have.

    3. He did not give my wife a receipt, told her it would be sent to me on line, however, she paid him when he said the service was completed.

    4. When I returned home I checked my e-mail and it was there, more than 7 pages for a simple repair and I cannot tell for sure if he installed used parts or not but from the look of the receipt he did.  You will find it unbelievable for such a simple job, you cannot print all of the receipt.

    5. NO. I WILL NOT USE THEM AGAIN, and if friends ask about them I will tell them of my experience.

    Stephen W. Hansink, Construction
Steve is an outstanding builder. His work is of the highest quality I have seen. We have an early 70s home (or used to be). Four years ago we were referred to him by a contractor fried when we wanted to expand and remodel the kitchen. We ended up (with Steve's help) remodeling the kitchen, living room and hall. Whether through careless construction, or simply the simple process of aging, the ceilings in our home were noticeably uneven at the intersection of the walls with the ceiling. Yet Steve was able to put up crown molding in such a manner that it followed that uneven contour invisibly leaving a straight line along the base of the molding. Between the kitchen and dining room, he joined two different sizes and shapes of crown molding at a 90 degree intersection  seamlessly. His work floored us.
That's why we had him do the back half of our home this year. We were so happy with his work four years ago that we began planning to have Steve do this second phase as soon as we could rebuild our cash reserves. Steve is so pleasant to have around that the only disappointment we felt four years ago was that he would no longer have him around every day after he finished. (We'd adopt him if we could :-)
We couldn't give a person a higher recommendation than Steve. He not only did what we wanted done, but he has the skill and creativeness to enhance the appearance and utility of whatever one needs done. Did we spend more than originally anticipated? Yes (embracing the enhancements he showed us that could be done). But the next question you should ask is, do we have buyer's remorse? Quite the contrary. We wouldn't have had Steve back for the second round if we hadn't been more than pleased with his ideas and the results of his work the first time.
By the way, Steve's second love is plants - specifically cycads, exotic palms, etc. He runs a nursery thereof. Besides remodeling the back half of the home, we had him landscape the property. It's beautiful and will require about a quarter of the water we had been using.
If you are looking for someone to get a simple job done as cheaply as possible, Steve would be overkill - you really don't need his skills. But if you are looking for someone who will be a pleasure to work with, is highly skilled, does extremely high quality work, and if you (like we) want someone who has the creative ideas you may lack to not merely get the work done, but enhance its value to you and who will leave you very happy, hire Steve!

By that time, my garage door needed more than a tune-up and I needed it serviced ASAP. I phoned a local garage door company and they set an appointment for 11am. He did an excellent job and I will write a separate review of them.

    ECS Construction Inc.
After submitting some rough drawings to Eric Stephens of ECS Construction, we worked to develop a very practical and convenient storage shed and animal enclosure area.  Since the area is on a hillside, Eric designed the area with a retaining wall and drainage to ensure that the pens would remain dry during the rainy season.   Eric and his crew listened to my suggestions and needs, and included some very helpful input and suggestions of  their own.  They even matched the roof line, color, and roofing material to my home!   The project went very well, and I now have a shed for all my animal feed and gardening tools, as well as perfect pens for my animals! They are happy, and so am I !

    ECS Construction Inc.
The project went very well, and the result is a home that I really love ! Eric pays close attention to detail and takes pride in his work. He communicates well and promptly returns phone calls and emails. He is willing to work with you to find the best solutions to your construction needs and your budgetary constraints. He did such an awesome job, I recently hired him again for a second project.
