    They took forever in the waiting room. Then they said she needed surgery and it would be there. Then The dr said they wanted to transport her to Walnut Creek and it would be there in roughly an hour. But it wasn't and no one knew what was going on. Meanwhile my daughter is getting worse and now on morphine. Still nothing. It took us hours of demanding assistance to the point of being hysterical to get them to do anything and get the transport for her. Only the asst head nurse even cared. Worst ER ever!

    I have been using for 6 months now. Everybody department is amazing and I was happy with all of them. Their mental health department is very good.  Their receptionist and appointment making system is unbelievably good. They are very punctual. I have not had any problem as yet and they are available.

    She's awesome. I'm using their senior advantage and it's wonderful. I've been referred to a psychologist there and they made a big difference. Every time I had an emergency because I have asthma, they're awesome. I really love the program.

    My initial visit was on private pay and he took a lot of time with me and seemed to listen.  He then became my workers comp doctor and his demeanor changed drastically. He barely had any time and on multiple occasions was rude and condescending when I was asking ?too many questions?. I know the workers comp system is bad, but he should not take his frustration out on me as his patient.  That?s why had to switch to a different doctor.  His wait times can easily be up to 2 hours. That is to me absolutely unacceptable if you have any kind of injury. Local patients seemed
    to go back home and come back I noticed. I was not local and tried  (after my first 2 hour wait) to call the office to ask when I would be seen. Didn?t always get through but helped some
    times to reduce the wait time.

    I (Rhea) see Dr McCombs. I feel lucky to have found him. He's very experienced and easy to communicate with. He shows a lot of interest in me when I'm there and the manipulations are making inroads on pain I thought I would never lose. He often has a medical student in the room, and it's interesting to listen to him instruct the student.

    Some people complain about HMO and stuff, but I have been with them for almost 35 years. I think it's being proactive. It can happen with anything, to Blue Cross, Blue Shield, and it can be with any insurance. You just have to be very proactive for your own self. The doctors that I have are very attentive and they know me. I can email them now and they prefer that because they want me to stay out of the hospital emergency room. There are sick people in the hospital and they don't want me breathing that. They are very knowledgeable of my case. They know me, I am not a number. If I can't get a GP, I can get in to one of the specialists because of what is going on.

    I love Kaiser. they are state of the art and I can email my doctor any time. I can make my own appointments and they work collaboratively. I was referred to a specialist who did tests. He posted the results and tried to take care of it himself, but instead he consulted within his group and in other departments to figure out the safest way to proceed. I find they are very careful and they team work. It is easy to see and communicate with my doctor. They have prescriptions by mail. I tried them years ago and they are so much better now. They are terrific.

    I am a member of Kaiser and I am extremely happy with them. My experience with them has been very good. My husband had a terrible emergency about seven years ago and they were fantastic. We got the best service. I have absolutely no complaints about them. This past January, he also had an emergency with pneumonia and they were here in an instant. They got him to the hospital, took care of him and it lasted only less than a week. Everything was great. The last time that I went there, they took me on time and answered all my questions. The doctor was good and he did not rush me out of the office. It was also a good experience. You can get in with them right away even on weekends. The bedside manners of the doctors differ. I have been lucky but you can get a doctor that is not great at the bedside but the important thing is that he knows his medicines. We have been with them for years.

    She is very personable, relaxed and very helpful with any problems I have had. The only negative is you do have to wait sometimes. Her staff is lovely and her assistant is lovely. I had a situation, that was not an emergency but where I had to see a doctor right away and they didn't have any appointments. What they told me to was to call everyday to see if there was a cancellation. I was very grateful, that I got in the next day. I didn't mind waiting because I would have had to wait a month for a regular appointment.

    The part that I like best about Kaiser, is that they call you and remind you that you have a mammogram, or your blood pressure checked, stuff like that. If you are open to that, they will make the appointment right then and there. The therapist at Kaiser said that I made my rotator cuff very angry. I did not tear it, but it was mad at me! After she gave me the set of exercises, she had me come back and she would increases the exercise, tell me the things not to do. And right now I would say from being horrible, my arm is up to about 98%. Not quite 100%, but most of the time I do not pay it any attention any more. The Kaiser Physical Therapy is tops. They listen to you. If you tell them this or that, they don't tell you - you can tell them. That is important, because you know what hurts and what doesn't. When I first hurt my shoulder, I was hesitant for them to put me to my primary care physician, because it is not something in my body, it was my shoulder. I went on to my primary care physician and he examined me thoroughly, took x-rays and then told me to went on to the physical therapist. All came out just really great. So it was a good idea to go to my primary care physician.
