Water Softener Installation And Repair reviews in Ventura

AAA Paradise Plumbing & Rooter, Inc.

This company installed faucets in my home. After they had left (and after cleaning their mess) I took a shower, and there was no pressure in the hot water, and the bathroom basin had no running water. I called them back and only the basin water was fixed.

The hot water runs better, but is still not what it was.

A few days after the second visit, I noticed that the grout around the base of the tap they had installed was not grout but plumbers putty.

It had collapsed  and left a hole and a quarter inch of improperly positioned and poorly cut tile (and it looks ugly).

I had to call in another plumber and a handyman to get this fixed. This is a poor company.

    A-1 Water Softener Services
Service was excellent. This was like a fourth water softener that I had put in and it was only about 5 years old and he said that he it had basically rotted down to the rods and that had gotten into my water lines and he would recommend just throwing that one out and that he had a unit that is very efficient and he recommend that if we wanted to replace it and not have to go through this again and another three or four years that he thought that his unit would work better and we went along with that and it seems to be working great. Scheduling was great. He came out and took a look at what we had and I think he had his superior product in the truck and when I agreed to replace it then he gave it the same day working fine ever since. He gave me an honest assessment of what the problem was. He gave me a good solution to it. He quickly came out to take a look at things assess thing accurately, had a good solution and performed the service for reasonable price.

I had an existing water softener that I purchased from another company 11 years ago which began to have significant issues over the last few months.   Sensing that I did not purchase the right product the first time I was dedicated to spend as much time as possible researching my replacement options and available technologies.  The first part of my research was to contact local vendors and get information on available products and arrange to have them come out to my house to explain to me in basic terms how their systems would improve on my previous unit.  This was very interesting because there was no middle ground among all the companies.  Each gave me a different explanation of what I would need and how much it would cost.  I did find the time invested in this was well worth my time as I moved to the next step in my research.
The second part of my research was to dig in to the internet and read as much as I could about different products and technologies.  Once again this was somewhat of a confusing endeavor because each locality is different and the vendors often cater to that local demographic.  One of the items that was struggling with was determining the value of a water softener - carbon combination unit.  In East Ventura, CA the water is horrible and was determined to be 44 hardness and contained chlorine.  At that time my old water softener wasn't working at all so I really got to experience how bad the water was affecting my family and my appliances.  The Chlorine Combination softener became something that appeared to have real world value in my situation.
With a bit of knowledge under my belt and repetitive calls to the local vendors I went outside of my local area and found Pro Water Solutions.  In total I probably spoke with them 5-6 times before I made my purchase and each time I was greeted with sincere efforts to solve my problems.  I would say the sales pitch was fine and there was no real pressure to buy the units.  In fact they were honest in saying their products are neither the cheapest or the most expensive but they come from a local company that is committed to the trade and its customers.  In each of the conversations they always referred to Angie's List and was very proud of their reviews.  I had already read these reviews and agreed they appeared to stand out from the competitors in consistent good reviews.  They also mentioned the free RO drinking water system that was given FREE to Angies List members.
You could probably tell by the first few paragraphs that I was going to make my purchase with Pro Water Solutions.  When I finally made my decision I explained I was without soft water for the past few weeks.  The team at Pro Water Solutions reported they needed a day to put together the unit and could install it the following day.  I purchased the Water Softener-Carbon Combination system for just under 4k.  This was a fair price after comparing products and prices from multiple vendors.  The free RO system added to the value of the purchase.  The installers arrived and installed both the Water Softener -Carbon Combination and the RO.  I made note that they were far more professional and skilled than the two previous installers of the older systems.   They worked efficiently and paid attention to detail leaving a clean and great looking end product.  As a courtesy they assessed my water pressure which revealed my pressure regulator was not functioning and my house was receiving dangerously high water pressure.  Rather than trying to sell me on replacing the unit they explained that it would actually be very easy to replace and should be a top priority.  I thanked them for the information and decided to call a plumber to confirm the issue and make the replacement.  The plumber confirmed the issue was valid and agreed that Pro Water Solutions probably saved me a number of headaches down the road.
I am know two weeks in to having the units in service.  The free RO system was probably the biggest hit as my kids will now drink the RO water rather than going to the bottles of water.   I am very happy with the water softness and I am confident that my appliances are also very appreciative.  This was a somewhat of a drawn out process and review but I hope it conveys that the review is sincere and the product is worth the investment.

The experience was very good. They did an excellent job in installing it and very clean. They were always here when I had questions and provided me with information regarding requirements for the city as far as what types of water softeners are available and which ones are not approved. I found out that what they had told me was true when I checked it out with the city. Their pricing was in line with others and the system they installed was one of the best ones out there. They did a fair job.

Claudio showed up when he said he would, and did excellent work. He didn't swear, presented himself well, and arrived well equipped. He didn't disdain my work, cheerfully fixed my mistakes, and freely offered me how-to tips for any future work I do. I will most definitely rely on him in the future. I recommend him highly and have asked our property managers to use him as well.

    CULLIGAN OF VENTURA COUNTY
AFTER SPEAKING TO DIANE, WE DECIDED TO HAVE CULLIGAN DELIVER A WATER SOFTENER/CONDITIONER WEEKLY, IN PLACE OF PURCHASING A SYSTEM. THIS HAS ACTUALLY WORKED OUT BETTER BECAUSE OF THE SALT THAT IS USED IN THE SYSTEM that YOU BUY.
