    She was very knowledgeable about computer programs and software I could use. I specifically liked a book manager software she suggested to scan titles instead of typing them in. I ended up retaining her for more than what the deal had stated. There were no hidden costs.

    Today's service, provided by Sandra and Reyna were fantastic. They were friendly and detail oriented. They took care of my home (1,000 square feet) and laundry (6 loads [including clothes, towels and sheets]) like it was their own. I would hire them again in a heartbeat if they were not associated with this provider. I first used this provider for a Deep Cleaning where 7 people showed up to clean every inch of my home. The staff was great. The owner, Sergio was a little rough with them and inconsiderate where he didn't even allow them a break for lunch but I insisted that they took one and bought them lunch. I was not too fond of him but the service from his staff was so great that I decided to sign up for regular service. The team he sent me was lead by Lesly who I took issue with immediately. She was uncommunicative via telephone and text. She did not show up on time. During her first visit, her team damaged 3 name brand shirts in the washer and put away wet and dirty laundry. They also did not run the dishwasher so I was left with dirty dishes. I tried to contact her about it but I got no response. Finally, I contacted Sergio who gave me Lesly's new number and told me to work out a resolution with her. Her resolution was to give me a $15 discount on my next visit. I know how hard we all work to make a living so I just let it go. I was home on the second visit so things went OK. The third time, I first get a text from Lesly asking me for my home address. Then, as I was in a meeting, I get a call from Sergio, telling me that I needed to pay him more money because there was too much laundry. He said that they needed to take my clothes to the laundry mat to do the wash so he needed to charge me an extra $35, on top of the $15 he charged me for laundry. At this point, I got irritated. Lesly has been to my house 3 times thus far. We've had numerous scheduling issues, amongst other things and now I am being told that I need to pay more because it is taking her too long to clean my house and do the laundry? I told Sergio that this is the last time I wanted Lesly and her team cleaning my house. I have been fair and reasonable. I explained all the reasons why again to Sergio. He was not particularly apologetic but he offered to comp the service for free and have me use Lesly and her team again. I refused because I am not looking for a free ride. I want to make sure that services provided are paid for but I am not happy with the service. The choice was to either end our business dealings or change the team. He chose the latter. I did not hear from him until today. Fortunately I decided to work from home today or else I would not have been able to meet Sandra and Reyna at my home since Sergio is a terrible communicator. He did not tell me that he assigned a new team to me nor when they would come. I am typically at work and would not have been able to leave them a payment. The agreed upon price was $115 for the housecleaning (without time restrictions) and $15 for laundry (2 adults 2 weeks) if they didn't have to go to the laundry mat. After Sandra and Reyna left, I received a text from Sergio with nothing more than "Hi the amount is $160". I text him back that they did not go to the laundry mat and called him immediately. It infuriated me that he would text me like that. He said that they should have since I had 6 loads of laundry. I explained that they were here CLEANING for 5 hours and not doing just laundry. I said that if laundry is the issue, we will take it out of the equation and just stick to cleaning for $115. He said, "no, we cannot clean the house for $115 anymore." I asked him why? He could not give me an answer. He then said that it's taking to long. I said that nothing has changed. If I take the laundry out of the equation, it will just take whatever amount of time it takes to clean my 1,000 sq ft house. I asked him if he's now telling me that I only get his staff for a specific amount of time? He said no, they are there to do the job until it's finished but he needs to charge me $135 going forward. I asked him to give me a legitimate reason. He said that it's because minimum wage is going up. I asked him when will that be going into effect. He said June/July. I asked him why do I have to pay the premium for that now? He said that he went out to dinner to a restaurant a couple of days ago and he had to pay more for his steak...prices are going up. I told him that I suggest that he goes to a different restaurant. We are all business people and this is not how you do business. The way that he treats his employees is reprehensible. He expects them to complete the housecleaning in record speeds regardless of the circumstance. It's a shame since he does have some good people working for him and they deserve to be treated better and with respect. He seems to reward the people who cut corners to accomplish things fast but scold people who take pride in their work. He is a piece of work. I would recommend most of his staff but I would not recommend putting a dollar in his pocket.

    We moved from New York to California in January of this year. We were also moving from a large house to one much smaller.  We got rid of a phenomenal amount of stuff before we moved, but still had a garage full after settling in.  The first time Karen came she made wonderful suggestions about how we could organize the garage inexpensively and effectively, in addition to helping to begin the sorting progress.  Then she suggested many things we could do on our own.  Her suggestions saved us an enormous amount of money and helped us set our priorities for the work ahead.  When it came time to get out from under the paper  in my study and get realistic about how many books I could really keep in a usable fashion, I called Karen again.  She helped me devise a system that keeps me ahead of the paperwork and we began work on the books.  The last time she came we continued our work in both the study and the garage.  Karen is scheduled to come back in two weeks to continue the work.  That is entirely my choice.  Karen has given me the tools to continue alone, but I know that left to my own devices, I will procrastinate.  Her reasonable fee makes it possible for me to have her assistance until the job is entirely done and I am grateful for that.
    I have not used her services as a dog walker or house sitter, but I would if she lived closer.  My dogs love her and I would trust her with them.
