Remodeling Kitchen And Bath reviews in Vacaville

After a fall, a physical therapist recommended that grab bars be installed in the master bath and adjacent toilet room. Because of the safety factor, it was decided to solicit a local contractor. Reid Construction was selected based on customer ratings and proximity to our residence. Lee first came to examine and evaluate the job site. Upon acceptance of the quote from Ben, Lee showed up on time. Work was completed in about 2 hours. The job site was clean. Lee demonstrated the sturdiness of the installed grab bars which was completely satisfactory. From start to finish, Lee is the consummate professional. This is our first experience with Reid Construction. It is written that those who are trustworthy in small things, are trustworthy in big things. Strongly recommend.

I was very pleased with the whole process. I had 2 bathrooms remodeled. I believe it only took about 8 days. The workers, were willing to answer questions and if they didn't know the answer would they would get the answer. They did a great job with the installations AND clean up. I am so glad they were referred to me.

The final product is spectacular. We could not be more pleased. There were several hiccups along the way, e.g. delays in getting the tile, a sink which was delivered broken, and a few plumbing surprises. But overall, the contractor was steady, meticulous, and very clear about what he would and would not do.

I was very pleased. My real estate agent recommended I use Northern Counties Construction and I was very happy I did. I needed remodeling work done on 2 rental houses I have in the Roseville area and he did an excellent job. I found him to be reliable, detail-oriented and honest. He answered all my questions and was very professional and took pride in his work.

Intially things went well, then it was no show for multiple days and then weeks with multiple lies. He never pulled a permit, but informed me that he did, then said he mailed the permit to the insurance. Bank came to do the final inspection and found he used the wrong grade dry wall in garage, did not ancho water heater correctly, did not seal around water and gas line. Then inside the kitchen plugs were not GFI grade, which he replaced. Twice he sent workers here from the unemployed day works downtown, that had never done this type of work. He lied to the insurance and the bank about the entire process. My floors and granite are beautiful, now. His worker, Sam, held the company together and did all the clean up of his messes! Found out from the city that he can not pull permits because his license and bond were revoked in March 2016! He still advertises he is licensed. He is a liar, and not very good at that!

Gregg is an excellent contractor.  He maintained great communication with me throughout the process.  He came to me whenever a decision had to be made regarding the project and did an excellent job during the installation.  The kitchen remodel process was about a month because it fell over the holidays and we had to wait for the counter-top company.  Gregg made sure our kitchen was functional over the holidays (surface to place things on and a plumbed sink) and did a great job cleaning up at the end of everyday.  He was skilled in all aspects of the project and very knowledgeable.  He did his best to minimize the impact to my family during the remodel.  He is very honest and trustworthy and does a thorough job, making sure everything is done correctly and not just "good enough".  He operates alone, so factor that into your timeline, but he does a great job.  I would highly recommend him and plan on giving him my business again in the future.

I am already planning my next project with Dan. He listens carefully to what your hope/expectations are for the work you would like done -- he is able to make recommendations and create a plan .  He is able to explain in simple terms what the problems are and solution options... He and his team completed all steps of the renovations/repairs with minimal interruption to my household and worked around my schedule... I am EXTREMELY pleased with his work.

I have known Gregg Wickham for approximately 5 to 6 years.  I initially had him remodel my master bathroom. On that project he updated the shower/ tub combo and installed new travertine floors.  I remember looking forever for someone to complete my bathroom and when I found him I was so pleased.  Extremely professional, forthcoming, communicative,  reasonable pricing, and the extra icing on the cake, he is a good man.   He completed the project beautifully and I knew I had found a gem.

Recently I had Gregg update my fireplace mantle and hearth from generic track home furnishings to stacked stone.  I also had him install pocket lighting and wire for HDMI and electricity for a flat panel TV.  Again, Gregg completed the job as expected and I am completely satisfied.   For example:  You will receive a written, specifically detailed, and signed estimate prior to the job and the expected time he believes he will need.  He is prompt everyday and will give you an update or answer any questions you may have daily. He is well skilled/versed in many trades.  During my project we discussed how to build the new mantle and what type of styles for the hearth. For the security conscious Gregg is your man.  Living alone and having someone have access to my home was a big concern of mine. Security is quite important to Gregg also.  He does much of his work alone and for me that was perfect.  Although now knowing him, if he ever needed help to complete anything or wanted to subcontract a service for a large job I would have extreme faith that whomever Gregg approved, that person is ok.  His reputation is extremely important to him. In the end, Gregg built a beautiful mantle and hearth that fits the décor of my home perfectly.

I think of Gregg as family.  I will only call Multicraft Construction for any remodeling/updating issues for my home.  I trust him completely and know that I will receive a finished product that I will love and was provided to me at a fair and reasonable price...

Mr. Sittinger worked with me every step of the way, explaining each process.  He let me make the selections and decisions of each and every detail, offering good advise along the way.  His precision work and craftsmanship really showed with the finished product.  I now have a custom made bathroom that looked like those in model homes.

I hired Blanton Construction for this job because I had used them last fall for upgrading part of my house (popcorn ceiling removal, wallpaper removal, painting four rooms, new carpeting).  Since I was happy with their previous work, I hired them again to upgrade my hallway, laundry room, and two bathrooms.  Tom Fargo, the contractor, was very responsive and helpful throughout both upgrades.  I had several choices to make regarding materials and options for a new shower and he made that go smoothly.
For this project, new tile flooring was installed in both bathrooms, hallway, and laundry room, and new baseboards to match what had been installed last fall in my first upgrade.  Four can LED lights, an exhaust fan, all the materials for the shower upgrade, and the flooring were provided by Blanton.  I purchased two new toilets, two medicine cabinets, bathroom faucets, showerhead, hardware, and light switches which Blanton installed.   The  city permit was an extra charge.
About half the cost was for a new custom built tile shower in the master bathroom, and half the cost for everything else.  The shower measures 36" x 48" x 54" which is a custom cut AKW barrier free shower.  They needed to move a floor heater vent and waterproof the entire bathroom floor since it's barrier free (no curb).  The shower looks great and I am happy with it, for the most part.  However, water does splash onto the regular tile floor outside the shower which takes some getting used to.  Since the front of the shower opens at an angle, installing a custom made shower door would have been possible but expensive.  I opted to leave it open.
This recent project took about three weeks and I'm glad they started earlier than I expected since I had a vacation planned soon after they finished.  The Blanton employees all did a great job, including hauling away debris and cleaning up every day.  I'm done upgrading for now, but if I need something done in the future, I would hire them again.
