Garage Building reviews in Thousand Oaks

This is the first time I met this contractor and certainly not last. I wanted to build a garage and asked for that work some contractors. The answers were very different and USA Builders gave me most realistic offer. The price was reasonable and the time of start acceptable. The whole crew was phenomenal, they worked non stop and built wonderful garage in promised time. Very professional, highly recommended company!

It's been almost 5 years since Benson Restoration and Construction considered the work completed. I retained less then 10% of the several hundred thousand dollars worth of work done by Benson Restoration and Construction. It wasn't even close to the amount necessary to finish or fix the work that wasn't completed or wasn't done correctly. Everything from the new roof to the new floors and a lot of what was in between has been a problem. I guess Mike knew that there were a lot of things not right because he never came back to finish the punch list or collect the amount withheld. I really liked Mike and thought he was an honest businessman. If you use Benson Restoration & Construction hold back a lot more then I did - to insure the job is completed and has been done right!

I had used pearl for a huge overhaul project of my house earlier in the month, and the service was so fantastic, we decided to go with them again. Originally we had intended to separate the work and have some done earlier in the month and the rest done early next year, but as anyone who has had major work done on their house knows, the work process can be somewhat invasive (just having workers there, the noise etc, but that goes for ANY company)- so we decided to just have it done all at once and not have to worry about any additional down time for the house for a while.

live in a 3 bedroom house, and although that allows each of my little ones to have their own room- I really wanted to be able to have an additional space in house for either a playroom or guest bedroom (or both). Originally I was going to add an extension to my house- but after talking with pearl and trying to figure out permits etc, it ended being that converting my garage (which was

truthfully a storage space for junk) into a room was just a better and easier option. They really could have taken me for every penny- but instead of taking the higher profit, they made sure I got the best option for me. I decided I didn?t
need the room to have plumbing (no bathroom or sinks), but I did want it to have nice carpeted floors to match the rest of my house, and I wanted to make sure some natural light got into the space. Pearl made sure to get me all the right permits so that I never have to worry about whether or not the work was legal. They finished everything on time, and I was able to add almost 400sq ft to my house that was just storing stuff I didn?t need. The workmanship is flawless- you cant tell at all that it was once a cluttered, 2 car garage. I was able to be involved the entire time, offering suggestions and giving my opinion about the work. They crew was really considerate to my family by not being excessively loud or coming at ridiculous

hours of the morning or being too messy. It was a painless process, and the price was in my budget. I can?t wait to save for my family?s next build- Im thinking a nice BBQ area in my backyard with a covered patio. I know who I?ll be calling. Thanks a ton Pearl Remodeling!

I took many bids from others, including those with high marks on Angie's List.  Ophir was referred to me by a friend and competitively bid on this project (and another project that is still underway).  He was also a good fit for my project - I received bids from those who just wanted to do the "big" fixes of what I needed to have done and would not take on all the minor "honey do" fixes.  I had others who only bid on the cosmetic work and did not have the breadth of skill needed for all my repairs and upgrades.  Ophir can do (and will do) it all.  He takes the time to work with you, and is extremely responsive.  I am a workaholic and often cannot take time during normal working hours to deal with issues related to this project.  Ophir is very accessible (days, nights, weekends) and makes sure any questions or issues I may have are promptly addressed.  He has helped me greatly in making choices for some of my cosmetic upgrades - I showed him pictures off the internet of things I liked, and he took the time to pre-select samples of materials targeted just to my tastes (and conveniently dropped them off for me) to help me make decisions more quickly.  The quality of work is strong - the structutral work passes the city inspections and the cosmetic work is visually clean and precisely done.  It is very apparent that the work was done by a professional.  He and his crews arrive promptly for their work, they keep the work areas relatively tidy, take care to cover and protect areas not part of the construction, and are respectful of the neighbors.  He also absorbed many of the small fixes into the bigger project, no extra charge, and worked with me to find creative and cost effective solutions for things unexpectedly uncovered along the way.  At the project outset, we worked together to document in detail the scope of work and the payment installments, including how much would be set aside pending final satisfactory completion of the job.  He brought his credentials and proof of insurance (saving me the time to go digging for that information), and during the project he carefully went back to that paperwork to clearly document payment installments against completion of certain stages in the project.  Scope changes were separately assessed, agreed upon and documented.  As unexpected complications were discovered that were part of the agreed upon scope of the project, Ophir handled these and stood by his agreed upon bid.  Overall Ophir is a consummate professional and I look forward to working with him in the future.

Originally asked to bid on garage door remodel, added possible patio cover, then replacement of entire patio cover and paint all wood trim and home and new patio. However, sales proposal did not meet construction manager's approval, so jobs cancelled except for painting of home. Did a good job with the home. Power washed, then sanded/scraped, filled/caulked, then applied paints. Colors not checked by painter, but antique ivory/light brown close but a bit yellower than original. White was and quot;dove whiteand quot;. Painter used a white called and quot;swiss coffeeand quot;. End result VERY GOOD. Only exception was that painter was reluctant to paint garage door, and refused to paint existing patio.

They did an excellent job.  All the work was done with the highest workmanship in an orderly fashion.  Mark and his crew were very professional throughout the process, accepting changes as we went along.  Mark got all the appropriate permits from the City, arranged all work schedules with the various crews and kept the communication lines open with us.  The Spa 10 x 8 with stone around it is quite beautiful.  The garage was done in high quality, and the stamped concrete really blends it all together.  I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a high quality honest contractor.
