  It went fairly OK. Initial estimate was for $1500.00 for demo of 5' high by 20' long planter block wall in the backyard, that included removal of the shrubs and removal of the dirt behind the wall. At the end, I had to pay $200.00 for another company to remove the shrubs and the dirt. They said they want another $300.00 to do that, even though they had seen the job and inspected before they provided me an estimate. ��When the job was over, I had to pay them $2000.00 instead of $1500.
  That Monday, when the work scheduled was sunny and they promised to show up at 8:00 am. However they did not show up until 1:00 pm. They worked 3.5 hours and did not complete the job. They had to come the next day to complete while it was pouiring rain.
  Then, they said they wanted extra money to remobe a 1' deep footing ny 2' long unter very small portion of the wall. I stated that his demo guy had been in my house and seen exactly what the situation was. I refuse to pay extra money, more than $2000.00. They completed the job reluctantly.
  The demo was OK. The recap of the remaining wall was performed while the rain was pouring. The grout space between the caps did not match the existing. If they had come early the previous day, as scheduled, they would have finished the job that day, within�� 7 hours and not grout the caps in the rain.

  I had landscaped my backyard about 7 years ago, but realized that the patio area was too small.  I had a very large grassy area, but a small patio.   I didn't want to remove the existing patio, so it was important to me that the extension looked good -and, not like an afterthought.
  I had a raised patio ("Bistro") area at the back of the yard.  It didn't look good.
  I also had 3 trees on my back slope that had not grown at all over the years.  I wanted to get rid of them and start over with different trees.
  I met Victor and his wife at the Home/Garden Show in Anaheim.  It was a Sunday.  Victor came to my house the next day to take a look at my backyard.  He had some good ideas on how to improve my backyard.  He proposed the "Mega-Arbel" pavers - which are pavers that have varying shapes.  They almost have the look of slate.
  I decided to go with the quote, and Victor's team started the next day!  I was impressed with the speed of the work.  The vast majority of the work was done in about 4-5 days.  My family was shocked to come over and see a very different back yard, when they had just been over the week before!   Victor came each day to check on progress and answer questions.  His team was respectful and also worked closely with me while working on the project.
  The patio expansion draining/slope was able to be tested very shortly after installation when we had a major downpour.  We had about 15 minutes of torrential rain.    Thankfully, the drains worked great.  I feel comfortable that  if the drainage worked well with that downpour, it would work great with all of the normal rains we get during the winter.
  Overall, I was very happy with the quality of the job and the speed of the work done by Victor's Team.

  Kyle Beym Home Improvement

  We are very happy with the results and the patio cover looks great. There is one area of cement overcoat on one of the columns that doesn't quite match the adjacent overcoat because it was done by a different worker the following day. I assume Kyle would redo it if I asked him to do so. Overall we are very happy and wouldn't hesitate to use him again.

  BOB'S HANDYMAN & REPAIR

  We had used Bob previously and he was very good but something has happened and this visit turned out absolutely terrible. After rescheduling our original appointment for a week later, he showed up and was unable to handle 5 of the 8 things we needed done. These were fairly simple items like adjusting a shower door, snaking a drain and repairing a loose brick on a wall. He showed up either unprepared and or just not wanting to work. When we asked him why he couldn't fix our shower door, he said (quite unbelievably) "You need a really competent handyman to do that job." We asked, "Aren't you really competent?" After that he made a very hasty exit from our house and nothing was completed. I would look elsewhere for your "competent handyman." This guy appears to be a flake.
