Chimney Sweeping reviews in Venice

So the guy came in a reasonable time, a week or two after the purchase date, actually he wanted $7000 to replace the chimney from the inside.  So we weren't ready to do that at that time.  So I guess he did clean it.  It cost $95.  I didn't like the $7000 price, other than that it was fine.  The work they did I assumed turned out fine.  It's not easy to see if the chimney is clean.  Interactions were okay.  We were unhappy, he said we needed all this work on something that's invisible to our eyes and so we did not do the work that he recommended.  The $95 was a fair price.

Hired to inspect fireplace and chimney that was almost 60 years old and had been unused for several years. Inspector (Frank) arrived on time and thoroughly inspected the inside and outside aspects of the fireplace and chimney. He took photos and presented them with his recommendations for repairs. Chimney needed internal relining and repairs to the top on the outside. I agreed to the estimate and Frank returned a week later with an assistant (again on time) and proceeded to reline the inside of the chimney. They were unable to complete repairs to the top because of rain but returned several days later to finish the job. Communication throughout the job was excellent, with Frank explaining every step of the process and answering all my questions. He returned the following week to install a new spark screen in the fireplace opening. Their office called the day before each visit to confirm, and Frank called me when he was about 30 minutes away. All in all, a very professional company with first-rate customer service. I will definitely contact them for chimney sweeping and any future repairs that may be needed.

I called them to sweep my gas fireplace chimey. He came and said that because of the nature of the fireplace it can only be sweeped from the roof which was not a possibility for us due to HOA rules. Even then he was honest and told us that it is unlikely that it even needs cleaning. He offered to do a thorough clean of the burner/log area for half the price (he told us that we could do it ourselves and then his visit would be no charge). He cleaned it well and answered all my questions about lighting pilots, safety, etc.

This is one of the worst contractor experiences I have had. These guys were a no show TWICE. On both occasions I waited for them for a few hours, tried calling them. On second occasion, the person who picks up the phone "Alex" told me that he tried texting his tech but did not know what happened. He did not even bother apologizing, forget about trying to fix matters. They dont value your time and I would never try working with them.

Came in and took his shoes off.  They asked which door I wanted them to bring the  vacuum cleaner through.  They were most courteous and polite and concerned about getting my house dirty.  He  also inspected the chimney on the roof and said it was in great shape. the only thing that was different was the firebox looked sparkling  clean!  Nice gentlemen, I'd hire them again.

They were very good. The young guy that came was very nice, helpful, and you could ask questions.  It went well. He also gave me a free estimate for cleaning out my air ducts. They were running late so I had to call and they were very responsive. He gave me a time estimate and was within that half hour. I thought the price was reasonable.

Went fine.  No major problems discovered.  Very little creosote build-up in flue.  Minor cracks in floor of pre-fab firebox; estimate was provided to replace the ceramic liner.  Nice, intelligent young man!

Rep showed up. Seemed like a nice guy. Went up to the top of chimney, looked down, jumped off the top onto my roof, causing some minpr cracking in my living room ceiling. As I didn't notice it immediately, we didn't say anything.
He said we have a cracking in the top of the chimney; but, offered no video proof. Vacuumed the opening at the bottom and presented his bill. I was in no mood to start an arguement so I paid him and he left. I know through advertisements to realtors, they usually present a video so the homeowner can see the damage. In our case, I don't feel comfortable with his $3500. estimate and will have to get another price.

We had noticed some sparks and a red glow at the top of our chimney and were concerned. He came out and took a look and saw that there had been some resin build-up in part of our chimney. He was able to clean that away, along with a thorough cleaning of our flu and chimney. He recommended that we use more hardwood, instead of softer woods such as pine, so that there would be less resin building up in our chimney.

Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Alfredo is very efficient and personable, and took care of everything without a single cinder on the floor. There aren't many chimneysweeps in LA, and most were booked up well into January. I'm glad I went with Lucky!
