    Big League Painting
First of all, Gerald was a no show for our scheduled estimate appt. When we followed up, he said he was sick. We rescheduled, he gave us a reasonable estimate and we scheduled the service. During the estimate, we mentioned that we were planning to rip up the carpet to put in hardwood floors. Gerald assured us that everything would still be covered and protected. He showed up late with his 2 sons to complete the work. I had my inlaws present while the service was being performed. Gerald left the house with no indication that there were any problems. When I arrived home, the first thing I noticed was a huge paint spill on my living room carpet. The paint had also splattered onto the sliding door, the baseboard, nearby electrical cords, my television, DVD player, and sound speakers. Upon further inspection, there were paint splatters everywhere! On couches, tables, window blinds, hardwood floors, kitchen chairs. None of my belongings had been covered or protected! When my husband contacted Gerald to explain our disappointment, Gerald admitted he spilled the paint and apologized. He did not offer to remedy the situation. My husband insisted he come back to clean up. Gerald returned with 3 people to clean up the mess. He had a multipurpose cleaner with him, but asked if we had paper towels he could use to clean up. Throughout this process Gerald insisted that not all of the paint splatters were from him. He denied responsibility for the mess and seemed bothered to have to clean up after himself. When asked specifically to clean paint off of my yoga mat, he responded that those are inexpensive and I should just buy a new one. Gerald offered to take$250 off his fee. I did not feel that we should pay him at all, but we were eager to have him leave our home. The entire experience was unsatisfactory.

    Bay Easy Construction
We asked about bringing a wall up to modern fire code so we can install major electrical equipment without worry. Bay Easy offered an inspection and quote on a schedule far quicker than we expected, then was able to plan and execute work on a tight turnaround, too. Ofer and his team were also great about telling us when demolition revealed existing problems and offering ways to deal with those issues without leaving us feeling pressured to accept expensive additions to the contract. They were then able to execute the additional work we chose while still staying within the original timeframe.

    Eco Friendly Remodeling
ECO friendly remodeling completely demolished, designed and rebuilt our master bathroom in our house. Our unique floor plan allowed us to access the bathroom from the master bedroom closet and it was very small and dark space. On the other hand, our new master bathroom entry has been moved to the hallway between the two bedrooms and we closed the hallway with 2 doors in order to create a complete master suite. Other than that, we also added a new closet space. The whole design was executed by the in house designer at ECO friendly remodeling and they did a wonderful job which helped us to work with Jou hand by hand on the creation of this remodeling and mainly to stay within our budget. All the people that were working on our remodeling, were easy and skilled people to deal with and this was the main reason for the success of our remodeling. Jou was our project manager and everything went thru him. He too was a great person to work with and he was always very responsive to any questions or issues that raises. The work was completed pretty much on time and within the budget. We are very pleased with the completed work that they did.

    Eco Friendly Remodeling
Hiring ECO friendly remodeling to completely remodel our kitchen was a very good decision and we are very satisfied with how the beautiful kitchen came out. To begin with, our manager of project development worked together with our designer (who is our close friend) to bring to life a design that was creative and that also included all the features that we wanted to have while focusing on extra storage and maximized the space of the kitchen. When the work began, Ben started with the demolition stage of the work. He helped us to pack all the content of the kitchen and he brought in his crew that took down all the old cabinets, appliances etcAfter that stage was completed, the plumber and electrician came in and did their own tasks. Later on, the main stage of the work started and we were very happy by the work of the carpenter and Ben. All of our fears about how the living areas would be protected were met happily and professionally. The skill of Ben by managing all the people was remarkable. Each part of the work was installed precisely and expertly. The final result is a gorgeous kitchen, in which we can really enjoy the workmanship that ECO friendly remodeling brought to the project.

    DE LA CRUZ PAINTING
I was injured in an accident and was unable to finish painting the interior of my house. I spoke with the contractor who textured inside my house and he referred me to De La Cruz Painting. I called Jerry and arranged to meet at the house on Friday. I get a nice discount on paint, so I told him I would buy the paint myself. Jerry gave me a quote to finish the interior painting and told me how many more gallons I would need of each color. He gave me a timeframe for completion and said he might be able to start on Monday. I was surprised when they called on Monday. They were just about finished, but needed some more paint in one color. I bought the paint and brought it over there along with a check. Jerry was gone but the other gentlemen were nice and friendly. I was even more delighted when I saw they had touched up the kitchen ceiling corner I didn't do so well. All my interactions with De La Cruz Painting were pleasant and professional. I would highly recommend them and will be calling them when it is time to do the exterior.

    BRETT'S PAINTING
Brett did a great job, was very professional, easy to work with, and flexible.  He was very accommodating when other work on my home renovation project, such as the installation of the closet doors were delayed and collaborated with the other contractors to keep the project moving forward.  Brett was very careful, completed all that he was hired to do, and tidied up afterwards.  I would use Brett's Painting in the future.

    Bay Easy Construction
We recently performed a comprehensive remodel of our Union City home through Bay Easy Construction. My wife and I met with 5 different contractors before we ultimately went with Ofer since we felt he could best deliver on what we wanted at the right price. We felt very comfortable with Ofer and his designers from the very beginning. Since we were new at this, and the project was huge, we were still anxious and wondered if he could deliver on our remodeling goals?.and boy did Ofer and company deliver! The process was smooth and the result was absolutely beautiful. Hopefully we can get the pictures uploaded soon so you folks can have a look for yourself.
During the initial visits, we appreciated how knowledgeable and patient Ofer was about the many questions we had. He was able to give us a ton of information on the pros and cons of both major and minor work items. On many occasions, Ofer was able to recognize what we wanted to achieve with the remodel without us having to tell him. For example, we really appreciated his suggestions on adding windows to the fireplace wall and replacing the aluminum tin on top of the pergola with a clear one. This tremendously increased the amount of natural light that came into the family room. At first we didn?t want to tell him the budget we were working with but since we started to feel comfortable with him, we decided this information will only help him get us what we wanted. He was able to take that and tell us upfront the estimated (and surprisingly accurate) cost of several different upgrades along with each of its pros and cons. This helped us narrow down the set of upgrades we could accomplish with our budget and that is what we used as a baseline to compare Bay Easy Construction with other contractors. At first, we were a bit bothered by his direct tone, but got used to it quickly and actually rather appreciated how frank he was about what was reasonable at what cost. One negative note is that I feel Ofer delayed the material selection. We could have used more time to pick the right materials and felt rushed in making our choices. I would recommend people to start the material selection sooner.
Ofer?s crew was great to work with as well. I went over to the house many times to see how the guys were doing their work. Without saying, his crew performed the work with quality. For example the front entryway was slightly uneven from the previous floor that was there. Instead of cutting corners, they floated the floor properly even though they didn't really have to. His tile guy was super nice to work with. He went over tile patterns and spacing and was a pleasure to work with. As you will see in the pictures, the floor, kitchen, and shower tiles came out gorgeous. We felt that the guys did every upgrade thoughtfully and carefully. A minor example is when I watched one of his guys install the bathroom hardware. He took his time to align the towel bars and toilet paper holders perfectly. Minor, but we really appreciated this attention to detail. There were a couple of hiccups where Ofer?s crew installed the wrong toilets and vanity tops. Ofer ate the costs of replacing them without any question. At the end, every room came out beautiful.
During the project, my wife and I changed our mind on a few things (we were just not in love with some of our initial selections). Ofer did not complain about any of the changes even though some changes required that he demolish some of what was already built. We really appreciated his attitude towards the changes. The quality of the materials he used was high and something we didn't have to ask for. He went above and beyond to meet our expectations on many levels. We will definitely use him again for any future projects.

    Fine Point Painting
Bill from Fine Point Painting first stopped by to perform an estimate. I am a newbie when it comes to painting jargon so Bill was quite helpful in his explanation of the various sheen types (flat, satin, eggshell, semi gloss etc.) and which sheen would look good in which areas. I also discussed a couple of options with him (like should I paint the ceilings or not) and he was again quite helpful with his suggestions.
He sent me the estimate the next morning and it was a very competitive price so I decided to go for it. The work was for 3 painters for 2 days and I used the Angie's list coupons.
On both days, Bill and team showed up very promptly. There were thorough professionals and knew exactly what to do. They bunched up all the furniture and covered it, covered the floors, removed the wall panels for all plug points in the wall, removed curtains. They cleaned all surfaces, patched holes, spot primed the patches and did a great job with the painting. The job was completed on time and I am very impressed with the quality of work.
I will definitely hire them again (thinking of painting the bedrooms and bathrooms next as well as the exterior)

    The Painting Pros, Inc.
We had removed wainscoting from a large living room that left walls bare and mismatched. I called Cleve and scheduled an appointment for free quote. He came on time and asked me all the right questions to get a fair idea of the job. Next day I received a detailed quote from him and signed the contract.  Roshawn helped us in picking a color and we were all set. One the scheduled date, the crew arrived on time, prepped the area for the job and started the work. The work was finished in one and half day. The walls looked beautiful, the texture was matched perfectly and they left the place sparkling clean. I am very pleased with Cleve's team's professionalism and would definitely use their services for the next job.
