    Dr. Ram is very professional and friendly. He is a great local GP. Like most doctor's offices you do have to wait a little to see him, but once you are in the room with him, he gives you a thorough examination.

    It was excellent. The price was the lowest. (We did our research before we came). So, we didn't expect the high quality of care in advance, so we wouldn't be disappointed. Yet, the experience was above and beyond any expectations. First of all we were met by Sarah, the assistant, who was an absolutely adorable, helping and overall nice woman. By the way, she is really good with the needle. My wife said she didn't even feel a thing when Sarah took her blood. Doctor was professional, nice, efficient and friendly. Overall, it was awesome. I would definitely refer Dr Ram to anyone, and not only for the Immigration medical Exam, yet for any medical problem. Thank you, doctor Ram! Thank you, Sarah! Thank you, Virginia!

    This is a general review of the past 18 years of service by this provider. At one time this medical group was the premier medical group to go to if you were HIV+.
    It is very depressing to see the decay in service and how doctors have left the practice, in one instance over lunch. 
    My most recent experience that has pushed me over the edge is that I have narcolepsy which is treated with ritalin. This medication requires a written prescription each month. Five months, ago after 3 years of going to the office monthly solely to get a refill prescription my doctor told me that I could call in for the 2 months in between my quarterly checks and then just pick up my prescription.
    Awesome, what a time saver. The first month phone call and refill, no issue. The second month refill phone call, resulted in a return call saying I had to come in for a doctor visit to get the prescription. After I explained that the doctor had said I could just call in to get the refills in between my quarterly visits, they verified that I would come and pick up the refill prescription. 
    Month three, I go in and do the full blood work (2K approximately) and get my next refills. 
    Month four, I call in and no problem.
    Month five, I call in and after 2 days get a call back saying that I have to come in for a doctor's visit to get my prescription. Mind you that I have been going to this practice for 18 years. After going off on the office manager, she called me back and the prescription was ready for pick up. 
    My sister-in-law goes to pick it up the next day and the front desk says they don't have it. I had to get the office manager Amy involved again to provide the prescription so that it could be picked up. 
    Personally, I'm desperately seeking out a new provider that I can switch two who can take over my care. I would not recommend Pacific Oaks to anyone. While at one time they were the premier medical group treating HIV over the past 5 years all the really good doctors have left along with the good office staff. 
    It is not fun when you have to explain basic HRA/PPO benefits to the office clerk during checkout. While I did work in insurance and probably understand my benefits better than most; it should not be my responsibility to educate their recently hired office staff about benefits when I'm trying to leave so that I can get back to work. 
    While I like my current doctor and his nurse, I cannot deal with the office staff or lack of knowledgeable staff any longer. In the past three it has gone from bad to worse, and I can feel my stress level and blood pressure go up as I drive the hour to their office, wait in the waiting room for 30 minutes, spend 10-15 minutes with the doctor, and then finally as go the check-out I start stressing about who I'm going to get at the desk. When I'm lucky i get the 1 of the 2 individuals who actually know what they are doing. Lately, I have not been lucky and instead I'm stuck with the individual that don't understand what HRA, HSA, PPO stand for and I most recently I had to explain what Maximum Out of Pocket (MOOP) means so that she would not insist on a $200 co-pay when I have already met my MOOP which mean the insurance would pay 100%.

    I thank God that I have them as the process is very easy. I am totally happy with them. The scheduling is great as they see me when needed. The co-pays are very affordable but that is related to my medicare status.

    Yeah, Dr. Joey Brett and he was very good, however, he was covered with this California Covered Health thing, but I don't know if he had any experience with that, but all the doctors that I have had on the list that were reaching on the list they were saying it's too complicated to call in. They can't even get through, so all of them were dropping.

    My last appointment with Dr. Brett was a couple of weeks ago, but he has given me notice that he is not going to be in the office. But, he is okay. The office and staff are good. The only thing I would say is it's like a one-man band. He is not in a group of several doctors. So, he has like half day, Friday off. But, aside from that, they are personable. They do what they do. They do what they say. Correct, they are efficient and professional.

    I have never dealt with a Doctor as unprofessional as this one. I could not have a conversation with her over the phone ... she would not speak with anyone in the call center. I had to go in on a Saturday to their urgent care and meet with a doctor I was not familiar with ... he, of course, provided the refill prescription and apologized for the inconvenience. This could have been and should have been handled over the phone and quickly by Dr. Banooni. When I had my appointment with her previous to this ... she was not attentive and was busy chatting with the assisting nurse throughout my exam. She was to prescribe 3 medicines ... she forgot to call in one. I am hoping that my yearly exam she performed was done correctly and that the results were accurate as she was barely engaged.

    My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Brett since November, 2013, both for physical exams and illness visits. He is very thorough and professional, but also has a warm bedside manner. His nurse, Claudia, is very friendly and efficient. The front office staff has always been helpful. The office seems well-run and the ambiance is comfortable. I like the use of technology in terms of lab results and prescriptions via email. I have already recommended Dr. Brett to friends and family members.

    We've been using Dr. Erie V. Boorman for many years. He is a very good and a very smart doctor. He takes the time with me that he really needs. He has kept us all in really good health. He even advised us when we're out of the country if there was something we should do about. He will recommend what I should do. He is available by email now. He is very sensible. He is a great diagnostician. He is very sympathetic. His availability is very good. When we call and ask for something, he gets it done.

    I found Dr. Cashdan via Angie's List as I didn't have a primary doctor. She had some pretty good ratings, so I thought I'd give her a try and was very satisfied with her services.

    I can make the appointments easy. They don't make me wait. I had experience with other doctors where I worked out after an hour just sitting on the table. At Kaiser, the max time I ever waited was 10 minutes after time of my appointment. They're very efficient to make the appointment and if there's a problem, they'll let me know. I've been very impressed on how they let me know about my lab results. I typically get an e-mail the same day or the next day. The communication capability they have is remarkable. The doctors really seem to focus on their patients. They're not concern about what is it going to cost. They're not concern about if they're gonna make more money by sending you to their facilities. I've been very impressed with their efficiency of how they work. Their electronic medical records are remarkable so they have all that information on there. They're able to see what beds or labs are taken.
