    K-Designers Inc
I hired KDesigners to install siding plus insulation package on my stucco house. The workmen did an excellent job & the materials look good to me. The guys were quick and efficient. They worked until dark and anything I said needed to get done, they said "no problem".

Ace's Garage Door Repair & Installation
Hani arrived on time & quickly diagnosed broken gears in my 12 year old Lift Master motor. He clearly explained my options to repair or replace the unit. He described the different price points & features that I could choose from as well as answered all my questions. I was impressed by his competence & care during the installation of the new opener. As promised, it was significantly quieter than my old unit. Hani also replaced both springs & garage door rollers with ease. He programmed the various remote controls & cleaned up to my satisfaction. Hani was very professional & competent. Overall, I was pleased with the result & would recommend Hani at ACE's Garage Door Repair without hesitation.

Ace's Garage Door Repair & Installation
We bought the deal for a garage tune-up for $79. They scheduled it for 12/2, with a four hour window. Halfway through that window, I called and was told the technician was running late, but that he'd call me. He finally called, an hour after the four hour window, and without any apology, just said he would be here in an hour. I said it was too late, and they'd have to come another day. The next day they called and scheduled it for 12/4, with another four hour window. This time he did show, and immediately said we would need to replace parts which would cost $699. I asked if the $79 we had already paid was included, and he said it was. Weird, but I said to go ahead. I kept checking on him and he kept saying he was almost done. Finally, he said he was finishing up, so I got my checkbook and waited while he packed up tools. Then he tells me that he only replaced one drum because he only had one with him. Um. Okay. I asked if he had an extra opener with him as we needed to replace one. He said he did and brought it in. He then goes back to his truck, while I'm standing there waiting, and proceeds to chat on his phone for at least 15 minutes. I finally had to go out and stand at his window to get him to come back in. He then spends another ten minutes filling out the invoice. He gives it to me and it's for the full $699 plus $49 for the opener...which can be purchased anywhere for about $20. Of course, I question the billed amount, given that he only replaced one drum, and he tried to explain that he gave me the opener for free, since he didn't replace both drums. I had to point out three times that that made no sense, since the bill did not deduct the $49. Finally, he says his English isn't very good (his English was fine), and THEN he manually deducts the $49 from the invoice. Just a bit shady. Four days later, the garage door begins to catch and bind when we open it. I call them back. They schedule yet another four hour window to fix their bad work. I specifically request that they send a more skilled technician, and Nancy says she will. Guess who shows up? Mike, the same guy that had been here before. Mike makes some kind of adjustments, and then says he needs to replace the whole tube. "We won't charge you a service fee. Just the $49 for the part." you have the part? NOPE. He then tells me that he will go back and let Nancy know and they will call to schedule the replacement of the tube. Guess what?! THEY NEVER CALLED. Additionally, I will, going forward, be very wary of the 'Angie Deals' that are sent to us.

The repair man showed up early in the promised window. Like the gentleman who bid the work, he was courteous and efficient. He even did some extra tuning and lubing of the equipment, and replaced the lamp at no charge.

Scheduled to leave town in 48 hours, when our garage door spring broke this morning, I was in a panic.  I chose RW Garage Doors from Angie's List and gave them a call - told them what happened and needing someone right away.  The rep told me he'd contact one of his tech's and get back to me.  The tech, Ryan, called me back within the hour and was headed my way - even gave me a 20 min window of his arrival.  He was right on time, assessed the situation and provided me with verbal estimate as well as recommendations (and why).  I gave him my approval, and he went to work immediately.  He had the work done within less than 1.5 hrs including:  replacing both springs, replacing spring roller bearing with metal one (vs. nylon one which had worn); replaced all existing rollers (which originally came with the door) that were pins inside a metal sleeve with ones that had ball bearings.  All in all, he did a terrific, quick job with obvious professional knowledge.  He was courteous and cleaned up when done.  The door's operation is remarkably more quiet than ever before!!  The total cost was $399 with "senior discount," and I gave him a personal cash tip for being so quick to respond, thorough and professional.  I most strongly recommend this company and tech to anyone needing garage door services.  We are very pleased!

Went just fine.   I was happy with the quality of the work, that they were able to bend back a bent roller track rather than replace.   They did do a bit of a bait and switch with the Angies list special - offering to install upgraded rollers.   I went for the switch; so the price ended up being fair, not a steal like in the advertised special.   The rest of the work done was done economically and well and fairly.   My garage door has been working great since.   I'm recommending this company and would use them again, however if they have a really cheap Angie's list special, you should budget a modest amount more for higher quality replacement parts.

    Door-Mart Garage Doors
One hinge on my double garage door failed and the door dropped jamming in it's frame. The door and hardware are approximately 20 years old. I needed this situation rectified quickly and professionally. I contacted Door-Mart based solely on their Yellow Pages ad and reputation on Angie's List. The estimator arrived late in the day and gave me a price to replace the double door hardware. There was also an additional charge to unjam the door and get it closed in order to secure the garage for the evening as the hinge replacement would not take place until the following day. I agreed to the additional change as I needed to secure the garage and the hour was getting late. The estimate written for the repair stated that I would receive new double door hardware. During my conversation with the estimator we discussed the age of the door and hardware, hinge and spring failure, etc.. My assumption, based on that discussion, was that I would be receiving all new hardware for my door as part of the agreed-upon service (and price). When the service technician arrived to unjam the door, he seemed more interested in whether or not I had signed the service contract than providing details on what my money was purchasing. The next day, when I returned home from work, I found my garage door had a brand new set of hinges with my 20 year old set of springs attached to them. I called Door-Mart to obtain an explanation as to why I did not receive a new set of springs and I was told by "Crystal" that new springs were not included in the service. I asked to speak to a Manager and I was told that none were available, however I would receive a call-back. Five days have passed and no return call. Had a Manager contacted me, I would have asked the following; why was a 20 year old set of springs used on a brand new set of hinges? Why was this not explained to me by their Technician/Installer? As a home owner, and not a Garage Door repair technician,  I relied on their "expert" to guide me through the process. Now the good news side of all this is that I have a garage door that functions. The disappointment is that my expectations were not met. And, that Door-Mart did not care enough to contact me to explain why.

He's reliable, his prices are reasonable. He's a great listener and tries to deliver exactly what you ask for instead of what he wants. Sometimes it takes a little longer to get the job done as he works alone, but it's well worth the wait.

I found them in the Yellow Pages. They were pretty good. They weren't the cheapest, but they had good service. They were pretty fast. They gave me a bid and they let me know it probably wasn't going to be the cheapest but they were going to stand behind their product for five years and it was going to take two people to do it, and that's what happened. I did call other people. I even called the people who originally put the garage door in, and their price was way higher and I wasn't really impressed with their product since we bought this house brand new. To me, they used the cheapest material, and their price was just so high I couldn't believe it. This place just seemed like a better company. The price was really good. They told me that the replacement on replacing a garage door like that would have been over $900, because we were thinking about just repairing it at this point, but they gave me a discount of $700 so I told them to just go ahead and replace it. The only thing that didn't need to be replaced was the motor; they replaced everything else. I was pleased. We've had it for a couple of weeks and haven't had any problems with it. I gave them an A on punctuality and responsiveness because they came the next day within the time window. They were very professional. I would hire them again.
