  • All went better than expected. Jerry was patient and took his time to find the best solution without having to open up the wall (which was a fear of mine). It was clearly a challenging situation and I could tell he wasn't sure if we were going to be successful but Jerry was committed to solving and fixing my problem door. He was successful and the door works perfectly. The only repair I need to do is some quick caulking and painting on a piece of trim molding. I'd hire this guy back in a heartbeat and will recommend him to all my colleagues in the real estate industry for their "recommended vendor" lists. Nice guy too!

  • Loved these guys!! They came on time - even a few minutes early. They checked out the job, warned me that the warping of the wooden doors may mean we'd have to replace them. Of course, I immediately thought I was being taken for a ride - but NO! They fiddled with the sliding mechanism and repaired them good as new in no time. They even showed me the warping, which confirmed for me that they were telling the truth. I'd used them again in a second.

  • Bernie was great.  I bought this deal months ago, however, I was waiting for a major project to be finished first -- before I could have the new lighting fixture installed.  My schedule is crazy and so is Bernie's.  Eventually we found a time that worked for both of us.  I only bought 2 hours of time, but I could have bought more.  I found that there were more things for him to do!  My doorbell was the priority.  I got the run-a-round from many electricians.  Nobody wanted to fix a low-voltage doorbell -- I guess a small job like that wasn't worth their time.  Bernie didn't hesitate and fixed it right up.  I'm thrilled with it since it's been broken for years!  I also had him take down an old light fixture that was over the dining room table.  This thing was U-G-L-Y and I couldn't stand it anymore.  I bought a replacement and had it in the box and waiting in the wings.  Bernie took down the old one without any problems.  I also assisted him lifting the new fixture because it's heavy and he was the one climbing the ladder.  He helped me decide how low it should hang and adjusted the chain links accordingly. These two simple fixes made me so happy.  I know it sounds crazy, but sometimes it's the little things that need attention, and then everything else falls into place.  I would be happy to have Bernie back again.  I just might have him install some framed art and towel bars in the future.

  • It was a very good experience.  They were good at communicating to somebody who is not a contractor.  I felt that a lot of the windows and doors only deal with contractors and so they do not know how to communicate to the direct consumer.  So I appreciated them and they made things simple as possible.

  • We came home from dinner last night to find we couldn't get in the front door.  We have a back door -- but don't usually carry a key to it.  Luckily, one of us had taken it last night, so we weren't left totally out in the cold.  This morning, I checked Angie's List, as I always do for home repairs.  Guardian Angel Locksmith was not only nearby, but came highly recommended.
I called, set up a convenient afternoon appointment, and Gilli arrived exactly as promised.  He analyzed the problem quickly, had a spare part in the truck, fixed it all in no time.  Quick and painless.  And he was a pleasure to work with, easy-going and completely professional.
I would highly recommend Guardian Angel Locksmith...and Gilli in particular...to anyone who needs this kind of service.

  • As always, Mathew and his team did a outstanding job. The crew was always professional and polite. Everyone on site always did a fantastic job with great attention to detail. The biggest part of this project was the kitchen renovation. The original 1937 kitchen was never updated and was seriously needing help. Mathew had it gutted to the walls and the end result is nothing short of amazing. Custom cabinets, quartz countertops, tile flooring and a new powder room. I still can't believe that this is my kitchen! Every project that MRD Construction has done has turned out better than anticipated. I can't wait for the next one.

  • I truly cant say enough good things about my experience with Premiere.  They took on my massive job and brought it to the next level.  Their work ethic & final product far surpassed my expectations.  Adam and his team really are happy to do anything and everything to do the job right and leave the customer satisfied.  There was no cutting corners.  And also - no bad attitudes when I changed my mind a few times :)  Our timeline to get the project done was insanely tight, but there was nothing the team couldn't handle.  Every single worker was polite, professional, friendly and fun!

  • We hired Pristine to do the remodel of our house.  We interviewed 5
other contractors and viewed their work and interviewed the customers
before deciding on Pristine.  Pristine was not the cheapest bid but
because this was an extensive renovation we wanted someone that we could
trust completely.  We talked to too many angry people after their
construction.  We wanted the peace of mind of knowing it would be done
right.  And now, 6 months after the job is done we are still happy and
still glad we chose Pristine.  The fact is that they told us they could
complete the job in 5 months, when others ranged from 7-9 months.  This
was a big deal to us because we were staying in the house during
construction.  Everyone told us it would take way longer.  Well, guess
what.  They finished the job AHEAD of schedule.  And even though we
ripped out all of our bedrooms and our bathrooms,  Nathan and Mike made
sure we could stay in the house and were as comfortable as possible.
Whenever we had a problem with anything Nathan or Mike responded to us
IMMEDIATELY.   It was not easy for them to do that much work with us
staying in the house but they totally accommodated us.
On a job this big on a 1930's house there are always problems that come up, but
Nathan and Mike would always address the problem as soon as possible.
Tiny things still come up and Nathan and Mike are there even though to
make sure we are happy even though they have been completely paid.
I think one of the clearest examples of why we are so happy is when we
picked tile that did not have ceramic finishing pieces.  We HATED the
metal pieces that were about to be installed.  Mike and Nathan showed up
and figured out a way to create the finished look that we wanted by
polishing the edges of the tile so we did not have to use the metal.
Every day we go into our bathrooms we are so happy.  They didn't even
charge us for the metal material.  The fact is that they do quality
work, with a personal touch, in a reasonable time frame.  I can't think
of anything else you would want.

  • We lived with a backwards-facing garage for 15 years before mustering the funds and gumption to do something about it. Nick and his crew made our dreams a reality: we can now drive straight into our garage from the street. And it?s gorgeous!
Nick took a little longer to deliver his bid than competing contractors did. But in every possible way, he was worth the wait. Here are
some of the reasons we?ll be using Nick again:
    1. He showed an appreciation for and familiarity with older homes (ours was built in 1941), and had an aesthetic sensibility unmatched by his competitors. He lived up to his company name.
    2. He took the time to get it right, both structurally and aesthetically. He worked closely with our architect and garage door contractor. And when our pedestrian door was delivered with flaws, he encouraged us to return it. This threw off the schedule and probably inconvenienced him, but he prioritized our satisfaction and the success of the project.
    3. He was concerned for both his clients and his workers. I got the sense that he paid his people fairly and treated them well, and they respected him for it. I also felt that he hired people who were honest, friendly, and accessible. I ask a lot of questions, and as a woman, I don?t want to be dismissed, talked down to (or worse yet, ogled). These types of problems, experienced with workers from various other companies over the years, were never an issue with Nick and his crew--I always felt respected. He had great social skills?never made me feel wrong or dumb. And he responded swiftly to my many calls and emails?thanks!
    4. When there were hiccups in the process, I always felt that Nick was on our side, and the integrity of workmanship and customer satisfaction were of paramount importance to Nick. There were no showdowns, arguments, or drama: just people working together to find mutually satisfactory solutions.
    5. Jacob! Wow?what a terrific work ethic. If he had a dollar for every question he patiently answered, he?d be able to retire. Skilled painter and craftsman.
Overall, the experience was fantastic. We received more than our money?s worth: a beautiful garage and driveway. Thanks, Nick, we?ll be calling you again soon.

  • My wife and I recently moved into a condominium with three separate entrances. We wanted to make sure we would change all of our locks so as to know exactly who has keys. One of the entrances is a set of double-doors. After putting down hardwood floors recently, the deadbolts no longer worked and they were only held shut by an L-bracket and a screw - not at all secure. To make things more complicated, the doors are metal with a foam core, so DIY was out of the question.
After finding Guardian Angel on Angie's list, I called the number and spoke with Eli. He was very friendly and professional and agreed to come over the following day within a 2-hour window after I would get home from work. The next day, he arrived within the first half-hour and explained all of our options. Right away he identified that we really didn't need to change our lock sets, but rather just re-key them. His suggestion cut the price in half from what it would have cost to replace them.
He had everything he would need for the job right on his van. His solution for securing the double doors was perfect as he ended up using locking patio-door deadbolts. They actually look far better than the basic brass deadbolts they replaced. Most importantly, the doors are now properly secured.
He was polite, efficient, and swept up after himself when he was finished. We were happy to pay his invoice and would happily call Guardian Angel to come back again.
