Concrete Repair reviews in Vallejo

  • Charles met with me to give me a quote on building a retaining wall in my backyard. He was very personal and seemed professional. He said he could help me to install my retaining wall and would get back to me with a quote. I reached out to him once and never received a call back and have not heard from him again.

  • Joe, arrived on time as agreed to estimate the job. I had a detailed estimate and scope of work within a couple of days. The price was fair and Joe began work the following Monday. He removed old paneling, light fixtures and ceiling fan it the room addition. I submitted a change order, (actually about 4 or 5 change orders by the time the project was finished) for Joe to frame in the un-insulated exposed beam ceiling, install and interior wall and door dividing the room addition into a home office and a bar. Joe also installed electrical outlets, LED lighting, ceiling fans in both rooms , a new double pane window in the office and a new double pane slider in the bar. He insulated the walls and ceiling, installed sheet rock taped and textured, painted the walls and ceiling, installed a new tile floor and installed baseboard and trim. Once he completed this addition remodel Joe immediately began phase 2, installing a stamped concrete patio and adjoining walkway and a french drain.

Joe was punctual, he would clean the work area at the end of every day. He brought a lot of great ideas to the table, all of witch we incorporated in our project. His flexibility during this remodel was above and beyond, especially since there was a period of about a week where I had daily change orders. His attention to detail, customer service, and professionalism are well above the standard of most other contractors out there. I would not hesitate to recommend Joe, and Legacy Construction.

  • Work began in early January. ?When they repaired the cracks and painted the whole house, they also moved all our furniture and belongings safely, put them back properly and completed the interior repairs, all in one week. ?They cleaned up after themselves, and did a walk through with us and asked us to notify them of any missed spots. ?They promptly fixed the few things we found, and the paint job was superb. ?(I love my new color!) ?Their crew were polite, on-time or early, and responsive. ?They worked with the city and provided us with the approved permit, and their documents and scope of work were well organized and clear - easy to understand. ?They provided us with their companies ratings, and offered recommendations. ?They had all their ducks in a row and were fantastic to work with. ?I wholeheartedly recommend this company. ?Their price was medium-high, considerably less than foundation specialists, more than some others, but their quality of work was worth it. ?We will be using them again this summer and perhaps later should we add on to our home.

  • Everything was okay but we had a misunderstanding. I don't think that they explained us and they brought in more concrete than we needed. They did an estimate but we had extra stuff. They brought it for us and we had to pay for it, and we couldn't use it. We did the measurement but for some reason they brought in more. They left it in our backyard and we don't even need it but that is okay. It is no big deal. The service was good. I wasn't there, and it was my husband and my brother who were there, but they didn't complain about anything other than that they had way more stuff. I think that was the best price we could get, but I don't know. The quality was good but not the best. They are good.

  • Good reviews from Angie's lists...?!?! Wondering where is that came from. Anyway never ever pay a contractor up front for the job !!!!! My big mistake....contractor was asking me for a favor and I helped him....it took 20 days ti finish a job which was actually 4 days from it. $ 4800 and 3 weeks later of "completion". I'm fixing the wooden fence and the gate...the cement work isn't up to standard.

  • point of the back yard. John and his crew worked every day until the job was done. It took an army of people to do the concrete and put in electrical lighting for a dramatic effect after dark (low voltage lighting). We h ave a plethora of different sage plants--hot lips, Mexican sage, Russian sage as well as flax, Australian Kangaroo paws in different colors and Mexican heather. Our yard is now a favorite of many varieties of birds from hawks, buntings, doves, finches, orioles and several hummingbirds. Even a road runner and California quail visit us! we now have a lovely patio setting as well as the pergola to enjoy all year long.

I believe this job took over 2 weeks or more to complete and the crew was here promptly at 7 AM each morning as promised. We liked the fact that John was here every day as well--he did not give his crew instructions and then leave--he was here to see it from start to finish

John also checked back after everything was completed and showed up from time to time to evaluate how the plants were growing and how the watering schedule was working out for us.

We are happy with the work and get to enjoy this lovely environment daily.

    Thanks! John and crew

  • I talked to the guy and when I told him I was going to get 4 estimates, he told me that he couldn't be bothered. He was just too busy and he didn't want to come out. I thought that was kind of rude. His tone of voice was just disrespectful. I wasn't looking for the lowest quote, I was looking at quality of work. That's fine, I don't want to work with someone like that anyway. If you do have a problem, you want someone that would be there for you.

  • Steve is customer oriented and high energy. With his experience he was able to quickly pull together a plan to transform our very plain all concrete backyard with 3 planter beds, a good sized yard, Connecticut Bluestone for the patio portion and a slightly elevated deck. He came to our home several times and revised his bid as the scope changed.
Steve has a good feel for the types of plants and trees that will perform well in your local climate. He chose some great plants and trees for us. When they arrived he quickly identified substandard plants and ones that would not work for us and exchanged them readily.
His crews were punctual and cleaned up at the end of each day. From the start of demolition to the final trimout, Gardelle construction crews worked hard full days. They do very good work. Their carpenters and stone workers are craftsmen.
Steve was very responsive (emails or phone calls) to our questions and concerns as the project progressed.
The billing was easy with Invoices sent out at predetermined points in the construction process. We established a cred card on file with them and then authorized payment when we were satisfied that the work or services detailed on the invoices had been performed.
We are very pleased with the end result. We now have an Oasis just outside our back door.

  • I noticed some of the wood framing my window exteriors had visible dry rot.  Eagle Construction was on time for the estimate appointment and was by far the most reasonable bid so I gave them the job.
Michael from Eagle arrived on time to start the work and was very friendly and efficient.  We evaluated the siding beneath the dry rot and agreed it was still in good shape.  Michael cut the new wood to fit and even corrected some minor mistakes in the original work.  He took the time to shim and sand pieces so the edges would line up properly.  After replacing the wood, he painted the new boards and the siding around them that had been marked when the old wood was removed.  He then proceeded to check and recaulk every window, not just the ones he worked on.  Michael also sealed a large crack in the patio concrete as per our contract.  When finished he cleaned up everything, including washing down our back patio.
I would definitely use Eagle Construction again.

  • I  just purchased an older house (1936)  and all the concrete is a mess.  I found Villacon on Craigslist. They are licensed and bonded General Contractors. I left a message on Monday morning and Gabriel returned my call later that day. I asked him if he could drive by and check out the work I wanted done and give me an estimate. Later that evening he called with a price. I asked when he could start; he said “tomorrow...it will take 4 days". Well the work was finished on Friday @noon.  It was quite a large job , approximately 885 sq ft – digging up and replacing the driveway which runs from the street to well in back of the house. I am very impressed with the professionalism and work ethic of this crew… (I live currently in SF and the new house is in Vallejo - Gabriel was in constant communication regarding work progress and any challenges that arose), they delivered on time and within the budget. Quality of work is outstanding. I will be rehiring them to continue with the other concrete projects. Their areas of expertise include, foundation work, pool decks, retaining walls, patios and handicap ramps, as well as specialized finishes.
