  • Excellent!!!! I can't say enough great things about this company, especially the technician, Ilya who came out to do the replacement. Extremely knowledgable, skilled and conscientious, it was obvious that he takes great pride in his work. It's a family business, with Polina in the office and Vitali, the owner, it was such a pleasure to know an honest company, that strives to do their best for their customers. I will call them for all my appliance needs!!

  • It went very well, he came three times, always on time, clean and really nice. It just takes time to troubleshoot and then wait to see if it works, so the three times was perfectly reasonable, and it was all within a week, which was awesome, especially since it was Fourth of July week!I would highly recommend Barry.

  • I want to be clear that the service done on my washer was done well and the technician was wonderful. I had no issue with the actual service. My low rating comes from the bait and switch technique in price quoting. Over the phone I was quoted $65 ($10 off) for the diagnostics and service call. All that needed to be done is change 2 hoses on the washer. I could have done the service myself but was ankle deep in water. When the tech came out, he informed me that the cost of the parts and labor would be $175 (almost 3x). In my desperation, I agreed but need to make sure that others know of this tactic and make it clear over the phone of the expected cost of repair.

  • I was very satisfied with this appliance service. Our long time appliance person retired and had to look elsewhere. I am not disappointed at all. World Appliance scheduled us promptly and took care of the issue within a week as the part had to be ordered. They call ahead to advise their tech was on his way. He was professional, explained the problem and was very clear on the costs. Will be calling on them again for any other appliance services required.

  • From the first phone call, I felt as though Preferred Home Builders made customer service a priority. We made an appointment with Omri, he was on time, professional, and very responsive to my needs. I was in Northern Ca. on the phone with my son who was at the condo with Omri . He was very detailed in his explanation of the needed repairs and was able to give us a rough bid and time frame of completion. My wife and I drove down the next week and met Omri again to finalize our plan. He was again on time, very professional, everything was explained in detail, we left feeling very comfortable. We are finalizing our proposal and very happy we selected Preferred Home Builders!

  • The washing machine had been making horrible rattling noises during the agitator and spinning cycles.  I called, in the morning, expecting an arrival date later in the week.  Luckily they had someone available the same day.  Julia answered the phone right away.  She sounded very busy, but was also very polite and listened to my issue.  At first, they were going to send someone on several days out, but an opening came up on the day of my call.

    Vlad arrived precisely on time.  He was extremely polite and professional.  He tested the machine, checked the underside and determined the drain pump needed to be fixed.  30 minutes later, the job was done and the machine is as quiet as before the issue started.

    We own a number of rentals and, as long as they are like they were today, we intend to use them as one of our regular vendors.

  • Provider was very courteous, very concerned about removal of trash so as to avoid dust/dirt in my home. He explained everything to me in a clear manner. He replaced the washer's lid switch, replaced the rubber hoses with stainless steel ones. Advised calling a plumber to replace shut-off valves. He was very attentive to replacing things that needed to be moved.  He even gave me the website and the parts I needed to order a replacement dial that had been previously broken.  He pointed out a severe problem which I was not aware of regarding the drier's exterior exhaust vent and recommended a way for a handyman to remedy the issue!
    I will DEFINITELY call Lernman's again the next time I need appliances repaired!

  • Nelson was prompt, courteous, and a very thorough and knowledgeable  technician/worker with excellent communication skills. From the phone call, to the appointment, to the actual repair, he was professional and reliable. I called late Thursday afternoon and was given a next day Friday time slot between 11-1pm. Nelson, called me Friday morning to tell me that he was on his way. Upon arrival, he preceded to examining my older gas dryer. He checked everything. My dryer was not producing heat within the drum and Nelson replaced the valve and coil; plus, he removed the pedals within the drum and cleaned each one of them out at no extra charge. His price was the most reasonable out of the other company's I researched and contacted. I really appreciated Nelson giving me a ball park figure over the phone and providing excellent service and keeping his word about the discussed possible price. I would highly recommend Nelson to family, friends, and neighbors for their appliance repair needs. I will definitely be calling Nelson when future repairs are needed.

  • I trust them. I think they're great. I will call them in the future. They have always told me what my options are. They don't try to sell me on a repair that they can't do. In most cases, they've been able to change something small and kind of give me an idea of how long without a big upgrade.

  • Our freezer was accumulating frost and this provider happened to be offering a Big Deal for appliance repair so that is how I got started with Service Masters.  Kevin (the tech/repairman) came out on April 17th to give us a free estimate which was great.  Apparently a computer/circuit board had gone bad - he said it was a common issue these days.  He said the cost of the part was $207.78. The day he came out, the fridge portion had basically stopped working as well.  He said replacing the part would fix that as well.  He said the freezer would have to be clear of frost for him to do the repair. He gave me the option of doing it myself, the day before he came out to replace the part, or he would do it when he came out.  In the interest of saving money on labor, I chose to do it myself.

    Kevin said they would call us when the part came in which should be a couple days, and then we would arrange a day for him to come perform the repair.  HIs initial visit was on a Friday and I still hadn't heard back from them by Monday so I called them Tuesday morning.  Since we couldn't use the fridge, I wanted to get it done sooner rather than later.  When I called the person who answered said she didn't see that a part was ordered - I was not thrilled - but she said she would check and call me back.  Turned out Kevin HAD ordered the part, but it wasn't showing up on her list.  We made arrangements for him to come out the next day and replace the part.  The cost of the part was just what he said it would be - not including tax.  The cost I paid for the Big Deal covered the cost of the labor.  I don't remember how long it took him to do the repair - maybe an hour?  But I do remember it was faster than I thought it would be. 

    Kevin does have an accent, but I was able to understand him well enough and any question I had, he answered.  I would definitely recommend him and he was very tidy which I appreciated.  He also arrived on time both days he came out.
